The Trinity of the Processes of Formation of the New World Order
In: Contemporary Europe, Band 106, Heft 6, S. 190-200
ISSN: 0201-7083
Knowledge of the directions of reformating the modern unstable world order allows Russia to determine its role which it can play in this process and its new format. Therefore, the purpose of our research is to identify the main trends in the development of political, ideological, civilizational, geopolitical processes that affect the formation of a new configuration of the world in connection with the transformations dictated by the change of the technological order. For such a study, the method of complex analysis of these processes and the method of comparisons were used in relation to a new model of human existence, which is formed under the influence of the transition to a new technological order. As a result, the author comes to the conclusion that all these processes, both individually and in combination, inevitably lead to the revival of the model of the bipolar world, but in its modified form. However, what is happening with the change of the technological way of life pushes these problems into the background, while the dilemma – to be or not to be for humanity as a species ‒ comes to the forefront with threatening force. It is between these "to be" or "not to be" the main watershed will take place between East and West in their confrontation passes.

Destabilization of the old world order and the formation of a new world order: main trends and alternatives
In: Obščestvennye nauki i sovremennost': ONS, Heft 5, S. 7-18
A comparative analysis of alternative scenarios for the formation of a new world order is presented. It is shown that in the early 2020s the former "monocentric" ("unipolar") world order was destabilized. The main signs of the shifts taking place in it are socio-economic and political oppositions in Western and non-Western countries, the chaotic system of international relations, the increasing number and depth of regional conflicts, the creation of new international associations and coalitions. The forecast is made about the most probable variant of the change of the world order, which can come into being in the period of the 2020-2030s. An assumption has been made of the role of Russia in the changing world order.
The Role of the Ukrainian Crisis in Formation of the New World Order
In: Rossija i novye gosudarstva Evrazii: Russia and new States of Eurasia, Heft 4, S. 11-23
The situation in Ukraine is often interpreted by Western analysts as a conflict that changes the rules of the game in world politics. The article is dedicated to the analyzes of the Ukrainian crisis and stresses the point that Ukrainian conflict's assessments as "game-changer" are largely a consequence of the large-scale investment of political, military and financial resources by Western countries in Ukraine. Western politicians have made such serious bets in recent years (at least since 2014), exaggerating the conflict to the level of an existential conflict against the forces of "absolute evil" or confrontation between "democracy" and "authoritarianism", that they can no longer search for a compromise or, especially, just step aside. As a result, assessments of this kind take on the meaning of self-fulfilling prophecies. And Ukrainian civil war turned to a dangerous regional conflict, so according to this approach and Western states readiness to continue to invest resources in the confrontation with Russia in Ukraine, the duration of the "unipolar moment" in the system of international relations, as well as the parameters of the emerging new world order, really begin to depend on the outcome of the initially peripheral conflict (taking into account the interests of external actors and the parties involved).
Formation of high-order acoustic Bessel beams by spiral diffraction gratings
The formation of high-order Bessel beams by a passive acoustic device consisting of an Archimedes' spiral diffraction grating is theoretically, numerically, and experimentally reported in this paper. These beams are propagation-invariant solutions of the Helmholtz equation and are characterized by an azimuthal variation of the phase along its annular spectrum producing an acoustic vortex in the near field. In our system, the scattering of plane acoustic waves by the spiral grating leads to the formation of the acoustic vortex with zero pressure on axis and the angular phase dislocations characterized by the spiral geometry. The order of the generated Bessel beam and, as a consequence, the size of the generated vortex can be fixed by the number of arms in the spiral diffraction grating. The obtained results allow for obtaining Bessel beams with controllable vorticity by a passive device, which has potential applications in low-cost acoustic tweezers and acoustic radiation force devices. ; We acknowledge financial support from MINECO of the Spanish Government under Grants No. MTM2012-36740-C02-02, No. FIS2015-65998-C2-1-P, and No. FIS2015-65998-C2-2-P.
