Purpose
The purpose of this paper is to focus on the state of entrepreneurship research in the Latin American context, with special emphasis on international entrepreneurship research developed in this region. Therefore, the aim and contribution are to identify the main themes in the literature about entrepreneurship and show the evolution of entrepreneurship research in Latin America to stimulate the research and provide future research lines.
Design/methodology/approach
The methodology is based in a systematic literature review, using 128 articles published between 2002 and 2018, in scientific journals in the region according to SCImago Journal & Country Rank.
Findings
The results show the evolution through the journals, authors, topics and methodologies used by the researchers. It is emphasized that there is a very low level of research in international entrepreneurship in Latin America. This result is coherent with higher levels of entrepreneurship in Latin American countries but very few oriented to international markets. This is one of the challenges considering the importance of this field.
Originality/value
Entrepreneurship is a field of study that has grown throughout history. Even so, in the Latin American context, research published in high impact journals is limited. This paper is the first systematic literature review and thematic analysis of research on the field of entrepreneurship in the Latin American context. In this way, it serves as encouragement for future research, providing possibilities and challenges within the field of study.

In the last two decades a new kind of writing has been developing in Latin America which is generally referred to as testimonial literature. In contrast to conventional writing about the colonial situation, testimonial literature is produced by subaltern peoples on the the margin of the dependent system. The authors discuss the development, the sociology and political economy, the content and the forms of testimonial literature in Latin America

The article aimed to analyze the presence of Armed Violence (AV) in Latin America (LA), in vulnerable spaces and its impacts on the health of the population. As a methodology, the authors adopted an integrative literature review with an analysis of 33 articles. AV in LA is associated with the colonization process, social inequalities, structural violence, military conflicts between organized crime and the State and homicides. It imposes difficulties in the performance of health professionals, interruption of care and therapeutic bonds, feelings of fear and frustration, psychological distress, stress and depression. It is concluded that the historical weight of Latin American colonization reifies the vulnerabilities in certain territories affected by the AV; this must be seen as a public health problem that requires the development of public policies to face it.

This paper aims to be a contribution to critical thinking on the relationship between literature and photography, based on the category "Siamese language" as a reading proposal to analyze the encounter of both artistic codes and its implications. In a political gesture, the reflections of several Latin American scholars are summoned: Julio Ramos, Carlos Rincón, Graciela Montaldo, Florencia Garramuño, trying both to systematize their contributions and to articulate them with the contemporary literary production of the region. In this sense, I will work with three novels by Latin American authors in a sort of cartographic project: El infarto del alma, Jacobo el mutante and donde, by Diamela Eltit (Chile), Mario Bellatin (Mexico) and Eduardo Lalo (Puerto Rico), respectively.

Exile, internal and external, enforced and involuntary, has been a constant condition of Latin American experience. From the time of independence from Spain and Portugal to current struggles to break dependency on cultural imperialism, exile has intersected all phases of the construction of national cultures in the continent. The paper focusses on Latin American literature in exile during the past 13 years which followed the fall of Allende in Chile
