Bu çalışmada
metinlerarasılık konusunda iki farklı kuramcının görüşlerinden hareket edilerek
Halit Ziya Uşaklıgil'in Ferhunde Kalfa
bulgulanmasında okuyucuya düşen görevi; diğer yandan Gérard Genette'in
Genette'in gönderge metin üzerinde
değiştirimlerin / dönüştürümlerin biçimsel ve izleksel açıdan nasıl belirlediği
araştırılarak örnek metinler üzerinde uygulanmıştır. Riffaterre'in "anlamlama"
sürecinin alımlama estetiği ile özdeşleşen yönüne değinilmiş ve Genette'in
benöyküsel dönüşüm (transposition homodiégétique) adını verdiği durumun
"anlamlama"dan farkı konusunda çıkarımlarda bulunulmuştur.
The field of memory studies has long been preoccupied with the manner in which events from the past are commemorated, forgotten, re-fashioned, or worked through on both the individual and collective level. Yet in an age when various modes of artistic and cultural commemoration have begun to overlap with and respond to one another, the dynamics of cultural remembering and forgetting become bound up in an increasingly elaborate network of representations that operate both within and outside temporal, cultural, and national borders. As publicly circulating texts that straddle the line between cultural artifact and artistic object, both musical and literary works, both individually and often in conjunction with one another, help shape cultural memories and individual experiences of those events. Troping their cultural milieux through specific aesthetic and social forms, genres, and modes of dissemination, music and literature become part of a growing global panoply of raw materials upon which we might begin to pose questions regarding the way we remember, the consequences of sharing and passing on those memories, and the aesthetic and cultural pressures attendant upon the circulation and interpretation of texts that (re-)sound the past.

This book describes and analyses a particular literary mode that challenges the aesthetics of testimony by approaching the past through detection, analysis, and 'archaeological' digging. How does forensic literature narrate the past in terms of plot, language, narration, and use of visual media? This volume examines how forensic literature provides an important corrective to the forensic paradigm and a means of exploring the relationship between visual and material evidence and various forms of testimony. This literary engagement with the past is investigated in order to challenge a forensic paradigm that aims to eliminate the problems related to human testimony through scientific objectivity, resulting in a fresh and original text in which Bøndergaard argues literature's potential to explore the mechanisms of representation, interpretation, and narration.

The studies of memory (memory studies) have developed a connection to the concept of trauma (trauma studies) and its manifestations. The literary field became a proper medium of evocation and testimony of past traumatic events. Therefore, social manifestations, traumatic measures of political regimes have all been integrated into literary works as a manner of attesting both their physical and psychological implications. Talking about the traumatic events of the Holocaust, James E. Young views such literary works as "documentary narrative" or, more specific, literature of testimony. Literary (and artistic) works related to the Holocaust are also object of Marianne Hirsch's studies. In her view, evoking and narrating traumatic events implies the usage of postmemory. Past could also be evoked, as Michel Foucault considers, through literature on the basis of counter-memory. Taking into consideration different manifestations of memory in literature, the present study aims to analyse some of the Romanian contemporary works tackling on the remembrance of the traumatic ideological intervention on the female body that the prohibition of abortions represented during the communist regime. Corporal and psychological traumas that the 770 Decree caused are related in Corina Sabău's novel And the Crickets Were Heard and also in the testimonial collective volumes Comrades of journey. The Feminine Experience in Communism (edited by Radu Pavel Gheo and Dan Lungu) and Mihaela Miroiu's (ed.) The Birth. Lived Stories. Thus, literary materialisations of memory would be observed, in order for the contemporary reader to understand the severe traumatic implications of an abusive ideological prohibition of abortion.

Memory is the construction of the past and, directly linked to experience, it is related to social, cultural, or political identities. It enables ways of understanding disputes and consensus on the meaning attributed to the past. This paper analyzes various aspects of Korean history and culture during the Japanese colonial rule of 1910–1945, as depicted in "Pachinko" (2017), one of the first novels written for the Anglo-Saxon audience on this theme. It is addressed using an analysis based on memory and history, taking into account the experiences of the Korean people exiled in Japan.
