; Using data of a representative survey among young people in Germany, the present article detects significant shifts in attitudes towards European integration over a relatively short time-span. Surveying these changing attitudes, the article explores the idea that these changing attitudes could signal more than mere short-term reactions to singular political events, but rather point to a reorientation towards the initial conceptualization of European integration as a peace project.

Using the dialectical and documentary method, the article analyzes the state of implementation of the strategic priority of reforming Ukraine's judicial system. It demonstrated that, under the current conditions for Ukraine, European integration is a key priority of the state's foreign policy. Issues hindering the successful implementation of Ukraine's strategic course towards European integration were identified, such as: Ukraine requires a comprehensive renewal of three bodies: the bar association, the law enforcement system, and the courts themselves. The conditions for the effective administration of justice have also been determined: updating of the High Council of Justice and the High Qualification Commission with the participation of international experts; creation of a new court to replace the Kiev District Court of Appeal, which will consider key decisions of state bodies; ensure the fair composition of the Constitutional Court; Building public confidence in the judicial and police system. It is concluded that it is important in the process of reform of the Superior Council of Justice to find a compromise between non-interference in the activities of this body, its components, and to guarantee the transparency and effectiveness of its decisions.
In 2008 the Basque Ministry for Education published a document called "Priority lines for educational innovation" which contained the guidelines for educational innovation in the Basque Autonomous Community. The principles of inclusion, diversity, equity and perspectives for the future are the elements governing the policy for change in the Basque Country. The priority areas promoted by the Government are multiculturalism, multilingualism, school autonomy, coexistence, ICTs, science education and educational quality. The purpose of this article is to describe and analyse the policies developed by the Ministry for Education in the BasqueAutonomous Community. The method of research was a mixed (quantitative and qualitative) expost facto study, and data was collected by means of questionnaires, interviews and discussion groups. The sample population included 143 schools providing compulsory education. The results of the research showed that teachers in the Basque Country consider the Government's action as highly dispersed, not focusing on the more important objectives, and covering too many areas; the teaching staff dissatisfied with the help they receive, they feel the criteria used to select training and innovation projects is not adequate, and, lastly, they claim that the schools should have more autonomy in terms of human resources management. The most innovative schools in the Basque Country are characterised by greater degree of team reflection, having clear rules and guidelines governing working in groups, showing more dedication to the project, better time management, and a higher degree of satisfaction among the teaching staff with support received from the school administration.

The aim of the article was to carry out a socio-philosophical analysis of the legal mentality in the context of European integration processes. Comparative and observational methods were the main methodological tools. The research revealed that the legal mentality of the EU population is characterized by respect for the law, human rights and freedoms. The rights of the individual are recognized as priority over the rights of the state. The Ukrainian legal mentality is characterized by legal nihilism, legal idealism, statism, anomie, detachment from legal culture and ambivalence. It is concluded that, the consolidation of civil society with public authority during the military aggression of the Russian Federation indicates positive changes in the legal mentality. There are some positive changes in the attitude of the EU population towards the future EU membership of Ukraine. Increased legal awareness is a necessary component for the development of Ukraine's legal mentality. The current achievements embodied in the national and European legal mentality in the EU countries can be guidelines for Ukraine to achieve its goal of European integration.
