POPULATION ÉLECTORALE, POPULATION ÉLECTORALE POTENTIELLE, POPULATION TOTALE DANS LA RÉGION RHÔNE-ALPES, par FRÉDÉRIC BON et BERNARD DENNI
Les données du recensement de 1975, établies dans la région Rhône-Alpes au niveau des circonscriptions législatives, permettent de considérer à nouveau la question de l'inscription électorale. Il apparaît que l'indice de non-inscription sur les listes électorales croît, en général, en fonction directe du dynamisme démographique. Comme l'abstention, la non-inscription serait liée à l'anomie sociale. On constate, en outre, des différences sensibles entre la composition par catégorie socio-professionnelle de la population active totale et celle de la population électorale. Ce phénomène affecte essentiellement la proportion d'ouvriers. Il contribue à expliquer la faiblesse de l'implantation de la gauche dans des circonscriptions qui ne sont ouvrières qu'en apparence.
