World Conference on Design, Arts and Education (DAE) -- MAY 01-04, 2012 -- Antalya, TURKEY ; WOS: 000316256000078 ; The purpose of this study is to determine relationship between art and politics. the study was carried out as a case study approach and realized with seven volunteer participants who have idea about both art and politics. Data were gathered with semi-structured interview form. Content analysis was used to analyze the data. At the end of the study, it was determined that art contributes politics in different areas such as critical thinking, aesthetic, directing societies, providing peace and order. Also it has been obtained from the study that art specific politics is directly proportional to with art' world view or beauties human-specific. Also, it was determined that artists should have a say in politics, but artists gone into politics cannot act as an artist as they before did. on the other hand, it was determined that art and artist affects societies without reflect a political opinion and preserving own artistic identity. It was recommended that art must inform society about communal, social and economic problems. Both artists and politicians must be leading in order to reach art's deserve position or target expected. This thesis looks at the relationship between art and politics. It produces concepts that embrace the unstable impurity of artistic and political distinctions, identifying an interstitial plasticity between these fields. Extending Deleuze's cinematic language, it unfolds as a four-stage montage of diverging authors, traditions and ideas. Chapter One reviews how the artistic-political relationship has been discussed through two historically dominant perspectives: 'art for progress' and 'art for art's sake.' By examining the principles behind them, inherited from Plato and Kant and criticized by Nietzsche and Derrida, the chapter emphasises how despite efforts to conflate or isolate art and politics, an unstable region of cross-contamination between them persists within both perspectives. Chapter Two proposes Derrida's concept of the frame as a figure of the constitutive, co-implicating in-between, examining its artistic and political applicability with reference to texts such as Danto's Artworld and Derrida's Politics of Friendship. Through a critique of the artistic and political frame of metaphor, Malabou's motor-schema of plasticity is proposed as a necessary addition to this liminal figure in between art and politics. Chapter Three considers the in-between of art and politics as situated within a continuous landscape of plastic folds. Through this image, it elaborates a differential, generative plasticity in-between continuous artistic and political singularities. In light of Nancy, Deleuze, Bergson and Massumi's concepts of creative movement and event, a neuronal image of complex relations emerges to contextualise the artistic and political relation. Chapter Four examines subjective transformations in between art and politics in relation to the mittelglied of judgement. With reference to Nancy, Zask, Bal and Malabou, it reconceptualises the mutations of artistic and democratic spaces after accounts of neuronal trauma and resilience. PurposeThe purpose of this paper is to: consider the extent to which recent research in industrial and organizational (I&O) psychology has examined the symbiotic relations between organizations and society; review the societal changes affecting organizations and individuals; and offer directions for future research.Design/methodology/approachTwo researchers reviewed and categorized topics published in the key journals in the field during the period 2008‐2010 including: Journal of Applied Psychology (JAP), Personnel Psychology (PPsy), Organizational Behavior and Human Decision Processes (OBHDP), and the Journal of Managerial Psychology (JMP). There was considerable agreement on the categorization of topics in the journals.FindingsThe results of the review revealed that the majority of topics published in these journals focused on enhancing organizational effectiveness, and relatively few studies concentrated on social issues. In particular, 21 percent of articles in JAP and PPsy, 12 percent of articles in OBHDP, and 56 percent of articles in JMP emphasized social issues.Research limitations/implicationsOnly four journals in the field were reviewed, and a more thorough review of research in all journals is needed.Practical implicationsThe review has implications for understanding the impact of societal changes on organizations and individuals, and for developing new human resource policies and practices.Social implicationsThe review indicated that more research is needed on social issues.Originality/valueThe paper adds unique value to the literature because it stresses the symbiotic relation between organizations, and society, highlights the importance of social issues, and offers directions for future research.

The relationship between the Church (religion) and politics is a very important matter to be discussed both in the academic sphere and in the scope of society in general. The relationship is different from time to time as the relationship between the two raises a polemic. This is due to the understanding that the field of service the church must be restricted to theological matters. On the other hand, there are those who hold that church activities cannot be narrowed only to abstract / theological matters. The church must instead show its concern on social issues that are very concrete, for example political issues.
