The aim of this study was to highlight the key finding of corporate political connections research. This study used 61 previous studies related to corporate political connections to develop a structured literature review. It was found that most studies were conducted in developing countries as they provided a unique institutional setting for conduct political connections research. In addition, a political connection is used as independent variables and the previous studies focuses on three related topics, which are corporate performance, corporate action, and loan and special rights. Literature review study become more important nowadays, as the number of empirical quantitative research amount has been increased lately. This analysis also has research and practical implementation for researcher, practitioners, and regulators.

Come to School Movement became one of the steps taken by Bojonegoro District to handle problems of education. One of the problems in the education sector is dropout rates have remained high. This movement as an attempt to address these problem as well as increasing school participation. Management education become important to discussed because there are still many the assumption that governance not good enough. Governance less well it will affected a lot of sectors, one of them is education. Manajement education less well it would provoke gap between the objectives to the achieved by the fact that accourred in field. The purpose of this study is aims to look at Come to School Movement in Bojonegoro District seen from the perspective of good governance and sound governance. The type of research used in this study is a type of descriptive research with qualitative approaches. The selection of informants using purposive sampling and snowball sampling. Data collection is carried out by means of interviews, observation, documentation, and a written document. Data analysis using data reduction techniques, presentation of data, and verification or withdrawal of the conclusion. The result of the research shows that the management in Come to School Movement when seen from perspective of good governance still needs to be improved in the principle of the rule of law, transparency, effectiveness and efficiency. Whereas if viewed from the perspective of sound governance still needs to be improved in dimension of the cognition and value and also constitution.
Democracy in Indonesia have exams with the emergence of the phenomenon of political dynasty. In the era of globalization, regions is required to increase their capacity to meet the needs of the society. Unfortunately not all regions have advantages in their efforts to fulfill the welfare of its people. There are regions that do not have a significant level of income so the economic growth relatively slow. This situation need to be overcome by the local government by implementing specific strategies that are expected to be an alternative to increase the regional income. One of the strategy that can be taken by the local government is to carry out some cooperation with another actors from outside the country. The cooperation is expected to bring investment which can bring positive results for regional development, including the welfare of the people. However, before carrying out foreign cooperation, the local government must be able to form a regional branding which is expected to be a unique value for foreign parties to work together. In this article we try to provide input for the local government of Kabupaten Serang to form a special branding for the region. Through this research, we hope to help Kabupaten Serang to design strategic foreign cooperation and by the end produce many benefits for the society
This study aims to analyze the effect of General Allocation Funds, Labor and Government Expenditures on Economic Growth in East Kotawaringin Regency. The research method used in this research is a descriptive-quantitative research approach. The analytical tool used in his study is multiple linear regression with the t test, F test, and the coefficient of determination test. The results of this study indicate that partially the variables of the General Allocation Fund and Government Expenditures have a significant effect on Economic Growth in East Kotawaringin Regency. While the Labor variable does not have a significant effect on Economic Growth in East Kotawaringin Regency. Simultaneously, the variables of the General Allocation Fund, Labor, and Government Expenditures together have an effect on the Economic Growth variable. The implications of this research include, among others, to encourage the economy of East Kotawaringin Regency, the general allocation fund should be increased for the advancement and improvement of economic growth as well as improving the quality of the Laborforce in the East Kotawaringin area.Keywords: Economic Growth; General Allocation Fund; Government Expenditure; Labor
This research is motivated by the formation of the Democratic Volunteer Program by the Election Commission in increasing voter participation in legislative elections in 2014 in the city of Padang. Volunteers Democracy is a social movement intended to increase voter participation and the quality of the voters in the voting. Volunteers Democracy consists of 5 groups of voters strategic group of voters, religious groups, women's groups, disability groups, Group Fringe. Volunteers Democracy referred to in this research is the existence of volunteers of democracy amongst the people which includes knowledge about the role of volunteers democracy, Impact Volunteer of the volunteers of democracy, as well as the constraints faced by volunteers of democracy in increasing voter participation in legislative elections in 2014 in the city of Padang. Research type is descriptive. The instruments used are interviews and documentation. The results showed, the existence of Democracy Volunteer to assist the Commission in order to regrow positive awareness of the importance of the elections in the life of the nation in order to decrease the level of abstentions. From these results it can be concluded, the volunteer role of democracy in increasing voter participation in legislative elections in 2014 in the city of Padang is to regrow public awareness of the importance of the elections in the life of nation and state in order to decrease the level of abstentions.Keywords: role, volunteering democracy, voter participation, pileg.
United Nations as international organization issued an international convention to eliminate discrimination towards women, called CEDAW (Convention on Elimination of All Form of Discrimination Against Women). As the one of the nation that ratified the convention, Indonesia, adopted CEDAW articles that becomes UU RI No. 7 Tahun 1984. Indonesia agreed to prevent further discrimination towards women and implement all the policies written on those article. Unfortunately, the success and implementation of CEDAW is still doubtful, especially in political realm. The number of women political participation never reached 30% according to the affirmative action that is stated in Indonesian Constitution. The 2009 and 2014 general election showed that women's representation in parliament in still low and not having significant change. The success of CEDAW can be seen from women's political participation, measured by international indicator called GEM (Gender Empowerment Measure). GEM is used to measure shift and effectiveness of the implementation of CEDAW Convention in Indonesia, especially in political participation. This article concluded that CEDAW International Convention in political participation is not effective yet, considering the number of women in parliament not balanced with ratio of women citizen in Indonesia.
This study aims to evaluate the implementation of internal quality assurance at the Pacific Morotai University and provide detailed findings regarding the obstacles faced by the Quality Assurance Institute (LPM) of the Pacific Morotai University, North Maluku. The approach used in this study is a qualitative approach with a case study method at the Pacific University of Morotai, North Maluku. Data were collected based on document tracing, observation, and interviews. The results of the study show that the implementation of internal quality assurance at the University of Pacific Morotai faces obstacles in the lack of auditors who have an understanding and number of human resources in carrying out monitoring and evaluation tasks. The technical implementing unit formed by LPM in carrying out its duties only consists of six people spread across six faculties with details of one person for each faculty. The impact is due to the lack of auditors who are experts in quality assurance, so it affects external quality assurance or accreditation. In fact, the university does not yet have an institutional accreditation status and eleven study programs have the same accreditation rating, namely C. Thus, the implementation of quality assurance is not carried out optimally and properly monitored as a result it is difficult to measure the achievement of the university's quality in setting higher education standards

The General Elections Commission (KPU) is a state institution that conducts general elections in Indonesia, which includes general election of members of DPR / DPD / DPRD, presidential election of vice president, and general election of Regional Head and Deputy Regional Head. In increasing this participation, it is necessary to encourage the various parties to increase the political participation of the community in the implementation of the General Elections either from the Regional Government, Self or KPU as the Institution that performs the task of conducting the General Elections. This type of research is qualitative with descriptive approach. The sample in this research is the Chairman of KPU and KPU members 1 person, 2 persons pawaslu 2, village apparatus, people and society who have been included in the permanent voter list (DPT) 40 people. In this research, the researcher uses data collecting technique such as: Questionnaire, Interview, and Documentation. The results of this research, According to data sources from the Election Commission of Agam Regency, the number of permanent voters in Agam 2015 Election is 48,325 people. That the number of legislative elections the participation rate of the public as much as 67.24%. Furthermore, the role of the General Elections Commission in increasing the political participation of the people in Agam Regency only put banners on the highway, the results of which found that the implementation of the election must be far from Money politics. In line with the findings discussed above, The Election Commission in Agam Regency has performed its duty as the organizer of the General Election, especially in the Regional Head Election of 2015. This can be seen from the Regional Head Election of 2015 has resulted in one pair of Regional Head and Deputy Head of Region. Recruitment of regional head candidates is part of the political process in the internal party in dealing with the General Election. Candidate selection is a "secret garden" for each party, besides the selection process is sometimes easily influenced by other forces outside political parties. Likewise, what happened in the selection process of candidates for regional head candidates in the DPD PKS at the Regional Election in Tasikmalaya City in 2017. This study was to answer the research question "What is the selection method in political recruitment of regional head candidates by the Prosperous Justice Party at the Regional Election in Tasikmalaya City 2017, What factors influence changes in the decision making of prospective regional heads by PKS ". This study aims to describe, analyze the selection of candidates, and explain the factors that influence the decision making of prospective regional head candidates from PKS. The results of this study explain the selection of PKS determined by party elites. At the local level the selection looks democratic while at the level of the DPW and DPP is strongly influenced by the party elite with a closed selection model. in general the candidate selection process at PKS shows non-democratic degrees.

The quantitative approach was used to gather a consensus of respondents that will give insight to the population's condition. By using Both DeLone & McLean and UTAUT2 model, it was found that the factors that influence MOBA popularity are Information Quality, Service Quality, Habit, Hedonic Motivation and Social Motivation. These findings show that MOBA usage are still very much influenced by social factor rather than mechanic aspect of video game. But behind the above advantages, there are some disadvantages, such as excessive aspiration can lead to disintegration, which causes conflict of interests is growing, particularly conflict of using the natural resource. Water use disputes of the Udanuwuh village and the Dlingo village is an example of conflict of using water resources not only between people in two villages, but involves two regencies, namely Boyolali Regency and Semarang Regency. This study shows that the solution of the conflict depends on the role of mediator, the pattern of negotiation, legal certainty, and coordinative functions of governments.
The background of this article is the existence of a global pandemic COVID-19 which has an impact in various fields. This article seeks to explore the impact of the COVID-19 global pandemic on information and communications technology (ICT) in the form of digital diplomacy. Exploration is carried out by investigating the case of Indonesian diplomacy at the United Nations (UN) in March, April, and May 2020. The main concept in this article is digital diplomacy. This concept illustrates the use of ICT as a means of diplomacy for state actors and changes at the policy and institutional levels. This article found various digital diplomacy activities from the Permanent Mission of the Republic of Indonesia to the United Nations in New York, United States during the global pandemic COVID-19. These activities include: 1) coordination with Indonesia's Embassy and Consulate General in the United States to protect Indonesian citizens; 2) participation in UN Security Council virtual meeting to discuss international peace and security issues; and 3) participation in other UN bodies virtual meetings to discuss international development issues. This article argues that the impact of the COVID-19 global pandemic in the field of ICT is reflected in Indonesia's digital diplomacy at the United Nations. The global pandemic COVID-19 changed the means and tools used by Indonesian diplomats to gather information, negotiations, and responses on international issues. Even so, Indonesian diplomacy at the UN continues to run optimally.
