Ulster liberalism, 1778 - 1876: the middle path
Beginning with the roots of the political tradition among members of the volunteer movement trying to adapt British constitutional ideals to their particular circumstances, this study examines the efforts of Ulster liberals to create institutions responsive to public opinion
