The Treaty of Lisbon dated 13 December 2007 replaces the treaty for a European Constitution dated 29 October 2004, which failed in France & Germany due to popular vote. The Treaty of Lisbon would change political relations in Germany as individual states would become member states of a union state, the European Union. This article addresses the European Union as Federal State without people, the economic & currency union against the social principle, the loss of legal sovereignty, the demise of the basic right culture, existential justice & police policies for the Union, militarization of the EU & the right to war, general powers, & subsidiarity. The European Union needs new treaties that can be accepted by each individual state. The task is to create a Europe of people, where justice is created by people for the people so they can be citizens of such a community. E. Sanchez
