; Shoes are not only useful; they are also our constant companions, and, as such, they attest to different truths, depending on their utility and their owner. They can belong to vagabonds or prisoners, to soldiers, artists, or peasants, to adults or children, to murderers or victims Many conceal a mystery, and they all have a history. Since its beginnings, art has included them and linked them to diverse events, as is the case in the works of Vincent Van Gogh, Can Togay, and Gyula Pauer. On the basis of the work of these artists, the article connects emptiness and horror in art with truth, understood as alétheia or unconcealment, remembrance, and event, and inquires into the hidden story of certain artworks.

The article deals with the constitution of a «historical people» in the conference munity that underlie to the interpretations of works of art in the conference are examined, pointing out the relationship of both with two types of different communities. In turn, they also constituted the images of ideal community of nacionalsocialism in power. This coincidence shows a deep agreement of Heidegger with governing nacionalsocialism different from a mere adhesion to the party. In this way, it is shown the parallel of the question about the «new beginning» looked for by Heidegger starting from the Kehre and his political commitment for those years ; El artículo se ocupa de la constitución de un «pueblo histórico» en la conferencia El origen de la obra de arte, de Martin Heidegger.

; We assume an unbreakable connection between the anthropological, epistemological, and political positions in the 20th century. From this perspective, we shall intend an approach to a complex link: Herbert Marcuse's and Martin Heidegger. Considering the connection between the Nazi ideology and the philosophy of technology, we shall point to some characteristics of the relationship between Heidegger and Marcuse trying to show the separation of the latter from his mentor regarding the political and ideological environment, as well as his philosophical and methodological understanding of science and technology using the background of his anthropological position. We shall focus on one aspect of this relationship: the one that deals with the philosophy of technology and its contribution to the thesis we propose as the starting point of the discussion. ; Fil: Fischetti, Natalia Beatriz. Posthumanism is based on the premise that there are several key points at which obsolete humanism must be superseded. Authors such as Peter Sloterdijk have updated the critique that Martin Heidegger levelled at humanism in his well-known Letter to Jean Beaufret. But the thinker who dealt with the forgetting of being forgot to consider the non-platonic and Southern current of humanism: the idea of humanist and democratic rhetoric. In this fashion posthumanism could offer interesting proposals, while starting from a rather less-than-innocent conceptual deficit, and forgetting the implications of its assumption of certain aspects of Gothic thought. In contrast, and against the idea of the tabula rasa, in this study we invite the reader to join us in re-examining Rhetoric as a democratic means of facing current problems in politics.

The article shows that Hannah Arendt's The Human Condition can be read as a veiled dispute with Martin Heidegger regarding Aristotelian praxis. On the one hand, it reconstructs the traces in Arendt's work of Heidegger's reading of Aristotle, in order to clarify that invisibilized presence that constitutes one of the key points of the dis- cussion with her mentor. On the other hand, it analyzes Arendt's reconceptualization of praxis, which involves a critique of Heidegger's interpretation and the deployment of her own conceptual framework, which goes beyond the Aristotelian perspective.

In one of his lectures at the University of Freiburg, towards the end of 1951, Martin Heidegger uttered a phrase destined to be a source of endless controversy and exegesis: «Science does not think». The lesson in which this provocative phrase appears would later be published in his 1954 book What is calling thinking?. In this article, we analyse the interpretations of this phrase, discuss its political dimension, and rethink its meaning in relation to its circularity, namely to its character as a defining device.

Martin Heidegger is, without a doubt, one of the contemporary philosophers who have more profusely meditated on the matter of the technique. For him, our time is under the unconditioned domain of the essence of modern technique (enframing: das Ge-stell) transforming the human being into a mere abstract entity devoid of any particularity and putting all possible rooting trait in question. In that direction, in the posthumous interview on the german newspaper Die Spiegel (1976), Heidegger states that he is not entirely convinced that democracy is the most appropriate political system for the current age of technique. In light of the developments described above, the present essay attempts to envision a horizon from which to set up a slot for action and production towards a political field in an era dominated by the essence of the technique and the full completion of the metaphysical project of modernity.
