Peculiarities of Application of the EU General Data Protection Regulation for Artificial Intelligence Rapid development and widespread application of artificial intelligence (AI) technology lead to the collection and use of an infinite amount of personal data, which, without adequate safeguards and supervision, at a global level poses a challenge to individuals' rights to privacy and data protection. Given that 90% of global data have been created over the last five years, appropriate adaptation is inevitably necessary from a data protection regulatory perspective. A particular step in the area of data protection has been taken by the adoption of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR). Tightened data privacy rules have not only begun a new phase of data protection regulation in the EU but have also become an example and a starting point for other legislators and technology developers around the world. In the context of AI, data protection by design and by default and automated individual decision-making, including profiling, clauses are of major importance in GDPR regulation. Nevertheless, the principles of lawfulness, fairness and transparency, purpose limitation, data minimization and data subjects' right to be forgotten and the right to data portability also have a significant impact on the AI processing of personal data. The first part of the thesis addresses the issues of definition of AI, differences in privacy and data protection concepts, reveals the need for AI regulation, assesses regulatory progress and measures in the EU, Lithuania and the US. The second part of the work focuses on GDPR as a source of AI regulation, discusses key regulatory features and preconditions for the application of regulation to AI. The third part of the thesis assesses the impact of the application of GDPR principles on AI, followed by the study of specific rights of the data subject and the obligations arising therefrom for an entity using AI. The work is limited to the analysis of the most problematic aspects of GDPR for the regulation of AI.

Research object - Visibility and its properties. Research aim - To study the impact of the processes of the digital environment and technologies in the sphere of big data on user experience. Reproduce the motion from the point of visibility to the point of invisibility. To stimulate a user to form new standards of the digital environment. Research objectives: Reveal and describe the visibility and its qualities based on a scientific review; consider the main problems of the phenomenon of visibility, surveillance, supervision based on theoretical materials; study modern surveillance tools and their impact on privacy; characterize the development of the digital environment, identify the features of interfaces and user behavior; describe the transition state between the two points of visibility; explore user experience trends in the era of big data; perform a discourse analysis of social networks to determine the general level of digital literacy and articulate existing problems; based on personal experience and the materials studied, point out false ways to solve the problem; state my vision for solving the problem, outline the vector of development, provide an action plan. Combining individual artistic research and qualitative empirical research, this Master's Thesis focuses on changes in user experience and cybersecurity issues. Using qualitative methods for analyzing the comments on the Internet, field observations of users, content and media analysis of interfaces, as well as reflecting on my experience, the conclusion has been made: due to constant changes and adaptations within the digital environment, active integration of neural networks and other high technologies, the position within the visible-invisible continuum changes. Visibility implies security and privacy, and invisibility is a potential threat. The user's desire to preserve privacy in an era of ubiquitous surveillance drives the movement towards invisibility. However, due to the response of service developers striving for profit, being at the point of invisibility for a long period is currently impossible, as the process is cyclical with every action being followed by the counteraction. Discourse analysis and user observations revealed a low awareness among people of digital literacy and security issues, which leaves the issue of collecting and trading personal data acute. Media and content analysis of interfaces, user flow, and web-sites content revealed the ability of service developers to bypass legislations and third-party software such as ad blockers and anonymizers. The existing popular solutions to the problems of the digital environment are not effective, and in some cases even contribute to parasitism on users. Within the framework of the research, two visions of solving the problem were proposed: blurring digital identity and increasing articulation of new digital environment standards. The Master's Thesis may be useful for researchers of the digital environment, techno-sociologists, developers, as well as ordinary Internet users.

Master's thesis analyzes Lithuanian e-health regulation using the comparative method by analysing legal frameworks of European Union, United States of America and Australia. Due to the different international legal frameworks of e-health, it was concluded that the European Union is entering a rapid step towards unification by initiating Personal data protection regulation project, also an existing legal framework for electronic health record in United States of America is based on the strict laws of security and privacy setting, as well as Australia, which recently implemented Personally controlled electronic health record by a separate law, was found that the current Lithuanian e-health regulation is not sufficient due to the lack of legislation and it is necessary to adapt current legal framework on the basis of European Union and international practice.
