This study aims to providing information about the development of the collections of the National Museum of Ravenna and of the Soprintendenza's Library. Research in this direction have started a long time, mostly by Luciana Martini. In particular the purpose is to focus the contribution given by Enrico Pazzi with his legacy. During construction it came under the direction of the Government, and was entitled Museo Nazionale. Pazzi worked on the project from 1877 until his death, in 1899. When he died he left a substantial legacy consists of archaeological objects and older artworks, books and drawings. I have done my research mainly in the Historical Archive of Ravenna and in the Historical Archive of the Soprintendenza of Ravenna. The documents identifi ed were transcribed and annotated. Through documentation I have identifi ed some important groups of materials attributable to the generosity of Pazzi, that are currently in the collections of the Museum and of the Library.
; An unpublished printed map of Sicily, made by Agatino Daidone in 1713, was recently and accidentally found in the Biblioteche riunite "Civica e Ursino Recupero" of Catania. It is a very rare edition, cited over the course of three centuries by several scholars, of which trace was completely lost. The discovery made it possible to bring to light and reproduce this very rare document that adds a precious piece to the history of the island's cartography. In this essay we intend to describe, contextualize and analyze this precious cartographic testimony.
; This research analyzes the implications of the introduction of the codecision procedure as the ordinary legislative procedure in the process Common Agricultural Policy reform. The different distribution of powers between the European institutions modified the institutional structure and give to the European Parliament the role of colegislator in agricultural matters. The form taken by the new European agricultural policy derives from the configuration of the bargaining power that each actor has shown in the seat of the trialogue negotiations. The research attempts to verify the predictive accuracy of different models of legislative bargaining through the comparison and verification of prediction errors on the final results of some salient issues emerged during the Common Agricultural Policy reform process, and at the same time, try to identify the weight of the power of European Parliament as colegislator in the of CAP reform process post-2013.
; At a certain point in history, Trieste was a crucial place for observing main political events due to its role as a centre of important naval and insurance companies which based their trade and interests on collecting data and analyzing the international affairs. Silvio Benco, a journalist from Trieste, showed interest for geopolitics, a discipline which proved to be a useful instrument for analyzing international political events in regard to geographical circumstances at the end of the 19th century. Thanks to the scientific instruments of geopolitics, he was able to investigate the changes in the international balance of the first half of the 20th century, giving much attention to certain important aspects: the arms race of great European countries over the domination of the sea which resulted in an expense so large that it damaged the economies of certain countries, the appearance of new political powers (Japan and United States of America) which fought over the domination of Pacific, the decline of Russian Empire which was in deep crisis because of hard inner turbulence, the weakness of European countries, whose political systems were becoming more fragile and were unable to properly shift towards democratic societies and were dominated by authoritarianism and the rise of military class with the full approval of financial and industrial circles; the crisis of Balkans which will accelerate the decline of Austrian-Hungarian Empire and Ottoman Empire, revealing a dangerous crack in the balance of South-East Europe. Finally, after Second World War, Silvio Benco believed that a new European spirit could be created considering the mistakes which created a conflict even more terrifying than the one before. Benco was aware that Europe's historical role had faded when it gave up its culture and liberal spirit, that the continent was excluded from the process of creating the future. Benco's main concern was the loss of identity: he was curious to see what the progress and modern times shall bring, but he did not trust the great mass movements, he believed they could not be kept under control.

Paul M. Sweezy (New York, 1910-2004) was a co-founder and, for over half a century, co-editor of Monthly Review. At the basis of his theoretical thought there is a Marxian approach, open and creative, and an attention to high elaboration of the twentieth century – Hilferding and Veblen, Schumpeter and Keynes, Kalecki and Steindl. With The Theory of Capitalist Development (1942) and Monopoly Capital (1966, written with Baran), he was a reference point on a global level. Monopoly capitalism is marked by an organic tendency to stagnation. Antagonistic factors can, in some way, counteract it: waste, with induced consumption and armaments, epoch-making innovations and wars. In the Sweezian reflection of the last quarter of the twentieth century – also in dialogue with Minsky – the systemic trend is particularly counteracted by the large indebtedness and finance explosion. However, finance becoming autonomous and placing itself at the center of the system increases its instability and unsustainability and exposure to the crisis.
This paper examines the common imagery of the inscriptions found on thewalls of some Latin American and European cities. We aim to understand the graffiti andother mural artistic manifestations as an insurgence of the words. In order to reflectcritically on these manifestations, we examine how the visual language of graffiti relatesto visual art and literature. To this end, we follow Aby Warburg's Atlas Mnemosynemethod to address narrative representations as contemporary generational trends. With the help of the theoretical approach of Walter Benjamin's studies of art and politics,we intend to reflect on the aestheticization of revolt through the appropriation of publicspaces. The central point of the paper is to think about walls as places for experimentingwith marginal forms of co-creation that question the strategies of visibility of the urbansemiological regime. As a conclusion, we interrogate the aesthetics of the revolt usingthe notions of territory and contemporary culture. The walls have not only become aspace for political struggle, but also supports for creative urban practices where artmeets the everyday life. ; This paper examines the common imagery of the inscriptions found on thewalls of some Latin American and European cities. The finding at the National Library of Spain of an eighteenth-century engraving of the bridge over the river Milicia, along the coast to the east of Palermo, is a chance not only to shed light on the complex history of the design and construction of one of the main Sicilian bridges, but also to attribute the real paternity rather than to the famous architect Ferdinando Fuga to the lesser-known military engineer, serving the Austrian Crown, Michelangelo Blasco, whose long and successful career is reconstructed: from Sicily, through Milan, Wien and Lisbon, to the uncharted territory of Brazil.
Govor često ispada nerazumljiv, nejasan, dvosmislen, samoreferencijalan. Pragmalingvistička istraživanja pronalaze u takvim diskursima relevantna saznanja vezana za sve implicitne oznake konteksta i koteksta. U ovome smo istraživanju analizirali i potom raspravili govor triju hrvatskih političara, a sve sličnosti i razlike u govoru proizlaze iz analize deikse, presupozicija, implikatura i govornih činova. ; Although directed towards immediacy, simplicity and clarity, the political discourse hides generic concepts and clichés. It often appears unclear, vague, ambiguous, and self-referential. In this type of discourse pragmalinguistic research identifies relevant information related to all the implicit elements of the context and co-text. In this research, we analyzed and discussed three speeches given by Croatian politicians. All the similarities and differences between them were found through the analysis of deixis, presuppositions, conversational implications and speech acts.
This article intends to analyze the link existing in Apel between ethics of communication, democracy and difference. In the German author, the argumentative reason is not circumventable. The communicative and intersubjective nature of human identity founds democracy as a form of life and just coexistence. Democracy allows the individual to discover himself as tied to a common history. The paradigm of communicative philosophy overcomes both social nihilism and the dogmatism of some versions of liberalism. This rediscovery of philosophy is connected to the possibility of a social ethics and a free, equal and democratic public discourse. The problems facing today's world cannot find an adequate answer in provisional syntheses of the Postmodern, nor in the deflation of the concept of truth.Apel's Philosophy advocates linked to the public dimension, arises from the community affair and from human history. What sustains and normatively guides social interaction is a special solidarity, which springs from the intersubjective dimension and the discursive nature of our "co-world".
