La esfera pública digital y el activismo político ; The digital public sphere and the political activism
; The development of digital technologies has fostered basic transformations in the public sphere, reflected in the typology of media outlets, forms of organization, orientation of actions, and its increasingly globalised scale. Activism and Civil Society: Broadening Political Participation
In recent years, we have witnessed the emergence of political activism through an irruption of citizen movements – 5M or Occupy–, the birth of new political platforms –5 Stelle, Zyrisa, Podemos– and the rise of new direct action groups, such as Anonymous, Stop-Evictions Movements, cooperatives, to name just a few. In some countries this activism has not just placed substantial pressure on traditional actors of representative democracy and governments, but has also opened up opportunities for structural changes in the policymaking context and procedures (García Marzá, 2012).

Return. Use of repetition and political activism in artwork ; Retornos.
This work analyzes the relation between two contemporary works and two publications. On the one hand, the series Violencia (1972) by Juan Carlos Romero and the namesake book from 1977, re-edited in 2014; then the series López (2007) by Lucas Di Pascuale, along with the 2019 publication Cartel. The cases work with the compositional devices of quotation and repetition. The reading seeks to account for the historicity in the use of aesthetic procedures, as well as the recurrences of meaning and their variations. From here we raise the question of the validity of compositional procedures, specifically regarding their collective vision and their emancipatory horizons. By considering these materials, the conceptualist strategies from the 1970s are connected with those after the 2000s. In this sense, this reflection includes the temporality of the stabilization of the digital environment and its subsequent tension with fixed media. Between both anchors, the material story proposed by these objects is analyzed.

; Abstract: This study analyses the change in the internal organization of government parties. Privacy, emotion and political activism in the post-migrant theatre of Sasha Marianna Salzmann ; Intimidad, emoción y activismo político en el teatro posmigrante de Sasha Marianna Salzmann
As Pavis (2016) argues, privacy has resurfaced in different forms and names in the current theatre. This work breaks down some of these forms of privacy and emotion in theatre studies, and then analyse their presence and articulation in the monologists of two works by Sasha Marianna Salzmann (n.1985): Muttersprache Mameloschn (2011) and Meteoriten (2016). The examination of Salzmann's modestes — who is one of the representatives of the so-called post-migrant theatre in Germany — shows that privacy in their works is not only about reversing the economy of the representativeness of minorities in a multicultural society. The emotion here abandons its traditional association with 'pathos' and 'inability to act' (Didi-Huberman 2016) and represents a form of political activism, building theatre as the smallest cell of a fairer society (Salzmann 2015). This article analyzes the diasporic media discourse on Venezuelan immigrant communities in Canada. A quantitative/qualitative content analysis was applied to 61 news articles from two Latin American newspapers in Toronto between 2017 and 2018. This analysis showed that diasporic media have developed narratives that categorize Venezuelan immigrants based on their search for political recognition. Both newspapers have created a relatively homogenous description of Venezuelan immigrants and refugees defined by political activism and affiliation as key elements of identity and belonging to the so-called Venezuelan diaspora. The power of the massive traditional means and the digital platforms in the political activism
; The research analyzes political activism and public opinion on the digital platforms Facebook and Twitter and traditional media in the context of the Colombian-Venezuelan crisis due to the closure of the border and the Santos-Timochenko meeting in Havana. To this end, an observation blog was designed that was applied for four consecutive days to the twitter accounts of 36 political leaders and the most important media in Colombia. Parallel to this, the 10 political groups that Facebook registered the largest number of members were analyzed. Among the findings is that activists in social networks do not act on their own. These are manipulated by opinion leaders through the traditional media that constitute with social networks a mediating circuit for power relations and social transformations.
