Girbal-Blacha, N. (2003). ; From single individuals to social actors, from society to social networks, from macro to micro analyses, Social Sciences have renewed themselves in the last fifteen years. They have quickly mutated their objects and ways of research, in a context of crisis, but also of interdisciplinary work, of changes in the scale of observation. The disappearance of great paradigms modifies the science conception in itself. (J. Le Goff) These sciences must, as in other times or, perhaps, more acutely than in other circumstances, achieve an important aim. They have to carry on a precise diagnosis of inequity and actual crisis, to contribute to a pluralist and interdisciplinary debate in order to solve definitely the most grave effects of this extended crisis which not only has economic aspects but social, institutional, cultural and political sides. Social Sciences must tackle the task without the aid of references, that seem to be non-existent. In order to recover collective memory the challenge lays in reviewing, from today, the roads trodden in the past, inside and outside national limits, trying to contribute to a national reconstruction.

This article tries to articulate certain drifts in 'social psychology of science' with different contributions from 'feminist studies of science.' This is done in a reflexive aim in order to analyze how gender structures intersect the practices of psychological knowledge production. In this process sexual subjects and objects of psychological knowledge are constructed. It is also stressed, the relevance given in feminist epistemologies to the analysis of subjectivities conformation in the production of science. As well as, to the role of diverse subject-knowledge-positions and its necessary democratic inclusion for a more objective and social fair science-psychology.
; Fifty years after the Division of Palestine, the Israeli society witnesses the development of critical thought in the Social Sciences. This is so in several study areas, especially in History and Sociology, from where the "New Historians" have started to participate in debate. These historians critically analyse the socio-political structure of the State and break with some of its foundational myths, namely: the voluntary escape of Palestinians, the exceptional "human moral" of Israeli soldiers in combat, the outstanding superiority of Arab armies and the willingness for peace on the part of Israeli governments.

; The disciplines of social intervention (and the whole field of social sciences with more or less virulence) are never free from their fundmential crises. In these crises we find the relationship among epistemological weakness and extrascientific reliances that are basically political. In social work the loss of credibility of the transforming political horizons has led to a flight away from scientific reafirmation, at times as furious as intellectually feeble. Our contribution proposes a certain conception of dialectics which constitutes a reference point for the understanding of the relationship and tension between scientific and political commitments in social work practices, while avoiding ideologizing conceit in its politizing and positivist versions. Ciencia y revolución parecían condenadas a enfrentarse. ; [EN] In 1894 Cesar Lombroso culminated his political determinism with the publication of his book Gli anarchici. The work of this Turin professor undoubtedly became, wheter intentionally or not, an effective coercive instrument, wielded by a powerful borgeois class against the revolutionary anxieties promoted by the working class in Europe at the end of the XIXth century an in the first decades of the XXth century. Science and revolution appeared condemned to confrontation this aspect of Lombrosian doctrine had a widespread influence in the Spain of the turn of the century, theses against which the Spanish acrasy movement reacted vigorously and decisively. For its part the Spanish criminal anthropological movement showed on this occasion its displeasure towards the determinist postulates and in opposition to an oligarchic society which resorted to the oracle of science in demand of justice and protection from anarchic terrorism. ; Peer reviewed

The historical success of sciences and their tendency to extendt hemselves universally to all of realityis a fact. In order to understand their sense, they should be referred to acultural (rational) project, whose presuppositions ought to be judged in accordance with a reason conceived both as practical (ethical-political) and speculative (philosophical). E. Weil's rigorous thought is here compared in all of these points with high-ranging positions: only after going through Hegelian, Marxian and Weberian positions he intends an original reappropiation of Kantian insights.
