This paper outlines the theory of knowledge John Maynard Keynes had developed in his writings. It sheds a light on a different understanding of his central notions like intuition, individual judgment, convention and logic, which is compatible with his view of uncertainty. The reconsideration of his philosophy rejects current attempts to anchor his theory of knowledge against infinite regresses of reason. The movement from categories of truth to categories of knowledge underlines the relativity of the Cambridge Philosophy, of idealisms as well as of empiricism, he already had presented in his philosophical papers. Keynes transformed orthodox categories, which enabled him to analyse economic decision- making in the light of ignorance and uncertainty.

; In 1951, John Dewey wrote a re-introduction to Experience and Nature, explicitly saying he should replace the concept of experience by the concept of culture, on which his philosophy should be based. If this choice reveals the influence of cultural anthropology over John Dewey, the current thesis demonstrates how Dewey's philosophy, and especially his political philosophy, was actually based on Hegel's philosophy of culture. Built on the concept of Bildung, Hegel's philosophy of culture is rooted in naturalism and historicism, two features that characterize Dewey's philosophy in its own way, although it also contains criticisms addressed to Hegel, and to philosophy in general. Focusing on absolutism and what he calls Hegel's political brutalism, Dewey's criticisms negate Hegel's philosophy only to better preserve it. This thesis intends to reconstruct a philosophy of culture that goes from Hegel to Dewey, making explicit the link between spirit and culture and between culture and nature as found in them. We then expose Dewey's political philosophy and his conception of democracy to show how he thinks the interaction of culture and politics in the ever-renewing goal of knowing what we do.

International audience ; From a feminist perspective, language is a primary space within gender happens. As such, language is a site of struggle and negotiation. Feminist interventions therefore take place in language (e.g. through feminisation practices). However, beyond these linguistic interventions, language is unceasingly commented, discussed, analysed in feminist circles. Focusing on what feminists say about language sheds thus light on some metadiscourses extremely political. In this paper, I provide a description of metalinguistic practices of gender within the anarchist culture, based on a corpus analysis, as well as a political analysis of some tendencies of contemporary anarchism and feminism. The study seeks to show that anarchism and feminism are cultures of discourses, understanding discourse as a place of power. I argue that some tendencies of anarchism, feminism and rhetoric shares an epistemological complicity through an understanding of discourse and society as heterogeneous (vs. systemic), and semiotic, and an understanding of the discursive production of knowledge in the lenses of power relationships ; Le féminisme a depuis longtemps identifié la langue comme un lieu primordial de la fabrique du genre, et donc comme un lieu de lutte.

This thesis proposes a sociohistorical analysis of the event Lille 2004, European Capital of Culture, of its local genesis in the 1980s-1990s until its contemporary repercussions on Lille's cultural policy and on certain professionals involved in its production. It shows that, in addition to the territorial and economic benefits, which are tirelessly claimed if not precisely documented, these major events are accompanied by transformations rather localized on the side of the production of cultural public policies, inviting to go to see their conditions of manufacture and the accompanying processes of politicization. This research is based in particular on a documentary analysis conducted from a varied corpus (first of all, on municipal and national archives entirely unpublished), conducting interviews with different categories of actors involved in the organisation of Lille 2004 and/or in the elaboration of Lille cultural policy, as well as direct observations during the events and openings of a triennial edition of Lille 3000, then in the cultural office of Lille city. In contrast to the performative narrative highlighting the idea of a « turning point » for local public action and territorial development, the thesis first shows that the event proceeds from previous mobilizations of local actors and is part of the extension of cultural actions initiated under the mandate of Pierre Mauroy. The second part of the thesis shows that, far from being limited to a « territorial affair » resulting solely from the investment of elected officials, management representatives, or cultural programmers, who are particularly inclined to stage their capacity for initiative, Lille 2004 is made possible by and negotiated with the State. Finally, it is necessary to comprehend in the third part some « effects », generally ignored, of this reorientation of the cultural policy post Lille 2004. We thus examine the restructuring of the Directorate-General for Culture of Lille city and the pertaining professional reconfigurations, an opportunity to show how much culture is becoming the object of increased politicization. The activity of the agents of the municipal cultural pole is thus marked by a « double dependence » with regard to these elected officials and the professionals of culture of the association Lille 3000, which suggests the confrontation of professional ethos.
