En este artículo se ofrece una interpretación comprensiva de la relación entre las principales organizaciones políticas de izquierda y el movimiento estudiantil-popular de 1968 en México como punto de inflexión. Primero, más allá de las visiones instrumentalistas, situamos las aportaciones que realizaron dichos organismos al movimiento y la participación empírica que tuvieron en él a fin de poder comprender su influencia directa. Segundo, de acuerdo con los resultados de su involucramiento, recuperamos los principales retos políticos que el movimiento planteó y la manera en que dichas organizaciones los abordaron en su práctica política subsecuente. Por eso descentramos la mirada de la guerrilla situándola en el conjunto de las expresiones de la izquierda. Establecemos así una línea de continuidad entre la izquierda anterior y posterior a 1968 bajo la tesis de que el fenómeno experimentado fue una recomposición y no propiamente una ruptura radical que diera nacimiento a la llamada nueva izquierda. Finalmente, pensamos que una reinterpretación del proceso en esta clave nos arroja pistas para la comprensión de la izquierda mexicana actual.

Se ofrece una reflexión de la pena de muerte, que parte de premisas esenciales desde la bioética y los derechos humanos. Se plantean algunas generalidades de esta disciplina, dado que orientan a un cuestionamiento respecto al aporte de la ciencia y la tecnología para llevar a cabo "ejecuciones más humanas". Enseguida se recurre a los conceptos de vida, persona y dignidad para enmarcar el argumento en los derechos humanos. Se retoman algunas sentencias de documentos internacionales apelando a un desarrollo del hombre desde la ética: la práctica de la pena máxima, por el contrario, lo retiene. Así pues, se anticipa que lo humano nunca se hallará en la aniquilación de su propio género.

<span class="fontstyle0">Este artículo aborda un problema persistente en la teoría y en la ciencia política: la naturaleza de la relación entre democracia, derechos humanos y Estado. Para hacerlo incursiona en la teoría y en la política contemporánea. Se sitúa esta discusión en tres corrientes principales: </span><span class="fontstyle2">1) </span><span class="fontstyle0">la que sostiene que los derechos humanos y la democracia están unidos necesariamente, </span><span class="fontstyle2">2) </span><span class="fontstyle0">la que afirma que la democracia es un derecho humano, y </span><span class="fontstyle2">3) </span><span class="fontstyle0">la que sostiene que los derechos humanos pueden realizarse en ausencia de democracia. En las tres teorías se revisa la relación entre moral, política y derecho teniendo a la vista los obstáculos al desarrollo de los derechos humanos y de la democracia en el Estado contemporáneo.</span><br /><br />

The aim of the research is a comprehensive analysis of the problem of protecting property rights against a terrorist threat and finding ways to solve it. The article deals with the main problems of protection of property rights under conditions of external military aggression in Ukraine. The authors, with the example of a separate case, analyses the problematic aspects of renewing and granting property rights to citizens residing in the temporarily occupied territory of Ukraine. Methodologically, it is a documentary research. It is concluded that the law and judicial practice of the protection of property rights in the example of the right to compensation for damaged homes may prove insufficient on its own. The weaknesses of Ukrainian legislation in compensation for damage caused to citizens in conditions of armed conflict and terrorist activity are discussed in detail. Finally, it emphasizes the role of transitional justice in improving the law and practice of resolving disputes overcompensation for moral and material damage under the conditions of occupation of certain territories of Ukraine.

In today's world the relationship between criminal law and human rights remains complex, both in doctrine and in practice, as evidenced by the various realities and theories around this matter, so it is convenient to reflect on the most viable ways and methods to humanize criminal law and criminal procedure to preserve human dignity. The purpose of the text lies in presenting the editorial of the special edition of Vol. 39, No, 70 of Political Issues. The arguments outlined allow us to conclude that, it would be illusory to suppose, as some jurists think, that the law by itself is sufficient to build a wall of contention in the face of the actions of the arbitrary powers that constitute an obstacle to fundamental rights, it is also necessary the political will of the actors of power to comply with and enforce the law in a human and rational way and, especially, the organized action of a citizenry willing to fight for the exercise of their human rights within the framework of any punitive action.
