In this publication, information is given about the dependence of South Africa on collaboration with the outside world in the field of computers, especially for military purposes. An overview is given of the ties between different countries and South Africa in this field, and sanctions measures taken by these countries (i.e. the European Community, Switzerland, the Commonwealth, USA, Japan, Taiwan, South Korea, Israel and the Nordic countries). Finally, attention is given to the ties of the various western computer firms with South Africa
Based on CHEd Memorandum Order No. 79, series of 2017, the Bachelor of Technical Vocational Teacher Education (BTVTEd) Major in Computer Hardware Servicing program is designed to enhance the knowledge, desirable values and skills of computer service technicians in accordance with industry standards. This mixed design research sought to determine the feasibility of offering this program in Sorsogon State University - Bulan Campus (SorSU-BC). It was found that the offering of the program is highly necessary and can expect a moderate sufficiency of enrolees. The program will also provide significant benefits to the different domains of the society such as the government, the community, the business industries and the students. The offering of the program is also highly sustainable in terms of enrolment, faculty, competition and facilities. It is also consistent with the vision and mission of the university and adheres to the pertinent legal foundations. Generally, faculty requirements are complied with but there is a need to hire faculty members with master's degree in technology education or its equivalent. The laboratories and physical facilities required for the offering of the program are already available considering the existence of the IT-education and teacher-education programs. Therefore, the offering of BTVTEd major in Computer Hardware Servicing is found to be feasible. It is recommended for SorSU Bulan Campus to craft a program curriculum for BTVTEd Computer Hardware Servicing so that it can be offered in the university with the approval of the Commission on Higher Education.
Maģistra darba tēma: Cenu politikas lomas izpēte uzņēmuma pozicionēšanā datortirdzniecības tirgū Latgalē. Zinātniskais darbs sastāv no trijām daļām, kurās iekļauti cenas veidošanas teorija un tās pielietošana datortirdzniecības uzņēmumos, Latgales datortirdzniecības uzņēmumu cenu politikas realizēšana un atšķirību izpēte, piedāvājumu izstrāde un realizēšana cenu politikas realizēšanai, secinājumi un priekšlikumi. Zinātniskais darbs izstrādāts ar mērķi izvērtēt cenu politikas lomu uzņēmuma pozicionēšanā datortirdzniecības tirgū. Cenu politikas lomas izpēte ir ļoti svarīga jebkuram uzņēmumam, no tās ir atkarīgs uzņēmuma izaugsme un attīstība, kā arī iespēja iegūt lielāku peļņu. Izpētīts pieprasijums uz datortehniku Latgales tirgū, kā cenu politika praktiski tiek realizēta Latgales datortirdzniecības uzņēmumos, atklāti pozitīvi momenti un trūkumi, kā arī izvirzīti priekšlikumi efektīvai cenu politikai. Veicot iepriekš minēto pētijumu, autore ir izmantojusi ekonomiskās analīzes, kā arī statistiskās analīzes metodes, tādus kā datu salīdzināšana, grupēšana un daudzfaktoru regresijas apreķināšana. Secinājumi un priekšlikumi, kas ir veikti darbā, palīdzēs uzņēmuma vadībai veikt efektīvāku cenu politikas realizēšanu, novērtējot ietekmējošo faktoru ietekmes nozīmīgumu. Darba apjoms: 78 lpp. teksts, 11 attēli, 22 tabulas un 28 nosaukumi informācijas avoti. ; The title of the paper is "Research of the price policy role in company positioning at the computer market in Latgale". Structurally the paper falls into three parts – the theory of price formation and its use by the computer enterprises, realisation of this theory at the computer companies in Latgale and research of their distinction, elaboration and realisation of the demand in the price policy, conclusion and suggestions. This paper has been worked out to evaluate the price policy role in company positioning at the computer market. The research of the price policy role is crucial for any company, because its growth and development, as well as the opportunity to get bigger income depend on this. The results of this work are the studied demand at the computer market in Latgale, how the price policy is practically applied by the companies of this region, its advantages and weaknesses, as well as the suggestions for its better effectiveness. While making this research, the author used the methods of economical and statistical analysis, like the comparison of data, grouping and the calculation of multiple-factor regression. The conclusion and suggestions of this work can help the companies to carry out the more effective realisation of the price policy, evaluating the importance of the influencing factors. The paper contains 78 pages, 11 pictures, 22 tables and a bibliography list of 28 entries.
