The article presents some contributions of Wittgensteinian philosophy to philosophical theology. For this, it is divided into two moments. The objective of the first moment is the clarification of the semantics of theological discourse. We will see that, according to Wittgenstein, the significance of this discourse depends, necessarily, on the connection of doctrines with performances; in other words, theological sentences are only meaningful when they are linked to the lives of language users from a practical and evaluative point of view and not merely theoretical. By not fulfilling this criterion, the doctrine would need to be rejected or rephrased (clarifying the concept of rephrasing is also the objective of the first moment). We will see that this, shall we say, theological method, can be found, mutatis mutandis, in both the first and second philosophy of Wittgenstein. The objective of the second moment is the discussion of a case study on the doctrine of predestination. This discussion will show us how Wittgenstein himself applies his theological method, clarified by us in the first moment of the article.

In his second philosophy, Ludwig Wittgenstein offers a method by examples with intents of finally solving the philosophical problems. According to Wittgenstein, instead of searching for an essence that defines concepts, as Socrates demanded from his interlocutors, philosophers should show examples for concepts, thus responding to tradicional philosophical questions such as "What is knowledge?", "What is friendship?", "What is fair?". This article argues that Wittgenstein's method by examples could never solve for once philosophical problems, because people are different and, therefore, offer different examples for concepts, making it impossible to identify objectively the right and wrong examples. In addition, it analyses the fact that Wittgenstein disregarded such hindrance to the success of his method while formulating it. Furthermore, this work reiterates philosophers' duty to search for the essence defining concepts.
Our aim is to develop and propose a method for ANTi-historians, using analysis of controversy as thestarting point. Despite the theoretical and methodological development of the ANTi-history approach to the study of knowledge of the past and the creation of its history, there is room for method development based on controversy analysis. We ground our proposal in some of ANTi-history's assumptions (relationalism, the symmetry principle, and multiplicity) and practical concepts (translation and politics of actor-networks). In addition, we recommend four criteria that researchers should use in choosing a controversy to serve as a starting point for investigation. Finally, we present five steps for investigating knowledge of the past and the creation of history.

It is intended to offer a justification, as it seems to have been indicated by Plato in the Theaetetus, for the method of Socrates, announced in Apologia as an anthropíne sophía, able to evaluate the different types of knowledge. The recourse to the image of maieutics in the Theaetetus brings the representation of an aspect of this method, after the refutation (élenkhos), in which the examiner and midwife raises the opinions of the interlocutor until his transcendent principle, to show them or their emptiness or its strength. As we shall see, Plato's Dialogue seems not only to represent the method of Socrates, but to draw inspiration from it for the composition of his discourse, which plays with the form of seeing and with what is seen from it.

The problem of thing-in-itself knowledge in Schopenhauer's metaphysic has been traditionally faced for scholars of shopenhauerian philosophy, such as Julian Young, Paul Lauxtermann e David Cartwright. The objective of this paper is comment this one problem, but emphasizing two interpretative trends quite discussed mainly in last decade. Both trend deal with the problem of thing-in-itself from an interpretation of analogical transition Schopenhauer proposes of representation world to thing-in-itself realm. Both De Cian and Marco Segala, well as Jorge Prado, on the one hand, and Sandra Shapshay on the other, disputes about what type of knowledge, metaphoric or metonymic, this philosopher search regarding the thing-in-itself. When remaking this disputing is possible to point the distance they are of exegetic tradition that precede them; even more, to evaluate what extend they are precursory in the endeavor for specify a kind of "method", alternative to transcendental method Kantian, from which Schopenhauer would perform his metaphysic investigation. In order to insert our interpretation between those scholars, we will focus on analysis of excerpts of 'Die Welt als Wille und Vorstellung' and 'Kritik der Kantischen Philosophie', in which Schopenhauer detail more emphatically how must be understood his metaphysical approach.

The Treaty of Lisbon, in line with the failed Constitutional Treaty and in the sequence of several initiatives which had taken place, came to provide for the mechanism of permanent structured cooperation. The goal of this mechanism is to enable the arising of a vanguard of Member States, eventually ready to form the embryo of a future European Union's exclusive defence system. Although permanent structured cooperation represents a step towards the application of the "community method" to security and defence of the European Union, it doesn't still fit in that pattern. Only future can tell, if permanent structured cooperation is likely to provide the European Union with a security and defence policy based on the "community method".

Introduction: The use of stem cells for toxicological evaluations seems to be a promising strategy since it allows a greater prediction of human effects. However, in Brazil, there is no specific legislation regulating the use of stem cells for non-therapeutic purposes, technological development, diagnosis or as an alternative method to animal testing. Objective: To review the literature and to provide an overview of the current situation of the non-therapeutic use of stem cells in Brazil and in the world. Method: A non-systematic bibliographic survey was carried out bringing together scientific articles and legislation. Results: This review brings the current approach of Brazilian legislation regarding the non-therapeutic use of human material and briefly discusses international regulatory approaches that allow the non-therapeutic use of stem cells. On the other hand, the Brazilian legislation for use of blood and blood products is quite broad and mature and could serve as a model for the non-therapeutic use of stem cells or other materials of human origin. Conclusions: The encouragement of the debate by the interested bodies and entities is the first step to initiate the development of specific legislation that could allow the scientific and technological development of Brazil in order to follow the world's biotechnological advances.
