The article surveys elements of the Kingdom of England's relations with the Hanseatic League, the Dutch Republic and Scotland throughoutcertainperiods of history. There isa particular focus on legal measures and regulationsadoptedbyEngland withregardstothe traders of theHanseaticLeaguein the 14th and 15th centuries and Dutch traders in the 17th century. In relationto Scotland, there is an overview of how restrictions enacted by England helped to contribute in part to theUnion of1707, andofsomeconsequences which followed on from thisimportant historical development. The study can be said to be of interest in terms of certain developments taking place in Europe at the present time. ; A tanulmány évszázados áttekintést nyújt az Egyesült Királyság kereskedelmi kapcsolatait illetően a Hanza Szövetséggel, Hollandiával és részben Skóciával. A munka középpontjában azok a törvényi rendelkezések állnak – ideértve a monopóliumokat is –, amelyek alapvetően meghatározták az angol kapcsolatokat a 14–15. században a Hanza Szövetséggel, illetve a 17. században Hollandiával. Skócia kapcsán az 1707-ben kötött Unió vonatkozásában (Acts of Union) a kereskedelmi kapcsolatok történeti perspektívából való elemzésére törekszik a tanulmány, bízva abban, hogy az angol kereskedelmi kapcsolatok történelmi távlatból való elemzése napjainkban is hasznos lehet. Az utóbbi időszakban megfigyelhető, hogy a támogatási költségek csökkentése érdekében, valamint az uniós követelményeknek megfelelően egyre több tagállam pályázati úton, tender formájában ítéli oda a működési támogatásokat (prémiumokat). Ennek megfelelően a huszonhét uniós tagállam és a kilépő Egyesült Királyság közül már húsz alkalmaz ilyen típusú tenderrendszereket. A jelen tanulmány célja, hogy hat kiemelt ország (Dánia, az Egyesült Királyság, Görögország, Hollandia, Lengyelország és Németország) esetében részletesebben is megvizsgálja a megújuló tenderrendszerek működését, valamint értékelje azok eredményeit. A hazai megújuló támogatási rendszer (METÁR) rövid ismertetése és az első eredmények értékelése után arra keressük a választ, hogy a bemutatott európai példák milyen tanulságokkal szolgálhatnak a hazai tenderek esetleges továbbfejlesztése során.

In a 5-yr (1979-84) study of 6 species of fruit pigeon in lowland (dry) and upland (wet) subtropical rain forests in the Jimna and Conondale Ranges, the effects of forest phenology on pigeon abundance were investigated. The pigeons utilized 89 species of plants from 39 families of trees, palms and vines. The seasonal availability of fruit was similar in each forest type: most plant species bore crops during the wet season (Dec.-Mar.) and held crops into the early dry season (April-May); the late dry season (June-Oct.) was a time of general fruit shortage. More than 60% of the species of food plants present in upland forest were rare or absent in lowland forest. In general, each species of pigeon utilized a distinct suite of plant species in each forest type. Certain species of fig (Ficus spp.) fruited asynchronously and were the most important food for sedentary wompoo fruit-doves (Ptilinopus magnificus magnificus) in both forest types. These and other species of fig were the most important food for topknot pigeons (Lopholaimus antarcticus) and rose-crowned fruit-doves (P. regina regina) in lowland forest. An influx of flocks of up to 200 topknot pigeons into upland forest occurred each year in response to the fruiting of Archontophoenix cunninghamiana. The foraging habits of rose-crowned fruit-doves were largely opportunistic in upland forest, utilizing whatever fruit was available at particular times. White-headed pigeons (Columba leucomela) foraged solely in Olea paniculata during irregular visits to lowland forest. A regular summer influx into upland forest occurred in response to the fruiting of a vine, Piper novae-hollandiae. In each forest type, brown cuckoo-doves (Macropygia amboinensis) had a distinct foraging preference for plant species characteristic of disturbed forests; important plant families were the Solanaceae, Ulmaceae, Euphorbiaceae and Araliaceae. Superb fruit-doves (P. superbus) were seldom found in either forest type.
The worldââ'¬â"¢s largest rabbit meat producer (460.000 tons in 2004) and exporter (6.397 tons) is China but their import is negligible. Italy is Europeansââ'¬â"¢s leading producer (second of the world: 222.000 tons). Italyââ'¬â"¢s rabbit meat import was the largest worldwide between 1990 and 1994 but in 2004 it was at the 4th position (2.320 tons). With its decreasing import the export is increasing and it reached 6.231 tons in 2003. Spain is at the second position in the European production (100.610 tons in 2004). With the increasing production it is among the top five countries in export (4.629 tons in 2004) but its import is small (441 tons in 2004). The largest importer country is Germany (7.589; 4.958 and 4.487 tons in 2002, 2003 and 2004, respectively). Its production was between 33.000 and 34.000 tons (between 1990 and 2004) but the export was small. The Netherlands is among the five countries that are exporting the largest amount of rabbit meat. They owned the first position (8.940 tons in 1998; 11.187 tons in 2001) then the second position (3.574 tons in 2004) after China. Hungary is at the 10th position in rabbit production (7.500 tons in 2004) and the country is among the leading exporters having the second-third place of the world (5.391 tons in 2004) but the country has no import at all. Spanyolország Európában a második legnagyobb termelő (2004-ben 100.610 tonna).
