The building meets precisely the bill of requirements initially provided by the faculty. It has 18 lecture halls, a main lecture hall, a ceremonial hall, which also serves for public lectures, a library, dean's office, secretariat, chapel, seminar rooms, reading and living rooms, as well as ample corridors providing adequate space for large masses of students. The project is located in an excellent site, and is outstanding for the fine harmony of the spatial arrangements and correct differentiation of indoor environments, which are carefully adjusted to the nature of teaching requirements.

Theoretical & methodological aspects of the status quo of medical practice are analyzed. It is suggested that the relationship between medical practice & scientific knowledge is mediated by: (1) the problems of scientific research as posed by productive forces; (2) the influence on science of relations of production; & (3) the relationship between scientific knowledge & political, cultural, & social institutions at a given historic moment. The study of medical practice has been influenced by the static orientations of social science. Some general observations on medical practice are followed by comments on the Latin American situation, based on the observations of authors presenting a Marxist viewpoint on the 'new hospital industry.' It is concluded that the rigid, functionalistic approaches of traditional social science must be supplemented by research on the actual problems of medicine in Latin America. S. Whittle.

Starting with the administrative reform initiated by the government of J. Lopez Portillo (elected for the term 1976-1982) an analysis is presented of the situation of mass information media within the general structure of the new government. When Lopez Portillo took office, supervision of the media was distributed over six governmental departments, with considerable duplication of functions; he concentrated supervision under two offices: the Government Secretariat & the Secretariat of Programing & Planning. The media in Mexico are more a means of political control than of education, a conclusion supported by a historical analysis of the development of the media from their appearance in Mexico after World War II through the government of L. Echeverria (1970-1976). AA Tr & Modified by S. Whittle.

Starting out from the definition of enterprise as a material object (recurring to De Leon, Garau Riu, Coase) the author tries to draw away through historical elaboration, the specific object of enterprise economy as distinguished from that of political economy. He also tries to delimit the areas of preoccupation concerning the enterprise; thus equipped, the purpose of the book is to bring into a unit the significant items of the subject. This goal being attained he now pays attention to the specific problems and the required instruments for their solution. This book hints at revising the setting in which enterprise economy is placed, and at the revision of the interdisciplinary relations. Identifying the contents of the principal works on the subject (Gutenberg, Colbert, Bradford-Alt, Dean y Fernandez Piria) the author finds out that the so-called administrative sciences lack a unifying bond, constituting therefore interstitial sciences and techniques which specialize on particulars of enterprise economy. His conclusion is that the subject is of most recent data. The subject has a well definable formal object, and it forms part of the political theory with a basis which explains the events in the general theory. This subject only exists on account of the instrumental whole provided to it by the so-called operating investigation. ; Instituto de Investigaciones Económicas
