According to a new "textual criticism" by a scholar, the Yuan drama 'Baiyueting'of Guan Hanqing was adapted from the South tune "Baiyueting" The paper focuses on the status of the North tune "Baiyueting" and the poetry-related areas of the South tune "Baiyueting" after citing the wrong textual criticism. From the perspective of the development of the Chinese drama art history, the paper makes a deep ,penetrating and full analysis of the relations between the two and relative issues. As a result, the academic propositions are confirmed, such as "the North tune' Baiyueting' was created by Guan Hanqing on the basis of his own experiences in politics in the early stage of his creation", "The South tune 'Baiyueting'was created in the mid-Yuan dynasty by a person living in Hangzhou called Shihui by thinking over and over again of the North tune'Baiyueting'","The two stages of the booming of the north tune'Baiyueting' and the development of the South tune 'Baiyueting' are two continual stages in the development history of the Chinese drama art, which are also by no means irreversible", thus providing the academic support with new facts and the notion of original poetry for the rewriting or revising the development history of the Chinese drama. Keywords: the North tune'Baiyueting', the South tune 'Baiyueting', Place in the History of Literature, Old Edition of the Capital of Yan, Think over, Poetry-related area Résumé Un certain savant a récemment proclamé que Le Pavillon de l'adoration de la Lune de Guan Hanqing fut adapté du théatre du Sud du même nom.

Beginning with ʿusūls, that is, the ḥadith booklets which were originally formed to record the Imam's words back in the late second hijrī century, Shīʿī (Ithnā ʿAsharī/Twelver) ḥadith scholarship has developed a comprehensive and unique literature over the last twelve centuries. One of the unique features of Twelver Shīʿīte ḥadith approach is the fact that the systematic application of isnad-centered criticism in the study and evaluation of ḥadiths with regard to accuracy was begun to be practiced after the 7th hijrī century and gained wide acceptance only after that time. To put it differently, the text (matn) and the textual criteria, instead of the chain of transmitters (sanad) were central in the evaluation of ḥadith reports for a long time in the history of Shīʿī ḥadith scholarship. This centrality of textual criteria employed in the evaluation of ḥadith reports continued throughout the Shīʿī ḥadith history and it reached its most effective position in the last century. Despite the decisive role the text and textual criteria have played in the study of ḥadiths in Shīʿa, textual criticism has received little scholarly attention so far, which makes this topic a significant research question. Furthermore, in order to examine the exact meaning of textual criticism present in Islamic tradition as comprehensively as possible, it is a necessity to approach it not only from Sunnī perspective but also with an approach that includes all the other madhhabs. Correspondingly, this study, Şīʿa'da Metin Tenkidi [Textual Criticism In Shīʿa] (PhD. Dissertation, Ankara University, Institute of Social Science, Department of Main Islamic Sciences, Ankara, Turkey, 2017) has explored the different approaches and practices of textual criticism as employed over the course of Shīʿīte ḥadith tradition. The social and political unrest, especially during the 2nd and 3rd hijrī centuries before the Shīʿa (Ithnā ʿAsharīyah) completed its development as a systematic Islamic madhhab, led to the emergence of ġhulāt, the extremist groups ...

This thesis deals with textual criticism and is dedicated to chapter 58 of the Book of Isaiah. This chapter of the Trito-Isaiah is particularly characterized by infrequent words and a topic present only in these verses: the theme of the fast. Our study deals with six textual witnesses represented by the Hebrew text (1QIsaa and MT), the Septuagint and the textual traditions of the Old Latin, the Vulgate and the Targum. Based on four chapters with a thematic structure which recalls the prophetic plea, this thesis involves a statistical approach, a syntactical analysis, the study of lexical fields, and finally theological tendencies specific to each textual witness. Thus, each textual tradition reflects another step of the theological thinking and also a different socio political context. The Hebrew text contains rare terms, sometimes difficult to explain. The ancient traditions meet with editorial requirements specific to each language, and also reveal editorial options. If the Vulgate shows a great fidelity to the Hebrew text, the Septuagint is quite different. The Alexandrian redactor demonstrates a real editorial originality by changing the rhetoric of the Hebrew text, introducing stylistic device and simplifying the vocabulary. The targumic redactor, for his part, introduces significant modifications, either to avoid giving the Lord anthropomorphic characters or when his omnipotence could be put into question. He also emphasizes the explicative nature of the text with syntagma insertions. Finally, each translator introduces his own theological perspectives.

There will be, of course, the unavoidable local commemorations of specific events: the discovery of such and such island, the anniversary of some European misdeed, the struggle for the valley of Mexico; but the collective remembrance of the Encounter/Discovery will have been allowed to run its course. In truth, after a veritable flood of publications, seminars, operas, protests, and ghastly movies, one is not too sorry to see the whole affair put safely away for another century. If there is any consolation to this continuous process of recovered memories and history, it is that a good number of sensible and scholarly works have been published - including some of those reviewed here - which demolish the idealization and glorification of the Atlantic enterprise and set the history of the Encounter/Discovery within a proper historical context.

Annotation, Since the days of the Spanish Conquest, the indigenous populations of Andean Bolivia have struggled to preserve their textile-based writings. This struggle continues today, both in schools and within the larger culture. The Metamorphosis of Headsexplores the history and cultural significance of Andean textile writings--weavings and kipus (knotted cords), and their extreme contrasts in form and production from European alphabet-based texts. Denise Arnold examines the subjugation of native texts in favor of European ones through the imposition of homogenized curricula by the Educational Reform Law. As Arnold reveals, this struggle over language and education directly correlates to long-standing conflicts for land ownership and power in the region, since the majority of the more affluent urban population is Spanish speaking, while indigenous languages are spoken primarily among the rural poor. The Metamorphosis of Heads acknowledges the vital importance of contemporary efforts to maintain Andean history and cultural heritage in schools, and shows how indigenous Andean populations have incorporated elements of Western textual practices into their own textual activities. Based on extensive fieldwork over two decades, and historical, anthropological, and ethnographic research, Denise Arnold assembles an original and richly diverse interdisciplinary study. The textual theory she proposes has wider ramifications for studies of Latin America in general, while recognizing the specifically regional practices of indigenous struggles in the face of nation building and economic globalization

Europe's nation-states emerged from a complex of nineteenth-century developments in which cultural consciousness-raising played a formative role. The nineteenth-century reflection on Europe's national identities involved a re-inventory and revalorisation of the vernacular cultural past and, above all, the nation's literary heritage. Everywhere in Europe, foundational texts (including medieval epics and romances, ancient laws and chronicles) were retrieved from their obscure repositories. In new, printed editions, prepared according to the emerging academic standards of textual scholarship, the
