Cultural Linguistics ; Lingwistyka kulturowa
According to the author, Cultural Linguistics (necessarily capitalised) is a multidisciplinary area of research on the relationhsip between language, culture, and cognition. Following Palmer, the author locates Cultural Linguistics in the vicinity of cognitive linguistics (with its image schemas, conceptual metaphors, and cognitive structures) and linguistic anthropology (which includes Boasian linguistics, ethnosemantics, and ethnography of speaking). The common platform for Cultural Linguistics, linguistic anthropology, and cognitive linguistics is an exploration of cultural models, which belong to the broader category of cultural conceptualisations. Recently Cultural Linguistics has incorporated insights from such areas as complexity theory or the notion of distributed cognition, enriching its own understanding of cultural cognition. Three areas of application of Cultural Linguistics are discussed: investigation of world Englishes, diagnosing causes of misunderstandings in intercultural communication, and identifiying cases of linguistic manipulation in the use of metaphors in political discourse. ; Lingwistyka kulturowa (ang. Za Palmerem autor sytuuje lingwistykę kulturową w bliskości lingwistyki kognitywnej (która operuje pojęciami schematów wyobrażeniowych, metafor pojęciowych i struktur poznawczych) i antropologii lingwistycznej (w ramach której mieści się lingwistyka w stylu Franza Boasa, etnosemantyka i etnografia mówienia). Wspólną płaszczyznę zainteresowań lingwistyki kulturowej, antropologii lingwistycznej i lingwistyki kognitywnej tworzą modele kulturowe przynależne do szerszej kategorii konceptualizacji kulturowych. Ostatnio lingwistyka kulturowa korzysta z nowych podejść badawczych, takich jak teoria systemów złożonych lub koncepcja poznania rozproszonego i wzbogaca swoje rozumienie poznania kulturowego. Autor w kolejności omawia trzy obszary zastosowań lingwistyki kulturowej: do badania odmian angielszczyzny, do diagnozowania przyczyn nieporozumień w komunikacji międzykulturowej, do ujawniania manipulacji językowej w sposobie posługiwania się metaforami w dyskursie politycznym.

CONFLICTIZATION OF THE CULTURAL AND HISTORICAL SPACE OF UKRAINIANNESS UNDER CONDITIONS OF MODERN THREATS: THEORY AND PRACTICE

The article deals with the theoretical and practical aspects of the problem of conflictization of the cultural and historical space of Ukrainianness under conditions of modern threats. The essence of conflicts is revealed in the article, the interpretation on the conflict as an attribute of social life is done, its influence on the processes of social transformations is traced. The causes and conditions of the emergence, escalation and resolution of conflicts on various levels are analyzed, the possibility and necessity of managing them is substantiated. The article is devoted to theoretical and methodological analysis of contemporary studies in conflictology. It is proved that it is reasonable to apply an integrative approach to classification of social conflicts. An integrative approach to the analysis of conflicts is the methodological basis of research, which involves its consideration not only as a source of destruction and death, but also as the initial place of development of society. The autor comes to conclusion that the term of conflictization processes has considerable scientific potential for study of social conflicts. The analysis of the essence of conflictization's processes, their specific character and sources of emergence is done on the base of conflictological theories. The article analyzes special features of contemporary conflicts in the context of global processes. The specificity of conflictization in interstate relations in the era of globalization raise this phenomenon to transnational and even planetary scale. Under conditions of militarization of conflict interaction, the level of conflict potential also increases. The escalation of tension and the use of violence through militarization of conflict interactions leads to armed confrontation. Contemporary armed conflicts pose a significant threat to humanity as they may expand in the context of globalization. The formulating of a row of measures (of humanitarian, socio-economic and politico-military nature) is aimed to prevent challenges, dangers and threats to the national interests of Ukraine. It is also necessary to maintain a balance of forces, values, resources, political, legal and socio-economic problems in the society and the state. The importance of a comprehensive strategy of counter the destructive actions of foreign mercenaries in Ukraine has been substantiated. The focus is on the use of political and diplomatic means through the active participation of the international community and the strengthening of economic sanctions against the Russian Federation. «Smart power» is interpreted as the ability to combine the resources of «hard» and «soft» power in order to strengthen the position of Ukraine on the international scene. The importance of the strategy of «smart power» as a basis for overcoming the armed conflict on the territory of Ukraine and the reintegration of the occupied territories was substantiated. We have made an attempt to interpret conflictization processes in the framework of an integrative approach. The proneness to conflict is now playing a distinctive role in the social and political life of the Ukraine. The discursive-consensus and assertive strategies for successful solution of a social conflict is considered to be an optimal one.
NON-ECONOMIC FACTORS IN THE THEORY OF ECONOMIC GROWTH: A SOCIO-CULTURAL COMPONENT ; НЕЕКОНОМІЧНІ ФАКТОРИ В ТЕОРІЇ ЕКОНОМІЧНОГО ЗРОСТАННЯ: СОЦІОКУЛЬТУРНА СКЛАДОВА
Currently, the observed changes in the economies of highly developed countries indicate the increasing importance of sociocultural potential as an important factor of economic development, which largely determines the efficiency of the functioning of the economy. The question of the relationship between culture and national mentality with economic behavior and social institutions (formal and informal) is of particular importance in modern conditions.Analysis of the impact of various economic and non-economic factors on the development of the economy is a topical problem of economic science throughout the period of formation and development of economic systems. In contemporary research, the authors move away from the traditional approach to economic growth, which does not take into account the importance of institutions, cultural traditions, religion, the role of environmental, political and social factors. Empirical studies of economic growth factors that have used standard production functions have failed to confirm the thesis about the decisive role of «physical capital» accumulations.Scientists have found that in addition to traditional factors (labor, land, capital), the growth of the national economy is influenced by others: political (socio-political stability, nature of political regime, peculiarities of economic and social policy of the state, etc.); social; geographical (geographical location, climatic conditions, minerals, nature of population reproduction, etc.); innovative and technological; infrastructure; psychological, socio-cultural.The role of socio-cultural potential of society in the system of economic development of the country is analyzed. The relationship between culture and national mentality with economic behavior and public institutions has been established. G. Hofstede's approach to constructing a system of socio-cultural indicators that determine the socio-cultural potential of economic growth is analyzed. The socio-cultural characteristics that determine the economic growth of the country are characterized. The analysis of the methodology of shaping the sociocultural potential of the society made it possible to identify indicators that will allow to quantify it. Instrumentalna wartość kultury w polityce kulturalnej miast

The article aims to answer the question what factors determine the possibility of instrumental use of culture for urban development. The article refers to the empirical research (conducted in 41 cities) which is based on the theory of cultural value by John Holden. According to its theoretical assumptions, the cultural value, generated by entities operating in the cultural sector and defined from the perspective of different stakeholders, is the result of three different values: institutional, instrumental and intrinsic. The research shows that the most important areas affecting the possibility of using culture for urban development are: tangible and intangible resources, cultural policy and creative capital. The most worrying problem for the possible use of culture lies in the lack of dialogue and consensus in cultural policy.
Wzorce kulturowe, formalne instytucje a partnerstwo i dialog

The author of the article poses a few questions and proposes some answers concerning cultural applicability of the partnership and dialogue institutions. The core of the mentioned problem revolves around the ability of cultural adaptation of the formal EU norms. The theory and method used in the analysis is aim-functional which is oriented on the research into concrete cultural enclosing of formal institutions. The empirical thread of the argument is the Polish case of partnership and dialogue institutions in the European structural and investment funds. The text presents an attempt to supplement a discussion about the direction and shape of the public policy with significant threads which are often being pushed to the margin of analytical attention and public practice. On one hand, the goal, method and style of narration refers to the patterns of the participatory models of public policy known from the publications of Western authors. On the other, to the Polish empirical analyses and theoretical generalizations. The main thesis is simple as repercussion of day and night, but still seems not well understood: the predominance of cultural institutions over formal ones. It brings result in requirement of modifying the mutual relations towards more partnership and deliberative.
Project management as strategic instrument for socio-cultural sphere development
The purpose of the research is to identify and analyze the main components of effective management of project activity as a unique generator of the competitiveness of management of socio-cultural industries that can ensure the implementation and high level of viability of socio-cultural projects in the conditions of globalization. The methodological basis of the study is the dialectic principle of cognition, the systematic approach and the most important provisions of the theory and practice of management. The general scientific and interdisciplinary methods of research are used, in particular, abstract-logical, modeling and sociocultural. Scientific novelty consists in the application of cultural and psychological approaches to the substantiation of a holistic system of necessary qualities, features of the functioning and implementation of project management, subjective factors of efficiency, which play an essential role in shaping its competitiveness. Conclusions. An effective project management is defined as a strategic tool for the development of the socio-cultural sphere, the features of which are: firstly, that its holistic concept is based on the interaction of economic, cultural, socio-psychological, creative and technological aspects; secondly, its effectiveness depends on the effective management of time, material and human resources, the project team, the introduction of innovations and the effective use of investments, as well as from the implementation of creative potential, professional competences (multicultural, speech, information, political, social and psychological, etc.); Thirdly, its competitiveness as an integral, complex comparative characteristic of competitive advantages, factors of management and productivity of the use of resources, compliance of the business entity with objective socio-cultural conditions, a measure of attractiveness for the consumer of socio-cultural services.

The article from the standpoint of cultural analysis examined predictors of globalization as a special phenomenon of the twentieth century. It is noted that under the influence of globalization, not only there was "worldeconomy", but there have been dramatic changes in lifestyle and way of life of millions of people. Thus it is in the culture of the impact of globalization was the most ambitious. It is noted that in the course of globalization enhances a difference in the level of cultural development of the countries and peoples, new forms of inequality, including inequalities of power of different social groups, classes, nations and ethnic groups access information and advanced information technology. However, despite the importance of issues related to the socio-cultural consequences of globalization, they have not received adequate coverage in contemporary cultural studies, then this article is an attempt to identify substantive prerequisites of globalization, due to the need to identify the general trends of world development. Among recent works on the research topic singled work in which globalization is viewed in the context of global development, is justified by the idea that the world is becoming more homogeneous in economic, social, cultural and political terms, that is the spread and acceptance of the standards under which refers to the model of economic, political and social development that emerged in the West and were spread across the planet, labor, and which advocates the thesis of the division of the world, as reflected in the consolidation of the countries and regions of different statuses and roles in the system of global division of labor and well as the rise of conflict in the world, as evidenced by the increasing number of "hot spots", the expansion of international terrorism, etc., as well as works about the two trends of world development – the universalization of the world and its fragmentation. The result of this research is to analyze the author's conclusion that the issue of globalization, being the most discussed in modern writings on economics, political science, cultural theory, philosophy, international relations or other disciplines at the same time remains one of the most controversial issues, including evaluation of different approaches and researchers vary considerably. ; В статье определы та обоснованы основные предпосылки возникновения глобализации как уныкального феномена современного мира с актуализацией внимания не только на традиционных экономических, но и куль- турных аспектах. Confucius doctrine as a leading phenomenon of Chinese civilization (theory and history)
The article is devoted to a comprehensive analysis of the doctrine of Confucianism. The author outlines the figure of Confucius, analyzes the historical background of the initial stage of the formation of Confucianism and the place of this period in the history of China, the main components of the Confucian Canon, principles and categories, the internal logic of the doctrine, the significance of the doctrine for the formation of an integral system of Chinese worldview, moral, ethical and political judgments, attitudes and norms. Against the background of the study of a significant monographic literature, conclusions are drawn about the nature and features of the value core, the principles of China's national identity. China is a country with an ancient almost continuous history. Throughout the historical period of its existence, it has exerted a huge influence not only on neighboring countries, but also on the world as a whole. Almost by the end of the XVIII century. China had the largest GDP and was one of the leading cultural centers. At the present stage, China has a significant economic, political and cultural impact even on fairly remote regions. Today, there is a great return of this country-civilization, on the one hand claiming world leadership in the XXI century, and on the other, it stands for a multipolar world. According to economic indicators, China is one of the three leading countries in the world and offers the world its model of globalization through the so-called "One belt one road" project. Confucius is a representative of the traditional Chinese ethical and legal paradigm, a brand that China offers to the world as part of its own globalization strategy, which provides for the creation of institutions that bear the name of this "first sage of the middle Kingdom".

Pedagogical love in changeable social and cultural contexts ; Педагогiчна любов у мiнливих соцiокультурних контекстах
This article offers considering functional possibilities of the pedagogical live and it's functioning in the changeable social and cultural contexts. The metaphoric and semantics of the pedagogical life are analyzed which unveil its social origin, value's orientations and the role reality in the recursive closed system of education and in educational realities. The distinctions between anthropological and functionalistic interpretation are explicated. Taking one of them absolutely can provoke the formalization of the pedagogical love and its instrumentality application with the consequence to lose the value orientation. It is proving that excessive emphasizing of the pedagogical live in the form of declaration might be regarded as giving evidence of the ideological manipulation both on the level of pedagogical relations "teacher–pupil" and on the level of society. The empirical foundation for the analyze of the appearance forms of the pedagogical love is based on works of W. Suchomlinski and A. Makarenko as the representatives of the heart-central tradition of the Ukrainian philosophical tradition which was founded by H. Skoworoda. The deformations of pedagogical love in the theory and practice of the communist education are regarded in the optic of the tragic anthropology because the pedagogical live in totalitarian societies proposes the struggle with the class enemies. The German discourse upon the problems connected with the pedagogical live gives also very impulses for rethinking this phenomenonin new social and cultural contexts. The pedagogical love in its alien form is often misused in political ideology, especially in educational policyas an available resource needed for completing both the creature of defect and society of defect. This resource is considered as a renewal one, because it must be generated by human being in difficult economic situations. The pedagogical love is often used for replacing political decisions into pedagogical field.The potential of the functionalistic approach is analyzed using the methodology of N. Luhmann theory of the self-referential social system which operates in the form of communication. The function of the pedagogical love as the medium in this communications is defined narrowly as the selection of values for the stabilization of the educational system and preservation of its invariant elements. The theoretical explorations on pedagogical love, which were made byA.Treml, are verified in the realities of the postindustrial society. ; У статтi розглядаються можливостi i перспективи функцiонування педагогiчної любовi у сучасних мiнливих соцiокультурних контекстах, аналiзується пов'язана з нею метафорика та її семантики. Розкриваються вiдмiнностi мiж її антропологiчною та функцiоналiстською нтерпретацiєю. Абсолютизацiя однiєї з них криє у собi загрозу формалiзацiї педагогiчної любовi, втрати нею її гуманiстичних цiннiсних орiєнтацiй. Обґрунтовується, що надмiрне акцентування антропологiчного вимiру педагогiчної любовi, її декларативний характер свiдчать про iдеологiчне манiпулювання нею як на рiвнi педагогiчних вiдносин мiж учнем та вчителем, так i на загальносуспiльному рiвнi. Педагогiчна любов розглядається на матерiалi педагогiчної теорiї та практики В. Сухомлинського i А. Макаренка, де розкривається потенцiал сковородинiвської кордоцентричної традицiї, а також виявляються iдеологiчно обумовленi деформацiї. Розкривається спiвзвучнiсть цих iдей сучасному нiмецькомовному фiлософсько-освiтньому дискурсу, широко представленому у статтi, а також ризики використання педагогiчної любовi як начебто невитратного ресурсу для подолання матерiальних, духовних та технологiчних дефiцитiв у постiндустрiальному суспiльствi з його мiнливими соцiокультурними контекстами, тим самим легiтимiзуючи ототожнення полiтичних рiшень з педагогiчними. Сумiснiсть i комплементарнiсть антропологiчного та функцiоналiстського пiдходiв розглядаються на матерiалi теорiї самореферентних соцiальних систем Н. Лумана, уточнюються основнi поняття цiєї теорiї, необхiднi для опису педагогiчних комунiкацiй як мiнiмальних системних одиниць, якi пiдтримують функцiонування систем освiти i виховання на межi усiх iнших соцiальних систем (як полiтика, економiка, етика, культура та iн.) Узагальнюються теоретичнi напрацювання А. Тремля, якi торкаються функцiонування педагогiчної любовi як медiума у педагогiчних комунiкацiях з високим рiвнем комплексностi, який потребує редукцiї для подальшого ефективного функцiонування систем освiти, виховання, а також у системi педагогiчного знання. Розширюється поняття педагогiчної любовi як любовi до знання, як медiуму у визначеннi дослiдницьких прiоритетiв педагогiв та складової педагогiчної творчостi у мiнливих контекстах постiндустрiальної культури.

Trust Indexes on the Level of Inter-state Relations with the Support of Cultural Diplomacy
The article is dedicated to the isolation and analysis of the main trust indexes on the level of the inter-state relations paying attention on the effectiveness of cultural diplomacy in these processes. This question has a theoretical and practical value: the received results can be used both for further deep theoret ical problem development in international relations and in diplomatic practice due the economic and cultural connections development among nations, during the process of preparing specialists in state regulation, international relations, etc. Methodology of the research is mostly based on the complex approach with using methodology of system-functional analysis, categorical apparatus of Politology, Sociology, Social Psychology, and Theory of Communication, Comparativistics and other Humanities. It is found that the state trust refers to such phenomena, which contain a part of risk in the cooperation with other states, help to solve different collective problems and act in the way, which contradicts the standard definitions of national interests. It is found five indicators of existing trust in the context of inter- state relations: 1) minimal level – is cooperation among states; 2) lower level – is favourable policy of states orientation; 3) middle level – is to conduct the friendly policy among the states; 4) upper level – is types of written rules with temporal storage; 5) high level – is discretionary power in the process of developing politics. The aim of this paper is to present the Frankfurt School's critique of mass culture. The authors particularly seek to demonstrate that critical theory provides a specific interpretation of Marxist philosophy, reinterprets some of its central economic and political notions such as production, distribution, fetishization, consumption and also attempts to illuminate the place and the role of culture industry within global culture. As a conclusion it is argued that the Frankfurt School's approach, while it is still useful to social science programs, tends to be overlooked by social theorists.

W warstwie teoretyczno-metodycznej tekstu przeważa podejście celowościowo-funkcjonalne, zorientowane na analizę instytucji formalnych w ich kulturowym otoczeniu. Wątek empiryczny stanowi problematyka partnerstwa i dialogu w europejskich funduszach strukturalnych i inwestycyjnych. Tekst jest próbą uzupełnienia dyskusji nt. kierunku i kształtu polityki publicznej o kluczowe, a spychane niekiedy na margines, wątki dotyczące praktyki. Modern country has a variety of political confl icts, as confl icts over the choice of strategy and the main vectors of social development, language. Social and political con-fl icts arising from the redistribution of power. Confl ict, defi ned by their sharpness, real and potential consequences. However, the general approach to the study of confl ict in various scientifi c theories reveals from various angles and approaches to their solution. In the process of explaining the dynamic changes that occur in confl ict situations, stands the positive role of confl ict in the community.The current situation in Ukraine is a feature to consider confl icts where many causes of confl icts within the policy becomes politicized due to the speculative use of political par-ties and movements, historical, cultural, spiritual problems present in their interests. This is particularly pertinent issue of bilingualism in Ukraine, measurement of certain historical events and personalities interfaith relations. In modern Ukrainian reality this kind of political confl icts plays a signifi cant role, as confl icts over the choice of strategy and the main vectors of social development, particularly among supporters of liberal and social-oriented strategy, European integration and pro-Russian, Ukraine's entry into NATO and the preservation of the non-aligned status of the Ukrainian state.Keywords: confl ict, social confl ict, struggle, confl ict theory. ; У сучасній Україні існує різновид політичних конфліктів, як конфлікти з приводу вибору стратегії та головних векторів суспільного розвитку, мови. Соціально-політичні конфлікти виникають з приводу перерозподілу влади, визначається їхня гострота, реальні та можливі наслідки. Проте загалом підхід до вивчення соціальних конфліктів у теоріях різних науковців розкрито з різних кутів зору та підходів до їхнього вирішення.
