Terörizm, on yıllardır çeşitli tanımları yapılmasına rağmen devlet politikaları ve çıkar çevrelerince aynı durumun farklı zamanlarda farklı şekillerde tasvir edilmesinden dolayı net kabul görmüş bir tanıma sahip olamamıştır. Bütün devletler için tarih boyunca tehdit oluşturmuş bir kavram iken, tehdidin büyüklüğü ve önemi dünya coğrafyasınca ancak 11 Eylül saldırıları sonrasında anlaşılmıştır. Türkiye, teröre karşı mücadele eden ve bu konuda en çok acı çeken ülkelerin başında gelmektedir. Dünyada çok az ülke Türkiye kadar terör sorunu ile karşı karşıya kalmıştır. Göz ardı edilmemelidir ki, Türkiye'de terörizme karşı kazanılacak zafer, tüm dünyaya örnek olacak ve barış için en büyük bir adım teşkil edecektir. Bu çalışma, genelde dünya coğrafyasının büyük bir kısmının farklı sebep ve şekillerde de olsa maruz kaldığı terör ve terörizm kavramlarının tanımlanması ve terörizmin nedenleri, amaçları, özellikleri, çeşitleri ve terörün uluslararasılaşan boyutunu ele almış; özelde ise Türkiye'nin de yıllardır maruz kaldığı PKK Terör Örgütü'nün örgüt yapısı, ideolojisi, amaç-stratejisi, geçirdiği evreler incelenmiştir. Uluslararası boyut başlığı altında ise, Birleşmiş Milletler (BM), Avrupa Birliği (AB), Avrupa Konseyi Parlamenterler Meclisi (AKPM) Avrupa İnsan Hakları Mahkemesi (AİHM) gibi uluslararası örgütlerin ve bazı ülkelerin yıllar itibariyle sergiledikleri PKK politikaları ve tutumları açıklanmaya çalışılmıştır. ; Although terrorism is defined for dozen of years in various ways it has not a clear definition acceptable due to it is described in different ways in different times by state policies and interest groups. There is no country in the world who suffered from terrorism as much as Turkey. It must be remembered that victory against terrorism will be a sample for all countries in the world and it will be the greatest step in the way of peace. This study deals with the definition of terrorism which major part of the world is subjected to with different reasons and reasons, aims, properties, types and the international dimension of the terror in particular PKK terror group to which Turkey is subjected to for years, with its structure, ideology, strategical aim and the steps of the event. In the international dimension title, policies and manners that is exposed by the United Nations (UN), the European Union (EU), international organisations such as Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) and European Court of Human Rights (ECHR), as well as some countries against PKK policies.

In parallel with the worldwide studies focusing on the International Relations (IR) discipline, there have been works looking into the transformation of the IR discipline in Turkey and its contribution to the global knowledge production. In order to provide sound data for these studies, International Relations Council of Turkey (IRCT) conducted two surveys among the Turkish IR academics in 2007 and 2009, and have been cooperating with the Institute for the Theory and Practice of International Relations at the College of William and Mary since then on the Teaching, Research and International Policy (TRIP) project. The TRIP surveys that aim to understand the epistemological and ontological limits, autonomous character of the IR discipline as well as the theoretical, metodological and pedagocial approaches in which IR scholars used in their teaching and research activities, also help to comprehend the place of the Turkish IR scholars within the global IR discipline. This paper presents Turkey-related findings of the lastest survey, which was simultaneously conducted in 35 different countries between February and July 2018.

Teknoloji her geçen gün ilerlemektedir. Gelişen ve değişen teknolojiye ayak uydurmak güç hale gelmiştir. Değişen bu teknolojiye ayak uyduran ülke ekonomileri ayakta kalabilmektedir. Özellikle gelişen teknolojik faaliyetleri lojistik sektörüne uyarlayan devletler, ekonomide çığır açmaktadır. Ülkemizin 2023 hedefleri doğrultusunda "Dünyada İlk On Ekonomi İçerisine Girme" planı olduğu bilinmektedir. Türkiye bu hedefe akıllı siyaset, planlı altyapı ve güçlü ticari ilişkilerle ulaşılabilecektir. İran ve Türkiye arasındaki ilişkiler çok eskiye dayanmaktadır. İran, ticari ilişkilerimizin güçlü olduğu sınır komşumuzdur. Aynı zamanda İran ile siyasi birlikteliğe, sosyal ilişkilere, kültürel alışverişlere ve ticari altyapıya sahibiz. İki ülke arasında özellikle enerji alanında anlaşmalar mevcuttur. Dış ticaretimizin önemli bölümünde söz sahibi olan İran ile ilişkilerimiz ilerleyen yıllarda da devam edecektir. ; Technology advances each passing day. It is getting hard to keep pace with developing and changing technology. Especially countries adapting that technology to logistic sector achieve a significant breakthrough in economy. Turkey is known to have plan to become one of top ten countries in economies in the World. She'll reach her goal only with smart policies, planned infrastructure and strong commercial relations. Relations between Iran and Turkey date back to very old times. Iran is a border neighbour with which Turkey has not only a strong commercial relations, but also political union, social relations, cultural exchanges and commercial infrastructure. Besides there are accords on energy sector between two countries. It is clear that relationship between Turkey and Iran which has a say in a huge part of foreign relations of Turkey is going to be continued.

Uluslararası İlişkiler Disiplini özünde barış nasıl tesis edilebilir sorusu üzerinden ortaya çıkmış bir disiplindir. Süreç içerisinde barış olgusu güvenlik ile paralel şekilde ele alınmış; güvenliğin sağlanarak aynı sorunların tekrar yaşanmaması için neler yapılabileceği konusunda çaba sarf etmektedir. Disiplinin temel inceleme alanı ve baş aktörü devlet olduğu için; devletlerin var olduğu süreçten itibaren disiplinden bahsetmek mümkündür. Modern anlamda 1648 Westfalya Antlaşması ile kurulduğu belirtilen disiplin, günümüze kadar içerisinde birçok farklı tartışma ve düşünceye ev sahipliği yapmıştır. Lakin birçok tartışma ve düşünce özünde güvenlik odaklı olup, devletlerin güvenliğini nasıl tesis edileceği veya güvenliğin neden gerekli olup, hangi koşullarda bunun ihlal edildiği konusu üzerinde tartışılmıştır. Güvenlik devletlerin en vazgeçilmez olgusu olduğu için disiplin içinde hemen hemen her teorik tartışma güvenliğe atıfta bulunmuştur. Çalışmada güvenlik ile ilgili tüm yaklaşımlar geçmişten günümüze kadar incelenecektir. Devamında 21.Yüzyıla doğru güvenliğin çeşitlendiği, yeni paradigmaların ortaya çıktığı süreç ele alınacaktır. Küreselleşme ve teknolojik gelişmelerin yatay bir şekilde ilerlediği süreçte yeni bir alan olarak ortaya çıkan Siber Uzay ise çalışmanın temelinde yer alacak; siber uzayda meydana gelen yeni meydan okuma olarak Siber Güvenlik olgusu ele irdelenecektir. Siber güvenliğin Uluslararası İlişkiler içerisine nasıl dâhil edildiği ve nasıl analiz edildiği çalışmanın önemli ve kilit noktasını teşkil edecektir ; International Relations is essentially a discipline that emerged from the question of how peace can be established. In the process, the peace case is handled in parallel with the security and efforts are made to ensure that the same problems do not happen again. Since the main subject of discipline is the state, it is possible to talk about discipline from the time when states exist. In the modern sense, the discipline established by the Treaty of Westphalia of 1648 has hosted many different debates and conventions within the day. However, many discussions and thoughts are essentially security oriented and discussed on how to establish the security of the states or why security is necessary and in which conditions it is violated. Since security is the most indispensable state of the states, almost every theoretical discussion in the discipline has been found in safety. The study will examine all approaches to security in the past to the present. Then the process of emerging new paradigms, where security is diversified towards the 21st century, will be addressed. Globalization and technological developments in the form of a horizontal Cyber emerged as a new field in the process of promoting space will take place on the basis of the work; Cyberspace as a new challenge occurring in cyberspace Security will handle cases examined. How cyber security is incorporated into the International Relations and how it is analyzed will be an important and key point of study.

Bir ülkenin imajı, uluslararası ilişkilerin oluşumunda en önemli faktörlerden birisidir ve günümüzde imaj kavramının artan önemi, bilgi teknolojilerin hızlı gelişimi, medya ve diğer iletişim araçlarının toplumsal algı ve görüşleri yönlendirebilme özelliğinin, devletin uluslararası düzeyde siyasi karar verme süreciyle doğrudan bağlantılı görülmektedir. Tezin amacı, kültürel ve etnik bağlamda birbirine yakın olan bu ülkelerin faaliyetlerinin başarılı bir dayanışma modeli olarak sunulması, hem Türkiye, hem de Azerbaycan açısından imaj konsepti kapsamında, gelecekte ortak çalışmaların hayata geçirilmesine zemin oluşturarak katkıda bulunmasıdır. Özellikle, bu yönde akademik çalışmaların artması ümit edilmektedir. Yapılan literatür taramasında, her iki ülkenin uluslararası imaj yönetimi çerçevesinde sınırlı çalışmaların bulunması, bu konuya yönelik ilginin artmasına katkıda bulunabilir. Çünkü günümüzde oluşturulan ve yönetilen imaj bir ülke açısından ekonomik gücü kadar stratejik bir öneme sahiptir ve özellikle ülkeye yönelik algının oluşmasında tesirli bir faktör olarak görülmektedir. Bu çerçevede çalışma dört bölümden oluşmaktadır. Birinci bölümde, Bu çalışma, genel olarak, Türkiye-Azerbaycan ilişkilerinin kuramsal açıdan değerlendirmesi yapılmıştır. İkinci bölümde, Azerbaycan ve Türkiye arasında siyasal ilişkilerin tarihsel gelişimi ele alınarak, günümüzdeki boyutuna kadar incelenmiştir. Üçüncü bölümde, iki ülke arasında kurulmuş olan ekonomik işbirliği ele alınmaktadır. Bölgesel bağlamda bu işbirliğini pekiştiren enerji ve ulaşım projelerinin gerçekleştirilmesiyle her iki ülkenin elde edeceği olanaklar ve uluslararası alanda bu bölgenin bir enerji merkezine çevrileceği yönünde gelecek perspektifler incelenmektedir. Dördüncü bölümde ise, Türkiye ve Azerbaycan'ın uluslararası tanıtımında yükselen eğilimler değerlenderilerek, her iki ülke arasındaki ilişkilerin uluslararası imaj açısından analizi yapılmıştır. Aynı zamanda, ülke imajını pekiştiren etkinliklerin organize edilmesiyle sağlanan olanaklar, örneğin uluslararası etkinlikler gibi bazı örnekler üzerinden ele alınmıştır. Özellikle, son yıllarda Azerbaycan'da düzenlenen uluslararası spor ve kültürel etkinliklerin ülke imajına sağladığı katkı çerçevesinde bir değerlendirme yapılarak, imaj üzerinde olan tesiri incelenmiştir ; The image of a country is one of the most important factors for the development of international relations and the growing importance of today's image concept, the rapid development of information technology, the influence of media and other communication tools on a social perception and managing feedback feature seems directly linked to the political decision-making of the state at the international level. The aim of the thesis, is to present the activities of these countries, which are close to each other in the cultural and ethnic context, as a successful solidarity model, and in terms of both Turkey and Azerbaijan to create the ground for the of future collaboration, in particular it is hoped to increase the academic work in this direction. In a literature search, the limited sources in the context of the image management of both countries, contribute to the increasing interest in this issue. Because today the right image has a strategic importance at least in the foreign policy and economic power of the country, especially as an effective factor in the formation of the perception of the country. In this context, the study consists of four parts. In the first part, Turkish Azerbaijani relations were analyzed through thepretical approach. In the second chapter, the historical development of political relations between Azerbaijan and Turkey is examined. Especially after gaining the independence, Azerbaijan established close relations with Turkey and it has been described as a new era for both countries. In the third chapter, it was discussed the economic cooperation between the two countries. In a regional context, the realization of energy and transport projects carried out by both countries, reinforces this cooperation, which will gain opportunities in the international arena and the region's future direction to be converted into energy hub. In the fourth chapter, there were analyzed Turkey-Azerbaijan relations in terms of international image, has been transferred the general characteristics of country image concept and aspects of positive image development. At the same time, the possibilities provided by organizing events that enhance the image of the country have been addressed through some examples, such as international events. At the same time, it was analyzed how global events organization activities reinforce the country's image, for example through international events. Particularly, an assessment made in the framework of the contribution of the sporting, cultural events held in Azerbaijan in recent years to the country's image in parallel, and the effect on the image that has been examined

Uluslararası Sistem, Soğuk Savaş'ın sona ermesi ve Sovyet Sosyalist Cumhuriyetler Birliği'nin (SSCB) çöküşü gibi olaylar neticesinde bazı değişimlere uğramıştır. Bu değişimler kapsamında Yugoslavya'da iç karışıklıklar çıkmış ve Yugoslavya parçalanmıştır. Bu gelişme uluslararası sistem ve uluslararası politika üzerinde bazı etkiler ortaya çıkarmıştır. Amerika Birleşik Devletleri'nin (ABD) özellikle SSCB'nin çöküşünün ardından yeni bir düzen oluşturma adına sürdürdüğü faaliyetler, Avrupa Topluluğu'nun savunma ve güvenlik açısından ortak bir yapı kurma girişimleri, Kuzey Atlantik Antlaşması Organizasyonu (NATO) ve Birleşmiş Milletler (BM) benzeri uluslararası kuruluşların izledikleri politikaların uluslararası sistem kadar Yugoslavya'nın parçalanma sürecinde de etkili olduğunu ifade etmek mümkündür. Yugoslavya'da tarihsel süreç içerisinde problem yaşayan etnik grupların beraber yaşamak durumunda kalmaları, bunlar arasındaki problemlerin devam etmesi dağılma sürecini hızlandırmıştır. Bununla birlikte iktisadi açıdan bölgeler arasındaki gelişmişlik farkları, etnik gruplar arasındaki problemlerin daha da büyümesine neden olmuştur. Bu çalışmanın amacı Yugoslavya'nın parçalanmasının uluslararası sistem ve politika üzerindeki etkilerinin anlaşılmasıdır. Bu bağlamda uluslararası sistem ile Konstrüktivist yaklaşımlar da bu konuyla ilgili olarak ele alınmıştır. ; The international system has undergone some change sdueto the end of the Cold War and the collapse of the USSR. In the context of the sechanges, the rehave been some internal turmoil in Yugoslavia and Yugoslavia has been fragmented as a result of the sein ternalturmoil. This fragmentation has had some impact on the international system and international policy. The United States of America (USA), in particular, following the collapse of the USSR in order toestablish a new order of activities, the European Community to create a common structure in terms of defense and security, NATO and United Nations international organizations, such as the policies followed by the international system. It is also possible to say that Yugoslavia is effective in the process of disintegration. The fact that ethnic groups living in Yugoslavia who have problems in the historical process live to gether and the problems between the seethnic groups continue to accelerate the process of disintegration. On the other hand, the differences in economic development between regions have caused problems between ethnic groups to groweven more. The aim of this study is tounderstand the impact of the disintegration of Yugoslavia on the international system and policy. In this context, the international system and the Constructivist approachesare discussed in this respect. As a result of the evaluations, it is expected tounderstand the effects of the global changes in Yugoslavia.

Bu araştırma, uluslararası ticaret bakımından Türkiye ve Avrupa'nın ilişkilerini ve bir değişken olarak gümrük birliği antlaşmasının sonuçlarını değerlendirmeyi amaçlamıştır. Avrupa Birliği'nin kurulmasından itibaren internasyonel ticaret birliklerinin kurulumları hız kazanmıştır fakat dünyada internasyonel olarak kurulan ve bütçesi en fazla olan bu birlik ile komşuluk ilişkisine sahip Türkiye'nin nasıl bir ilişki geliştirdiği ve geliştireceğinden de bahsedilmiştir. Ticaret olanakları ve antlaşmalarının iki taraf için de nasıl bir etki yarattığı analiz edilerek sunulmuştur. Avrupa Birliği ve Türkiye özelinde oluşturulan tablolardan yararlanılarak iki ülkenin ticaretleri incelenerek değerlendirmelerde bulunulmuştur. Bu araştırmada nitel araştırma yöntemleri kullanılmıştır. Araştırmamızın konusu olan değişkenleri içine alan araştırmaların verileri ve tabloları kullanılarak bakış açısı geliştirilmeye çalışılmıştır. ; This research, in terms of international trade relations between Turkey and Europe as a variable and aimed to evaluate the results of the customs union treaty. The European Union has won the speed of installation, but after the establishment was founded as International International trade union in the world and most of which have been mentioned budget will be developed and how to develop a relationship with the union neighborly relations with Turkey. It is presented by analyzing how trade opportunities and treaties have an impact on both sides. The European Union and Turkey benefiting from the ones created in the table have been made in special assessment examining the two countries' trade. Qualitative research methods were used in this study. It has been tried to improve the viewpoints by using the data and tables of the researches including the variables of our research.

Bu çalışma, Türkiye Zeytinyağı sektörünün uluslararası rekabet gücünün analiz edilmesi amacıyla yapılmıştır. Üç bölümden oluşan çalışmanın ilk bölümünde araştırmanın küreselleşme bağlamında dünya tarım ve gıda sektörünün genel görünümü açıklanmıştır. İkinci bölümde, zeytinyağı sektörü detaylı analize konu edilmiştir. Üçüncü bölümde ise rekabet kavramı, rekabet gücü tanımları yapıldıktan sonra zeytinyağı sektörünün uluslararası rekabet gücü detaylı analiz edilmek üzere araştırma kapsamında ele alınan endeksler ile açıklanmaya çalışılmıştır. Zeytinyağı ihracat yoğunluğumuza göre belirlenen hedef pazarlarda, rakip ülkeler tespit edilmiş ve bu ülkeler karşısında Türkiye'nin rekabet avantajı hesaplanmıştır. Elde edilen bulgular doğrultusunda sonuç bölümünde zeytinyağı sektörünün geleceğine yönelik politika tedbirleri önerilmiştir. ; This study was conducted in order to analyze the international competitiveness of Turkey in the olive oil sector. In the first part of the study which consists of three sections, the general view of the world agriculture and food sector in the context of the globalization of the research is explained. In the second part, the olive oil sector is analyzed in detail. In the third chapter, after the definition of competitiveness, power of competitiveness is tried to be explained with the indices discussed within the scope of the research in order to analyze the international competitiveness of olive oil sector in detail. Olive oil export target markets determined by the intensity of our competitor countries have been identified and are calculated against these countries Turkey's competitive advantage. In line with the findings, policy measures for the future of the olive oil sector are proposed in the conclusion part.

Terörizm ve terör olayları ülkeler açısından farklılıklar gösterse de birçok ülke için tehlike ve tehdit unsuru olarak karşımıza çıkmaktadır. Terör olayları ilk olarak insanoğlunun var oluşu ile birlikte Habil ve Kabil kardeşlerinin birbirleri ile olan mücadeleleri ilk örnek olarak sunulabilir. Toplumlar oluştukça devlet yapıları ortaya çıktıkça terör olguları bağımsızlık mücadeleleri bir takım iç savaş ve yıkımlara neden olmuştur. Bu çalışmada terörizm, terör örgütleri ve ülkemizde faaliyet te bulunan narko terör yapısı incelenmeye çalışılmıştır. Dünya'da ve ülkemizde üretimi bir şekilde gerçekleşen veya transit güzergâh üzerinde olan ülkemiz coğrafyası kullanılarak geçişi sağlanan uyuşturucu maddelerine karşılık nasıl ve ne şekilde önlem alınacağı üzerine durulmaya çalışılmıştır. Ülkemizde uyuşturucu ile mücadele kapsamında adli kolluk görevi bulunan Emniyet teşkilatı, Gümrük ve Ticaret Bakanlığı ve Jandarma Genel Komutanlığı'nın yapmış olduğu hem kendi birimlerince hem de ortaklaşa koordineli bir şekilde bu mücadelede ele geçirilen ürünlerin yakalamaları incelenmiş olup; eksik yanları ele alınarak daha hızlı ve etkin yakalama önerileriyle sonuçlandırılmıştır. Uyuşturucu ile mücadele noktasında sadece ülkemiz kendi organları ile değil uluslar arası düzeyde Avrupa devletleri ve diğer Dünya devletleri ile koordineli bir şekilde çalışmalarını sürdürmektedir. Ülkeler arası oluşturulan anlaşmalar ile uyuşturucu ile mücadele noktasında hızlı ve etkili müdahaleleri ile etkinlikleri artırmaya çalışılmaktadır. ; Although terrorism and terrorism differ from country to country, it is a danger and threat to many countries. The events of terror can be presented as the first example of the struggle of the Babylonian and Kabul brothers with each other, along with the existence of the human being. As societies emerged, the emergence of state structures led to a number of civil wars and devastation in the struggle for independence of terrorist events. In this study, we tried to investigate the terrorist organization, terrorist organization and the structure of narco terror which has activity in our country. It has been tried to focus on how and how measures will be taken against the drug substances that have been produced in the world and in our country through the production of the country or on the transit route using the geography of our country. The capture of the products captured in this struggle both in their own units and jointly coordinated with the police, the Ministry of Customs and Trade and the General Command of Gendarmerie have been examined in the fight against drugs in our country. it was concluded with suggestions for catching faster and more effectively by considering the missing aspects. At the point of struggle against drugs, not only our country continues to work in coordination with European states and other world states at international level, not with their own bodies. Through agreements formed between countries, efforts are being made to increase activities with fast and effective interventions at the point of fighting against drugs.

Bilişim teknolojilerinin gelişmesi, kamu hizmetlerinin sunumunda bir felsefe değişimi ortaya çıkarmıştır. Küresel ölçekte uzun yıllardır varlığını sürdüren ve gelişim halinde olan e-devlet uygulamaları çeşitli uluslararası kurullarca gözlenmeye değer bulunmuştur. Evrensel bir e-devlet standardının bulunmaması uluslararası alanda bir inceleme gerekliliğini ortaya koymuştur. Bu amaçlarla BM, AB ve Waseda Üniversitesi & IAC gibi yapılar, e-devlet alanında çalışmalar yapmaya ve belirli aralıklarla raporlar yayınlamaya başlamışlardır. Türkiye de bu çalışmalara konu olmaktadır. Bu makalede; kamu yönetiminde köklü değişiklikler meydana getiren e-devlet kavramı açıklanmış, Türkiye'nin e-devlete geçiş süreci ve sunduğu hizmetler ile günümüzdeki durumu irdelenmiş, son olarak sözü edilen kuruluşların yayınladığı raporlar detaylı olarak incelenmiştir. Bu raporlara göre Türkiye, dalgalanmalar yaşansa da her üç endekste de gelişmişlik puanını artırma eğilimindedir. Endekslerde yer alan diğer ülkelerin de gelişmeler gösterdiği düşünüldüğünde, Türkiye'nin e-devlet gelişmişlik puanları yükselmesine karşın sıralamalarda hem yükseliş hem de düşüşler gösterdiği sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Özetle Türkiye, sıralamalarda sıçrama gerçekleştirmese de gelişimini istikrarlı biçimde sürdüren bir ülkedir. ; With the development of information technology, the philosophy of providing of public services started to change. Living for many years and developing on a global scale, e-government has been researched by various international organization. Because of the absence of a universal e-government standard, a research is required on global scale. For these purposes, structures such as the UN, EU and Waseda University & IAC have started to work in the field of e-government and to publish reports periodically. Turkey is also the subject of these studies. In this article; the concept of e-government which introduced radical changes in public administration was explained, Turkey's transition process to the e-government, the services it provides and the current situation have been examined and finally, the reports issued by the mentioned organizations have been examined in detail. According to these reports, Turkey tends to increase its development score in all three indices even though there are fluctuations. Other countries in the indices are also improving. Although Turkey has improved its e-government development scores, there is both a rise and a fall in the rankings. As a result, Turkey is a country that continues its development stably even if it does not make a leap in order.

Çerçeveleme analizi ve derlembilim yaklaşımı kullanan bu çalışma uluslararası medyada Türkiye'nin temsilini Aralık 2016 ve Haziran 2018 arasındaki BBC Haberlerine odaklanarak incelemiştir. Sonuçlar Türkiye'nin BBC Haberler'deki ülkeler arasında 17. sırada yer aldığını ve uluslararası olarak sıklıkla Suriye, ABD, Almanya, Rusya ve Hollanda ile ilintilendirilmiş olduğunu göstermektedir. Sıklıkla kullanılan kelimeler Türkiye, Türk, Erdogan, halk, Suriye, hükümet, Kürt, Suriyeli, devlet ve darbe olmuştur. Türkiye etkileyici bir lider (Erdogan) tarafından idare edilen, silahlı Kürt gruplarla gerilim yaşayan, Suriye iç savaşına karışmış, başarısız darbe teşebbüsünden muzdarip olurken Gülen Hareketi'ne saldıran ve bunun da toplumda ağır baskıya neden olduğu bir ülke olarak temsil edilmiştir. BBC'nin özellikle üç haber çerçevesi kullandığı bulunmuştur: çatışma (Erdoğan vs. Gulen, Türkiye vs. Suriye, Türkiye vs. silahlı Kürt gruplar), insan çıkarı (terör, savaş ve baskı yüzünden acı çekme) ve sorumluluk (kurtarıcı olarak Erdogan). ; Using a framing analysis and a corpus approach, this study investigated the representation of Turkey in the international media by focusing on the BBC News between December 2016 and June 2018. The results showed that Turkey was ranked 17th among countries in the BBC News and was often associated with Syria, the USA, Germany, Russia, and the Netherlands internationally. The frequently used words were Turkey, Turkish, Erdogan, people, Syria, government, Kurdish, Syrian, state, and coup. Turkey was represented as a country ruled by an influential leader (Erdogan), experiencing tensions with the armed Kurdish groups, involved in the Syrian internal war, and suffering from a failed coup attempt in which Turkey attacked the Gulen movement, which caused severe oppression in society. It was found that the BBC used particularly three news frames: conflict (Erdogan vs. Gulen, Turkey vs. Syria, Turkey vs. armed Kurdish groups), human interest (sufferings because of terror, war, and oppression) and responsibility (Erdogan as a savior).

Uluslararası ilişkiler konularına her geçen gün artan ilgi, halen çok yeni bir akademik disiplin olan ve büyük ölçüde interdisipliner bir karaktere sahip Uluslararası İlişkiler disiplininde yapılan çalışmaların yöntemsel boyutunun da ön plana çıkmasına sebep olmaktadır. Çünkü yeni doğan bir disiplin için yapılması gereken en önemli iki şeyden birisi disiplinin çalışma alanlarının belirlenmesi iken, diğeri de bu alanların nasıl çalışılacağının belirlenmesidir. Yirminci yüzyılın ortalarından bu yana ekonomi bilimi başta olmak üzere politika ve uluslararası ilişkiler konularında da etkili olan rasyonel tercih yaklaşımı, Uluslararası İlişkiler disiplinine yöntemsel anlamda önemli bir perspektif kazandırmıştır. Özellikle Soğuk Savaş sırasında dış politika analizi ve strateji konularında önemli analizlerin yapılmasına imkan veren bu yaklaşım, pozitivist varsayımların ciddi eleştirilerle karşılaştığı günümüz dünyasında halen önemini korumaktadır. Fakat Türkiye'de siyaset bilimciler tarafından neredeyse hiç çalışılmayan, literatürde yer bulmayan bu yaklaşımı Türkçe okumak ve anlamak için kaynak sayısı çok sınırlıdır. Bu durum Türkçe literatür için önemli bir eksikliktir. Bu sebeple bu çalışmanın amacı Uluslararası İlişkiler disiplininde yönteme ilişkin tartışmaları analiz etmek, uluslararası ilişkilerde rasyonel tercih uygulamalarının niteliğini ortaya koymak ve yaklaşımın Uluslararası İlişkiler disiplinindeki yeri ve analiz gücünü tartışmaya çalışmaktır. Çalışmanın ortaya attığı tez, özellikle Türkçe literatürde neredeyse hiç yer bulmayan Uluslararası İlişkiler disiplininde rasyonel tercih yaklaşımı ve modellerinin disiplin için önem taşıdığı ve çok farklı kuramsal ve alansal çalışmaların analizinde etkili olduğudur. 1950'lerden bu yana uluslararası literatürde yayınlanmakta olan ve her geçen gün çoğalan çalışmalar bunun en önemli göstergesidir. Bu çalışmaların Türkçe literatürde de yer bulması ve yaklaşımın Türkiye'deki Uluslararası İlişkiler disiplini üyeleri tarafından tanınması; disiplinin ve disiplindeki öğrencilerin gelişimi açısından önem taşımaktadır. ; The increasing interest in international relations topics has led to the emergence of the methodological dimension of the studies carried out in the International Relations discipline, which is a very new academic discipline and which has a highly interdisciplinary character. Because of the fact that one of the two most important things that must be done for a new discipline is to determine the working areas of the discipline, while the other is to determine how these fields will be studied. Since the mid-twentieth century, the rational choice approach, which has been effective in the fields of economics, politics and international relations, has brought an important perspective on the discipline of International Relations. This approach, which allowed significant analysis of foreign policy and strategy during the Cold War, is still important in today's world, where positivist assumptions face serious criticism. However, this is an approach almost no political scientist studies on it in Turkey and there are very limited number of studies on this approach to read and understand it in Turkish language. This situation is an important deficiency in Turkish literature. For this reason, the aim of this study is to analyze the debates on methodology in International Relations discipline, to put forth the quality of rational choice practices in international relations and to try to discuss the place and the power of rational choice analysis in the discipline of International Relations. The thesis proposed by the study is that rational choice approach and models in International Relations discipline, which are almost never found in Turkish literature, are important for the discipline and effective in analyzing different theoretical and spatial studies. The studies that have been published in the international literature since the 1950s and are increasing day by day are the most important indicators. It is important for the development of the discipline and the students of the discipline. The fact that such studies take place also in Turkish literature, the approach is known by the members of the discipline in Turkey, is important for the development of the discipline and the students in the discipline in Turkey.

"Uluslararası Uyuşmazlıkların Çözümünde Birleşmiş Milletler Genel Kurulu'nun Rolü" başlıklı tez çalışması üç bölümden oluşmaktadır. Çalışmanın birinci bölümünde, teze yönelik destek nitelikte teorik alt yapı oluşturulmuş ve Birleşmiş Milletler'in yetkileri, görevleri ve kurumsal yapısı ele alınmıştır. Çalışmanın ikinci bölümünde, Birleşmiş Milletler Genel Kurulu'nun kurumsal yapısı özet nitelikte incelenmiş ve Genel Kurul'un uluslararası uyuşmazlıkların çözümüne yönelik etkisi belirlenmeye çalışılmıştır. Bu bölümde ayrıca BM Genel Kurulu'nun yetkileri ve görevleri tez konusuyla ilişkilendirilerek aktarılmıştır. Çalışmanın üçüncü ve son bölümünde ise ilk iki bölümdeki açıklamalar, bilgiler ve değerlendirmeler doğrultusunda özellikle uluslararası uyuşmazlıkların çözüm yolları sunulmuş ve Genel Kurul'un uluslararası uyuşmazlıkların çözümünde üstlendiği rol örnek nitelikteki uyuşmazlıklarla açıklanmaya çalışılmıştır. ; This thesis study entitled "The Role of The United Nations General Assembly In Resolution of International Conflicts" consists of three parts. In the first part of the study, it is made a theoritical/conceptual framework in order to support the thesis and it is also presented the authority, functions and the institutional structure of the United Nations. In the second part of the study, the institutional structure of the United Nations General Assembly is briefly examined and the effect/role of the General Assembly in resolution of international conflicts is tried to be determined. In this part of the study it is also presented the authority and the functions of the General Assembly by linking the topic of the thesis. In the third and the last part of the study, it is presented the methods of resolving international conflicts in accordance with explanations, informations and evaluations of previous parts of the study and the role taken by the United Nations General Assembly in resolution of international conflicts is explained with examples of conflicts.
