Die Verhaftung Augusto Pinochets, die Abweisung seiner vermeintlichen Immunität durch die Law Lords und zuletzt die Weigerung des britischen Innenministers, ihm das Auslieferungsverfahren zu ersparen, haben bei den Opfern der Diktatur wie bei den bedingungslosen Anhängern des Generals eine Welle der Emotionen ausgelöst und für politische Krisenstimmung gesorgt. Neben einem Bericht über Reaktionen in Chile werden Interviews mit der Anwältin Fabiola Letelier, der Schwester des 1976 ermordeten Politikers Orlando Letelier, mit dem Madrider Anwalt Carlos Slepoy und mit dem chilenischen Soziologen Tomas Moulian wiedergegeben. Pinochet y la justicia

La repercusion mundial que ha adquirido el caso del general Augusto Pinochet, las fuertes emociones que ha despertado, desde el llanto de felicidad de algunos hasta la furia amenazante de otros, y la seguidilla de paradojas patente en el viaje del canciller chileno a Londres para defender en nombre de su gobierno, a quien en el pasado lo persiguio y lo obligo al exilio, son solo algunos de los aspectos de un caso complejo y multifacetico, que despierta la pasion y obliga a la razon. El debate en torno a la detencion del dictador chileno ha rebasado con mucho el estricto ambito juridico, para ramificarse, veloz y apasionadamente, al politico y al historico, al de las relaciones internacionales y la etica.
