This study starts from the way philosophy of education was conceived by Richard Peters, how it has been amended in succeeding discussions within the Anglo-Saxon context as well has been the object of postmodern criticisms. Due to the changes in the educational area, it then asks what follows for its programme. Focusing on the debate concerning educational research it is argued that though it cannot do without addressing conceptual and justification issues, this should not be seen as a particular method. Philosophers of education write for different audiences (colleagues working in philosophy and philosophy of education), but they should not ignore those who are involved in educational practice and policy. They should therefore engage in a particular kind of 'political' research which transgresses the usual critical approach by offering also suggestions about how things could be done otherwise thus exemplifying the relevance of philosophy of education. ; El punto de partida para este estudio es la concepción de Richard Peters de la filosofía de la educación, así como las modificaciones que ha sufrido debidas a su discusión en el contexto anglosajón y a las críticas posmodernas. A la luz de los cambios actuales en la educación, esta contribución se pregunta sobre su futuro. Se argumenta, enfocándose en el debate sobre la investigación educativa, que aunque ésta no pueda evitar abarcar asuntos conceptuales y de justificación, no debe entenderse como un método más. Y aunque los filósofos de la educación escriben para audiencias diferentes (otros filósofos y filósofos de la educación), no obstante no deberían ignorar a quienes trabajan en la práctica y la política educativas. Por tanto su investigación debería ser 'política', superando el enfoque crítico usual para sugerir cómo las cosas podrían hacerse de manera diferente. Esto ilustraría la relevancia de la filosofía de la educación. ; Le point de départ de cette étude est la manière de laquelle la philosophie de l'éducation était conçue par Richard Peters, comment elle était amendée par les discussions successives dans le contexte anglo-saxon et comment elle est devenue l'objet des critiques postmodernes. Ensuite, cette contribution interroge les conséquences des changements récents dans le domaine de l'éducation pour le programme de la philosophie de l'éducation. Le débat de la recherche scientifique pédagogique prouve qu'elle ne peut pas négliger ni les concepts ni les questions justificatoires, mais que ça ne constitue pas de méthode particulière. Les philosophes de l'éducation écrivent pour des publics différents (des collègues de la philosophie et de la philosophie de l'éducation). Tout de même ils ne pourraient pas oublier ceux qui travaillent dans la praxis et la politique de l'éducation. A conséquence, ils doivent s'engager dans une recherche 'politique' qui transgresse la critique habituelle en offrant aussi des modes d'agir alternatifs. Ainsi cette approche montre l'importance de la philosophie de l'éducation.

C'est ainsi qu'on peut se demander comment forger justement la politique, l'économie et le droit autrement pour changer la manière dont l'homme habite le monde. À cet égard, l'éthique de la considération peut donner une réponse à la question de la crise environnementale pour améliorer la qualité de vie sur terre.

It is from the experience of not understanding that we will develop the outline of a reflection on what it is understanding. This experience reveals to us the desire to understand that is extended into the dialectic between the will to understand and the desire to be understood. Insofar talk is mainly to communicate with others, dialogue will serve here as a guide: it not only enables us to recall the conditions of possibility of understanding, but it highlight the nature of the duty to understand. In a second step, we will leave this pragmatic and ethical dimension of the act of understanding and its implications and we will show that the reflection about the intersubjective nature of understanding, finds its meaning in political reflection. Indeed, if it is true that language is essentially understood from the background knowledge shared by individuals, groups or communities of interpretation in a society, then the simple coexistence of a plurality of these interpretive communities requires the consideration of the claims of recognition of each of them claim in a politically structured space. There too the dialogue will be central to the experience of negativity that inhabits the act of understanding. ; C'est à partir de l'expérience de la non-compréhension que nous développerons les grandes lignes d'une réflexion sur ce que c'est que comprendre. Cette expérience nous découvre le désir de comprendre qui se prolonge dans la dialectique entre la volonté de comprendre et la volonté d'être compris. Dans la mesure où parler est essentiellement communiquer avec d'autres, le dialogue nous servira ici de fil conducteur : il nous permettra non seulement de rappeler les conditions de possibilité de la compréhension, mais encore de mettre en lumière la nature du devoir de comprendre. Dans un second temps, nous partirons de cette dimension pragmatique et éthique de l'acte de comprendre et de ses implications pour montrer que la ré exion sur le caractère intersubjectif de la compréhension, où l'on se laisse dire quelque chose par quelqu'un d'autre, ne trouve son sens que dans une réflexion politique. En effet, s'il est vrai que le langage ne se comprend pour l'essentiel qu'à partir de connaissances d'arrière-plan partagées par des individus, des groupes ou des communautés d'interprétation dans une société, alors la simple coexistence d'une pluralité de ces communautés d'interprétation exige que soit pensée la reconnaissance que peut revendiquer chacune d'entre elles dans un espace politiquement structuré. Là aussi le dialogue s'avèrera central dans l'expérience de la négativité qui habite l'acte de comprendre.

En el presente artículo efectuamos una lectura crítica de distintos posicionamientos teó- ricos respecto a la posibilidad —o no— de una filosofía materialista. Para ello tratamos de circunscribir la especificidad de una práctica teórica que dé cuenta de otras prácticas (teóricas o no) sin reducirlas a un lenguaje homogéneo o explicarlas desde un metalenguaje. En este recorrido vamos presentando entonces distintas perspectivas que nos permitirán ir desplegando nuestro propio punto de vista en torno a la posibilidad —o no— de una práctica filosófica de tal índole. ; Abstract: In the present article We realize a critical reading of different theoretical positions regarding to the possibility —or not— of a materialistic philosophy. In order to do We try to circumscribe the specificity of a theoretical practice that realizes other practices (theoretical or not) without reducing them to a homogeneous language or to explain them from a metalanguage. In this tour We present different perspectives that will allow us to present our own point of view concerning the possibility —or not— of a philosophical practice of such a nature.

El jurista y juez del Parlamento de Burdeos Jean d'Arrérac fue el autor de un tratado sobre la Irenarquía y la polemarquía publicado en 1558. Pertenece a una corriente jurídica y filosófica nueva. Intenta relacionar el antiguo realismo procedente del tomismo con un humanismo que proclama un nuevo "ius humanae societatis". Más allá de las reglas que deben regir la guerra de la manera más justa posible, plantea, en la línea de Suárez y Vitoria, los límites internos y externos de la soberanía. Estas premisas de un equilibrio entre las sociedades humanas y de una universalidad formal y jurídica participan en la fundación de las bases del derecho público internacional. ; The jurist and judge of the Parliament of Burgundy Jean d' Arrérac was the author of a treaty on the Irenarchy and the polemarchy published in 1558. He belongs to a new philosophical and legal current. He tries to relate the old realism issued from the old Tomism with a humanism that proclaims a new "ius humanae societatis". Beyond the rules that should govern the war in the fairest way it is possible, presents, in the line of Suárez and Vitoria, the external and internal limits of sovereignty. These premises of a balance between the human societies and a legal and formal universality are in the foundation of the bases of the International Public Law.
