; The examination of some passages in Aristophanes's "Archanians" and Plautus' "The Persians" unveils typical imagery regarding the persian people by ancient greeks and latins, who qualified the former as opulent, ceremonial and exotic. Still, a more complex view is at times afforded in the form of better knowledge of customs and history lived by those rival peoples of western culture. It so happens in Aeschylus's "Persians" and Heterodotus's "History" where the image of the persians corresponds to a more objective consideration from a three-fold viewpoint: social, political and religious. ; peerReviewed

Starting from the question made by Derrida about the suspicious absence of democratic philosophers from Plato to Heidegger, the article thinks over the relationship that democracy and literature have held with philosophy.Assuming the former as the game of diversity of beings, the exchange ofwords in a no-win combat, which is peculiar of agon and pólemos,it is shown how at its platonic beginning, philosophy institutes its ideal of Meaning Goodness and Truth opposing, preciselydemocratic agitation. But an the other hand, critical Kantian thinking outstands as an opening moment to the plural relationship of beings Possessing, from its beginning as mythology, the critical strength of this thinking is what allows literature to reach the traces of democracy.

; [EN] The purpose of this paper is to analyse the humouristic element in Roald Dahl´s children literature. It is shown how the author writes a satire about society and politics. It is also seen his way of recreating fairy tales, doing a parody of classic characters and endowing them with qualities opposite to those they have in the original work. It is also seen how nonsense is the basis for many stories in his narrative and those jokes which are referred to dirt or body functions that connect so easily with children's sense of humour. An attempt is made in this article to show the humouristic elements that the author uses to attract the reader's attention. ; The purpose of this paper is to analyse the humouristic element in Roald Dahl´s children literature. 1. Dependency and Urbanization (1940-1960) In the avatars of the spanish Civil War, the Second World War and the Cold war, The countries in Latino America attended to the international event in marginal roles: The first one, they contributed militar people to the republican cause, and they also received pursued politicians and migrants. In the Second one, they gave some raw material the allies, and, inderectly, they declared the war to the axis, when USA -through the Panamerican union- suggested the convenience of that attitude. In the third one, some country gave soldiers to face the comunism in Korea. This marginal roles let infer some of the political and economic processes that the continent faced: the spread of republicanims and socialism. On one hand, economic dependency and militar ideologies allies with USA, and on the other, after decades of submission to the english capital. In politics, the above circumstances are evident in the forms of government prevailing in different nations: in some, weak democracies, in other old dictatorships. In economics, both developed pre-industrial processes or in transit towards light industry: in the fields, the depreciation of monocultures, in cities, the growth of small industries. And above all, the presence of foreign capital - in particular North American - that wanted to get good dividends from suitable land, raw materials and cheap labor, and complacent laws and authorities (1) ; 1.
