Drawing on a varied range of documentation preserved in the Archive of the Ministry of Foreign Relations, this text examines and reflects on the international dimension of the struggle against the anarchist movement in Buenos Aires. Generally overlooked by Argentine historians, these documents demonstrate the importance and attention paid to events involving the global anarchist phenomenon and how they shaped local approaches to its repression. Within a timeframe spanning the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th, it focuses especially on the actions of Argentine consulates in cities such as Barcelona, Paris and Montevideo. These activities were as diverse as the countries in which they took place, including surveillance of immigrants, the hiring of spies and informants and attempts to coordinate police efforts internationally. ; A partir de la diversa y heterogénea documentación preservada en el Archivo del Ministerio de Relaciones Exteriores de Argentina, el trabajo se propone reflexionar sobre la dimensión internacional de la lucha contra el anarquismo en Buenos Aires. Esta dimensión, que no ha sido explorada por la historiografía argentina, demuestra la importancia y el peso que tuvieron acontecimientos ligados con el fenómeno anarquista mundial en la definición de prácticas concretas de represión a escala local. Dentro de un recorte temporal que abarca los últimos años del siglo XIX y los primeros del XX, se prestará especial atención a la actividad del cuerpo consular argentino situado en ciudades como Barcelona, París y Montevideo. Dicha actividad fue tan diversa como la geografía que buscó abarcar, incluyendo controles migratorios, contratación de espías e informantes e intentos de coordinación policial transnacional.

El trabajo actual mostrará cómo la Diplomacia Deportiva puede acercarse y generar no sólo vínculos de amistad entre las naciones sino también en otros campos. El desarrollo de la estratégica americana con otros Estados, ha traído notorias mejoras y desafíos a la diplomacia extranjera de los Estados Unidos, promoviendo sus valores, creando redes de organización y comunicación estratégica, y construyendo canales políticos, comerciales y diplomáticos. El papel de la Diplomacia Deportiva debe ser visto desde la perspectiva del poder blando. El análisis y las experiencias reflejadas en este trabajo mostrarán al lector varios casos para entender cómo los gobiernos de Colombia y los Estados Unidos han estado trabajando durante la última década. El deporte como parte fundamental de la identidad de los pueblos, es un bastión importante en el eje estructural de cada cultura. Por lo anterior, la nueva diplomacia busca no solo conectar a los Estados, sino también a la gente, y la forma de hacerlo es a través de sus culturas y el deporte no es la excepción a la regla. ; The current work will show how the Sports Diplomacy may approach and generate not only friendship ties among nations but also in other fields. The develop of this American strategic with other States, it has brought notorious improvements and challenges to the US foreign diplomacy, promoting US values, creating organization networks and communication strategic, and building political, commercial and diplomacy channels. The Sport Diplomacy´s role must be seen from the soft power perspective. The analysis and experiences reflected in this work will show the reader several cases to understand how Colombia and the U.S. governments have been working during the last decade. Sports as a fundamental part of the identity of peoples is an important stronghold on the structural axis of each culture. Therefore, the new diplomacy seeks not only to connect States, but also people, and the way to do it is through their cultures and sports are not the exception of the rule.

The objective of the research was to study Russian State and Orthodox church relations in the context of world war II and the early post-war years. The line of this article is due to the important role of the Russian Orthodox Church in the history, modern political and cultural life of Russia. In this sense, the period of State-Church relations in the USSR during world war II, known in Russia as a great patriotic war, is of great scientific interest because it was the time when the government was forced to make adjustments to its religion policy. Methodologically based on a wide range of documentary sources, the authors of the article have identified the place and role of the Russian Orthodox Church in the foreign policy of the USSR during the approach. In this sense, it is felt that the role of the Russian Orthodox Church in building relations with the allies of the anti-Hitler coalition and its place in the expansion of the Soviet political system in Eastern Europe was of paramount importance as a foreign policy factor.

The internationalization of Colombian conflict with the setting up of Plan Colombia by Andrés Pastrana, then maintained by Álvaro Uribe, increased foreign policy fragmentation and confusion in the conduct of the country's foreign relations. Three arguments are analyzed: first, Plan Colombia intensified the presidential conduct of diplomatic relations and the fragmentation of foreign relations, and made the role of the Foreign Ministry weaker than before. Second, Plan Colombia made relations with USA more complex and diminished and to some extent worsened Colombia's relations with the European Union and most of its members. And finally, Plan Colombia stimulated the international participation of non-state actors, especially non-government organizations, who started to do a parallel diplomacy in Washington and in Brussels. The presidency of Andrés Pastrana and the first presidency of Álvaro Uribe will be examined within the geographic triangle of Colombia, the USA and Europe. ; La internacionalización del conflicto colombiano y la implementación del Plan Colombia, ambos sucesos instaurados por el gobierno del presidente Andrés Pastrana, y posteriormente, seguidos por la administración del presidente Álvaro Uribe incrementó el problema de la fragmentación de la política exterior y la confusión para conducir las relaciones exteriores del país. By putting emphasis on the period before and after the Angostura incident, which lead to the rupture of diplomatic relations, this article reviews the main factors that have been influencing the foreign relations of Ecuador and Colombia since the late 90s. In addition, the article explores the areas of common interests for Colombia and Ecuador that might have potential for deeping their cooperation. ; Este artículo pasa revista a los principales aspectos que han afectado a las relaciones entre Ecuador y Colombia desde fines de los años noventa, poniendo énfasis en la etapa previa y posterior al incidente de Angostura, que llevó al rompimiento de relaciones diplomáticas. Paralelamente, se analizan los principales temas de interés tanto de Colombia como de Ecuador, que deberían tomarse en cuenta al momento de definir una agenda de política exterior.

El artículo tiene como objetivo principal reconstruir y analizar, a través de fuentes documentales y periodísticas, los rasgos distintivos que adquirieron las relaciones económicas y políticas desarrolladas entre Italia y Cuba entre 1922 y 1941. Además de exponer los cambios y continuidades que se dieron durante el período, se intenta demostrar la importancia que tuvo Cuba para la agenda exterior italiana, además de que aporta conocimiento a la producción historiográfica acerca de las relaciones diplomáticas cubanas durante la época republicana. Asimismo, se presenta la importancia de la exigua comunidad de inmigrantes italianos en el desarrollo y consolidación de las relaciones entre ambos países, y el desempeño que tuvo la legación italiana en la implementación de un programa cultural que descansó en la exaltación de la latinidad como lazo cultural en la promoción del fascismo como corriente ideológica. ; The main objective of the article is to reconstruct and analyze, through documentary and journalistic sources, the distinctive features that acquired the economic and political relations developed between Italy and Cuba between 1922 and 1941. In addition to exposing the changes and continuities that occurred during this period, it is tried to demonstrate the importance that Cuba had for the Italian foreign agenda, in addition to providing knowledge to the historiographical production about cuban diplomatic relations during the republican era.
