La costruzione dell'identità culturale come problema centrale in contesti geografici periferici, vista dalla prospettiva che emerge dalla zona d'incrocio tra musica e produzione cinematografica nella regione del Río de la Plata, delimitata dalle due città capitali dell'Argentina e l'Uruguay. Verranno analizzate tre situazioni particolari: l'inserzione del tango nel cinema, in quanto elemento locale fortemente identitario, focalizzata sulla produzione di uno dei più noti compositori argentini del XX secolo, Astor Piazzolla, artefice del rinnovamento linguistico del tango e autore di numerose colonne sonore. A partire dal contesto culturale nel quale si inserisce la sua biografia musicale, si analizzeranno due film emblematici nella storia dell'Argentina, realizzati nell'importante momento storico della transizione dall'ultima dittatura all'attuale democrazia: Tangos­El exilio de Gardel e Sur (Fernando Solanas, 1985, 1988). L'arrivo del rock come genere musicale straniero nel contesto del Rio de la Plata negli anni Sessanta, le trasformazioni culturali che esso comportò viste attraverso la sua presenza cinematografica e la nascita del "giovanile" in quanto nuovo soggetto, centrale nello sviluppo della cultura di massa alle origini della globalizzazione. Il rapporto locale/globale nella costruzione di un "Rock Nacional" con caratteristiche identitarie proprie, in bilico tra produzione artistica e industria culturale. Si analizzeranno due film rappresentativi di questa svolta, che rendono conto di vari elementi chiave in questo processo: Nacidos para cantar (Emilio Gomez Muriel, 1965), El extraño de pelo largo (Julio Porter, 1969). L'interazione tra musica e cinema nel contesto della cinematografia nazionale nell'Uruguay (dallo sviluppo relativamente tardivo), le sue caratteristiche particolari e la sua funzione culturale nell'ambito di un paese condizionato dalle sue piccole dimensioni, peculiarità identitarie e limitazioni economiche, che nonostante questo configurano un particolare profilo culturale che incide sul contesto rioplatense e latinoamericano. A tal proposito, verrà analizzato un film di genere documentario incentrato sulla canzone d'autore uruguaiana: Hit (Claudia Abend, Adriana Loeff, 2009). ; Cultural identity as a central problem in peripheral geographic contexts, from the perspective that emerges at the intersection of music and film production in the Río de la Plata region, bounded by the two capital cities of Argentina and Uruguay. Three specific situations will be considered: the usage of tango in cinema, as a strongly identifying local element, focusing on the production of Argentinian musician Astor Piazzolla, author of the linguistic renewal of tango, and composer of numerous soundtracks. Starting from the cultural context in which his musical biography is inserted, two emblematic films will be analyzed, regarding the historical transition from the last dictatorship to the current democracy in Argentina: Tangos­El exilio de Gardel and Sur (Fernando Solanas, 1985, 1988). The arrival of rock as a foreign musical genre in the context of Rio de la Plata in the sixties, the cultural transformations that it involved seen through its cinematographic presence, and the birth of "the young" as a new subject, central in the development of mass culture in the origins of globalization. The local/global relationship in the construction of a "Rock Nacional" with its own identity characteristics, poised between artistic production and cultural industry. We will analyze two films representative of this shifting point, which account for several key elements in this process: Nacidos para cantar (Emilio Gomez Muriel, 1965), El extraño de pelo largo (Julio Porter, 1969). The interaction between music and cinema in the context of national cinematography in Uruguay, its particular characteristics and its cultural function within a country conditioned by its small size, identity peculiarities and economic limitations which, despite this, form a particular cultural profile that affects the rioplatense and Latinamerican contexts. In this regard, a documentary film based on Uruguay's author song will be analyzed: Hit (Claudia Abend, Adriana Loeff, 2009).

La testualità francescana di area catalano-aragonese è una fonte importante del discorso politico e della costruzione delle identità comunitarie. Tra gli aspetti più significativi emerge il discorso sul valore e la funzione della moneta. Sin da Arnau de Vilanova la moneta esprime, e veicola, la forza e l'identità di una comunità politica. Attraverso di essa si viene a definire il ruolo degli attori economici, civili e politici agenti negli spazi comunitari. Si mette anche in discussione un assunto storiografico secondo cui «la costellazione dei concetti della modernità politica irrompe dalla denegazione di ciò che l'aveva preceduta». Se questa argomentazione sostiene che il lemma e la nozione di «contratto», definitosi da Hobbes, è il «luogo genetico» della modernità, resta irrintracciabile la cesura con il "non moderno". Nel rapporto che connette fides, moneta e identità nei testi medievali francescani che progettano comunità di cives-fideles lo spazio comunitario diviene infatti arena pubblica e legale, istituzionalizzandosi. E nello spazio del mercato, costitutivo di quello comunitario, convergono volontà diverse che contrattano ambiti e limiti di sovranità economiche e finanziarie, ma altrettanto consapevolmente politiche. ; The Franciscan textuality of Catalan-Aragonese area is an important source of the political discourse and of the construction of community identities. Among the most significant aspects emerge the discourse about the value and function of money. Since Arnau de Vilanova the currency expresses and conveys the strength and identity of a political community: through it is to define the role of economic, civil and political agents in community areas. It also puts into question an historiographical assumption: «the constellation of concepts of political modernity erupts from the denial of what had preceded itì». If this argument asserts that the lemma and the concept of «contract», defined since Hobbes, is "the genetic location" of modernity, remains untraceable the break with the "not modern ". In the relationship that connects fides, money and identity in medieval Franciscan texts that design communities of cives-fideles, the community space becomes public and legal arena, institutionalized. And in the space of the market, constituitive of the space of the community, different wills converge negotiating areas and limits of economic and financial sovereignties, but equally conscious political ones.

Today's society imposes, today more than ever, for its complexity a pedagogicalreflection but also a specific action on the theme of job training. Thepedagogical perspectives in this sense are manifold and complex and intertwinewith not only social, but above all political and scholastic implications.Along these lines, over the last twenty years, particular attention has beenpaid to the analysis of the practices of "experts" and to the action of theworker (teachers, trainers, researchers, sectoral operators, etc.) in order torealize a practice reflective of one's professional action. To do this it becomesessential to capitalize on the biograficity of the worker as the possibilityof the subject to recognize and reconstruct his professional history.Starting from these considerations, what future emerges for the trainingand for the construction of the professional identity of the expert in action?The essay aims to answer these questions. ; La società attuale impone, oggi più che mai, per la sua complessità una riflessione pedagogica ma anche un agire specifico circa il tema della formazioneal lavoro. Le prospettive pedagogiche in tal senso sono molteplicie complesse e s'intrecciano con implicazioni non solo sociali, ma soprattuttopolitiche e scolastiche.Lungo questa direzione, nell'ultimo ventennio, si è potuta notare una particolareattenzione all'analisi delle pratiche degli "esperti" e all'azione del lavoratore(insegnanti, formatori, ricercatori, operatori settoriali, etc.) al finedi realizzare un pratica riflessiva del proprio agire professionale. Per farquesto diviene indispensabile capitalizzare la biograficità del lavoratorecome possibilità del soggetto di riconoscere e ricostruire la sua storia professionale.A partire da queste considerazioni, quale futuro emerge per laformazione e per la costruzione dell'identità professionale dell'esperto inazione? Il saggio si propone di rispondere a questi interrogativi.

The article considers the literary production of Dante Alighieri – and, in parallel, of his "first friend" Guido Cavalcanti – between the composition of the Vita nuova and Dante's exile. It aims to show that the conflict between Dante and Cavalcanti can also be situated on the level of the representation that the two poets give of themselves in their work, through their chosen poetics and literary genres. Despite having the reputation of a philosophus, the magnate Guido shows his aristocratic disdain even in literary options: he depicts himself as a knight-poet and focuses solely on the representation and analysis of the phenomenology of love. On the contrary, from the Vita nuova on, Dante does not present himself to his audience as only an exquisite and aristocratic love poet, but also – and explicitly – as an expert in physiology, philosophy, and rhetoric. On the model of Guittone d'Arezzo and Brunetto Latini, when he enters Florentine political life, he attributes a civic and ethical function to his poetry, which definitively breaks with the "stilnovistic" poetics of his juvenile association with Cavalcanti. ; Il contributo prende in considerazione la produzione letteraria di Dante Alighieri – e, in parallelo, del suo «primo amico» Guido Cavalcanti – compresa all'incirca tra la composizione della Vita nuova e l'esilio. Esso intende mostrare come il dissidio tra Dante e Cavalcanti si situi anche al livello della rappresentazione che i due poeti danno di se stessi nella loro opera, attraverso scelte di poetica e di genere letterario. Pur avendo fama di philosophus, il magnate Guido si mostra uno sdegnoso aristocratico anche nelle opzioni letterarie: non disdegna di ritrarsi come cavaliere-poeta e si concentra sulla sola rappresentazione e analisi della fenomenologia amorosa. Dante, al contrario, già a partire dalla Vita nuovanon si presenta al proprio pubblico solo come squisito e aristocratico poeta d'amore, ma anche – in modo esplicito – come esperto di fisiologia, filosofia e retorica. Sul modello di Guittone e di Brunetto, in concomitanza con l'entrata nella vita politica fiorentina egli attribuisce alla propria poesia una funzione civile ed etica, che rompe definitivamente con la poetica "stilnovista" del sodalizio giovanile con Cavalcanti.

15,778,590 Italians emigrated at the end of the nineteenth century and during the first decades of the 1900s, during the historical period in which the process of "constructing" the nation became more intense and decisive. In a climate of heated political and social debate about the issues surrounding emigration, various educational initiatives which intercepted Italian emigrants before their expatriation became widespread, with the aim of im-proving their literacy and promoting cultural and social activities. Using a broad range of archival documentation, this essay aims to investigate the process of constructing national identity and sentiment in post-unification Italy, trying to bring out the implications of this process with respect to the emancipatory dimension of education for citizenship. ; Fra gli ultimi decenni dell'Ottocento e i primi del Novecento, ossia nel periodo storico in cui il processo di "costruzione" della nazione si fa più intenso e decisivo, 15.778.590 italiane e italiani emigrano all'estero; in un clima di acceso dibattito politico e sociale sui temi dell'emigrazione, si diffondono diverse iniziative educative rivolte agli emigranti italiani intercettati prima del loro espatrio e finalizzate a favorirne l'alfabetizzazione e la promozione culturale e sociale. Sulla scorta di una significativa documentazione il presente saggio intende contribuire, ed è quanto ci auguriamo, a fornire ulteriori elementi conoscitivi sull'evoluzione del processo di costruzione dell'identità nazionale e del sentimento nazionale nell'Italia postunitaria cercando di far emergere le implicazioni di tale processo rispetto alla dimensione emancipativa dell'educazione alla cittadinanza.

This volume aims to foster the dialogue between two usually distinct scholarly traditions: on the one hand, the studies revolving around cultural and political activity, as well as the didactic, theological, religious and pastoral initiatives undertaken by the Dominican Order in the urban context; on the other hand, the scholarship on the history of Florence between the thirteenth and fourteenth centuries, seen as a case study representative of the evolutions of late medieval communal institutions in the Italian peninsula. The essays focus on the reciprocal interactions and influences between religious and political cultures, along with those between mendicant and lay contexts.

La cartografia, adottata storicamente nel processo di fissazione delle frontiere, oltre a legittimarne il ruolo politico, ha funzionato quale strumento privilegiato di comunicazione occidentale veicolante una certa visione del mondo. Quest'ultima, anch'essa di stampo occidentale, ha escluso la visione delle popolazioni che abitavano i luoghi cartografati, la quale è stata viceversa annullata o investita di attribuzioni indebite. In questa prospettiva, adottando le nuove teorie semiotiche, si tenta di mostrare come la carta sia un vero e proprio operatore simbolico, in grado di imporre una precisa e definita idea di frontiera. Allo stesso tempo, viene evidenziato il ruolo giocato dal confine nel far emergere nuove consapevolezze di appartenenza identitaria da parte delle popolazioni africane. Ciò è stato esemplificato Seguendo le rappresentazioni cartografiche della frontiera tra Ghana e Togo. ; Boundary cartography – historically used within the process of boundaries fixation - in addition to legitimating their political role, has functioned as privileged tool of Occidental communication, transmitting a precise idea of the world. This latter, which is also inspired by an Occidental logic, has excluded African reality to which Western values are illegitimately superimposed. in this perspective, according to some new semiotic theories, we try to demonstrate that the map is a real symbolic operator able to communicate a precise and definite idea of boundary. Meanwhile, it is underlined the role played by the frontier in the emerging of new awareness of share identities among African populations. In this regard, the essay considers the example of the boundary between Ghana and Togo

Considerando el carácter cada vez más multicultural de nuestras sociedades, las parejas mixtas son una de los más relevantes indicadores de la integración de los inmigrantes en los países de destino, al tiempo que representan escenarios de encuentro y desencuentro de diferencias de toda índole (cultural, étnica, lingüística, religiosa, política, de clase, de ingresos, de nivel cultural, etc.). En este contexto se sitúa el presente artículo en el cual se estudia esta dinámica a partir de los discursos de parejas mixtas en Italia. ; Considering the increasingly multicultural character of our societies, the mixed unions are one of the more significant guides of integration of the immigrant community in the host countries. At the same time, we can observe different encounters and disencounters (cultural, ethnic, linguistics, religious, politics, of class, of income, of cultural level, etc.). In this context, the present paper analyzes these aspects across mixed couples in Italy.

Since the start of the European integration, many theoretical and empirical approaches have focused on the intricate relationship between the European political project and the social and cultural changes within European borders. I begin recalling the academic debate on European identity and analyzing how the main theoretical perspectives deal with the study of the social dimension of Europe and the European identity construction process: Neofuntionalism, Institutionalism and Constructivism. I then delve into the sociological definition of identity explaining the concepts found in the scientific literature and the sociological contribution to the debate. The essay analyzes the elaboration of the concepts of "identity", "homeland" and "language" in Strauß. Although not systematically developed, it is possible to trace a file rouge referring to Romanticism and German conservatism. The analysis of the three titles indicated shows how the argumentation tends to move from the political/social level to the literary and aesthetic one, converging on typically Straußian issues such as "tradition" and "memory". ; Il saggio analizza l'elaborazione dei concetti di "identità", "patria" e "lingua" in Strauß. Seppure non sviluppati sistematicamente, è possibile seguire un filo rosso che si richiama al romanticismo e al conservatorismo tedesco. L'analisi dei tre titoli indicati dimostra come l'argomentazione tenda a spostarsi dal piano politico/sociale a quello letterario e estetico, confluendo su questioni tipicamente straußiane quali "tradizione" e "memoria".

A memory, product of experiences and testimony to the sense of the things done and transmitted, it's able of becoming a reminder. An act of conscience by which we reconstruct a certain portion of our past. L'obiettivo del presente elaborato è proporre uno studio critico della poesia contemporanea saharawi in spagnolo (dal 1972 a oggi), elaborando un modello di analisi trasversale di un corpus di testi che insiste sull'osmosi tra l'esperienza autobiografica del poeta e l'esperienza collettiva – all'origine della nascita della coscienza identitaria – dell'intero popolo saharawi. Per raggiungere questo obiettivo, si sono posti i seguenti obiettivi specifici: (1) contestualizzare il fenomeno definendone le dinamiche storico-politiche, antropologiche e culturali; (2) stabilire le basi teoriche della proposta di modello di analisi della produzione poetica contemporanea saharawi in spagnolo; (3) applicare il suddetto modello di analisi a una selezione di testi rappresentativi, selezionati da volumi monografici e antologici. L'elaborato combina quindi uno studio descrittivo-concettuale con uno di taglio empirico-sperimentale, approfondendo, in un primo momento, le dinamiche storico-antropologiche, politiche, linguistico-culturali che definiscono l'identità saharawi per poi, a seguire, articolare la proposta di modello di analisi del corpus. Tale modello, combinando gli studi di Analisi Critica del Discorso e di linguistica pragmatica ed avvalendosi trasversalmente degli strumenti di analisi informatizzata del corpus, mira a far leva sulle manifestazioni discorsive della natura polifonica dell'io poetico saharawi e sul tentativo di riscrittura di una biografia collettiva ─ o multi-biografia ─ che si colloca al margine tra autobiografia e autofinzione. Il complesso macro-concetto di identità è quindi declinato su più approcci e discipline. Nel caso specifico del popolo saharawi comporta una riflessione ancor più complessa, ascrivibile alle tappe e agli spazi della colonizzazione, dell'occupazione, dell'esilio algerino e della diaspora e a tre accezioni: l'identità nazionale, politica e l'identità linguistico-culturale. In tal senso, la poesia contemporanea saharawi in spagnolo si fa portavoce delle istanze dell'intero popolo saharawi rivendicandone l'identità nazionale e fungendo da ponte tra le aspirazioni del singolo e le aspirazioni comunitarie, assurgendo a strumento di auto-riconoscimento e resistenza intima e sociale. ; The goal of this dissertation is to propose a critical study of contemporary Sahrawi poetry in Spanish (from 1972) by elaborating a corpus-based analytical model which insists on the osmosis between the poet's autobiographical and the collective experiences of the Sahrawi people, the latter being considered as the basis of identitarian consciousness. To achieve this main goal, the following specific objectives have been accomplished: (1) the contextualization of the phenomenon by defining its historical-political, anthropological and cultural dynamics; (2) the definition of the theoretical bases of the corpus-based analytical model; (3) the application of the analytical model to a selection of representative texts from monographs and anthologies. Thus, the present dissertation combines a descriptive conceptual approach with an empirical experimental focus: first, by deepening the historical, anthropological, political, linguistic and cultural dynamics that define the Sahrawi identity, second by developing the corpus-based analytical model. The latter aims to trace the discursive manifestations of the polyphonic nature of the poetic I in its attempt to rewrite a collective biography (multi-biography) that switches between autobiography and autofiction. This is done mainly by integrating the Critical Discourse Analysis with the pragmalinguistic approach and by using some corpus linguistics tools. The complex macro-concept of identity has therefore been implemented in several approaches and disciplines. In the specific case of the Sahrawi people identity entails an even more complex reflection on the stages and spaces of the colonization, the occupation, the Algerian exile and the diaspora. Moreover, within this context, identity also comprehends three different meanings: the national identity, the political identity and the cultural identity. In this sense, Sahrawi's contemporary poetry in Spanish becomes the mouthpiece of the Sahrawi people, claiming their national identity as a bridge between intimate and communitarian aspirations, ultimately providing a tool for both intimate and communitarian self-recognition and resistance.

Il tema di questa tesi è il riconoscimento. La scelta deriva dalla precedente esperienza sul campo con i migranti, che ha messo in luce come l'approccio razionalistico corrente sia insufficiente a soddisfare le esigenze che essi manifestano. Si tratta di un approccio rivolto a persone per cui non è prevista una collocazione "intima" nel contesto d'accoglienza. Pone perciò il problema dell'appartenenza, che richiederebbe altri registri, accantonati però nella cultura occidentale sin dall'avvento della modernità. Il lavoro inizia con la disamina dei concetti sociologici fondamentali per l'argomento e con l'approfondimento delle questioni che ne emergono, come la comunicazione e l'importanza del linguaggio nella costruzione di soggetti e tematiche. Pone poi i temi centrali attraverso lo studio delle interviste e dei focus group da me realizzati e si interroga sul da fare. Ne emerge una posizione che invoca un cambio di registro, che viene proposto in una prospettiva di mediazione con quanto elaborato finora dagli appartenenti al canone moderno. È un approccio che richiede un paradigma inclusivo e un pensiero complesso e attui un riequilibrio delle posizioni che porti all'attribuzione di pari dignità ai registri che sono rimasti ai margini della riflessione. Il problema dei migranti è un indicatore di una crisi interna agli stati di destinazione: le stesse comunità d'accoglienza stanno perdendo unità e coesione e da ciò deriva l'incapacità ad accogliere. Tutto questo si inserisce in un quadro di grande complessità, dove la crisi dello stato-nazione innesca dinamiche opposte che spingono al localismo da una parte, al superamento delle vecchie configurazioni dall'altra, verso organismi sovranazionali. Il problema del riconoscimento è lo specchio di noi: obbliga a confrontarsi con l'ideale della cittadinanza globale e con le possibili forme della sua attuabilità e a elaborare nuove politiche che recuperino il livello etico-normativo e la capacità di un dialogo tra i livelli locale-nazionale-internazionale. ; This work is about recognition. It is a choice that comes from my previous field experience with migrants, that made me understand that the current, rationalistic approach is not enough to satisfy their complex exigencies. It is aimed at people who are not to "intimately" belong to their destination context. It brings to the fore the problem of belonging, whose solution would require the acknowledgement of human dimensions that Western culture has put aside since the advent of Modernity. The thesis starts with the exam of essential sociological concepts and goes on to discuss the main questions that arise from it, such as communication and the importance of language in framing subjects and discourses. Its crucial themes are then developed through the study of interviews and focus groups I collected. Possible solutions are the next issue: I contend that a paradigmatic change is needed, so as to mediate between what modernity has already done and a complex thought that should bring about equal dignity for the different perspectives from which coexistence can be viewed. The issue with migrants is better understood as the indicator of a crisis in the destination countries, where the existing communities are losing unity and cohesion and are therefore not up to welcoming others. All this is part of a bigger picture, where the crisis of the Nation state triggers divergent dynamics that push on the one hand towards localism, on the other towards new configurations where supranational organizations come into play. The problem of recognition forces us to face the ideal of global citizenship and the thinkable ways of its realization. Moreover it urges us to develop new politics that focus on the relation between ethics and regulation and on the importance of a dialogue among the local, national and international levels.
