Este texto trata das transformações que atingem as políticas de proteção social no contexto da crise capitalista contemporânea e seus desdobramentos no trabalho do assistente social. Problematiza o trabalho do assistente social evidenciando por inteiro sua condição como trabalhador assalariado que vende sua força de trabalho em troca de um salário. O texto também analisa os constrangimentos a que eles se veem submetidos diante dos processos de intensificação e precarização do seu trabalho nos espaços institucionais públicos e privados onde exercem atividades de elaboração, gestão e execução de programas e serviços sociais.

Der Arbeitsbericht befaßt sich mit vier Perspektivmöglichkeiten von Kriminalität als sozialer Indikator. Der Autor setz sich nacheinander mit den Indikatoren Integration, Randgruppendasein, Opfersein und Stigmatisierung auseinander. Der erste bezieht sich auf die moralische Einheit einer Gesellschaft und der zweite auf die Grenzen des materiellen Wohlstandes und der Lebensbedingungen. Der dritte Indikator bezieht sich auf das Risiko ein Opfer der Kriminalität zu werden und der vierte auf die Reaktion des Staates gegen Gesetzesbrecher. Abschließend stellt der Autor anwendbare Empfehlungen für spezielle Indikatoren vor und begründet sie. Es handelt sich dabei um Tötung, Überfall, Einbruch, Raub und Inhaftierung. (US)

Technical aid to the under-developed countries may have important side-effects on the internal soc structure of the receiving community, contrary to the desired goals of the projecters. It may generate tensions & soc conflict between existing & emerging factions of the community. This is shown re some case studies from the Indo-Norwegian Fishing Project in Kerala. Technical assistance is defined as a process by which the donor tries to transfer goods & services to a receiver with a diff culture, & where some of the items are already accepted as valuables, but are scarce goods. The goods & services introduced from the outside are considered as stimuli for action & split into 2 components (1) capital: mechanized boats, fishing nets, subsidies & loans & (2) value-set: the soc'ization of habits, skills & att's necessary for the operation of the new equipment. It is shown that the unequal reception of the new technology by the diff parts of the community in some cases have increased rather than reduced the inequality of living standards which existed prior to the introduction of the aid program & have accelerated econ growth in that part of the pop which already for some time had been in a process of their own econ development. The possibilities of changing the opinions and values of that group of the community which does not react adequately to the new stimuli are discussed. Modified AA.

Das derzeitige Wahlsystem zum Deutschen Bundestag weist einen schwerwiegenden Defekt auf: Mehr Stimmen für eine Partei können dazu führen, dass diese weniger Sitze erhält - das sogenannte negative Stimmgewicht. Das Bundesverfassungsgericht hat den Bundestag aufgefordert, bis Ende Juni 2011 diesen Fehler durch eine Änderung des Wahlrechts zu beseitigen. Hierzu gibt es eine Vielzahl von Möglichkeiten. Dieser Artikel unternimmt den Versuch, mögliche Änderungen aus Sicht der Social Choice-Theorie zu beurteilen. Hierzu wird ein einfaches System von Bedingungen an Wahlen vorgestellt, anhand dessen die bisherigen Lösungsvorschläge systematisiert werden. Dabei stellt sich heraus, dass es kein Wahlsystem geben kann, das gleichzeitig all diesen Bedingungen genügt. Dennoch lassen sich unter den existierenden Änderungsvorschlägen solche identifizieren, die mehr wünschenswerte Bedingungen erfüllen als andere.

Résumé Compte tenu de l'évolution de la « question sociale » et des modalités de l'action publique, plusieurs enquêtes sociologiques réalisées par Sociétude, en Midi-Pyrénées, reconnaissent des aménagements innovants et parfois complaisants, aussi bien de la part des travailleurs sociaux que des travailleurs précaires, qui viennent bousculer les repères traditionnels. Et les actions collectives entre les uns et les autres font évoluer leurs rapports sociaux jusqu'à des formes de solidarités apparentes mais encore largement clandestines.

Dietmar Daths Roman DIE ABSCHAFFUNG DER ARTEN (The Abolition of Species) inszeniert eine Revolution der Verhältnisse zwischen Menschen, Tieren und Maschinen. Im Artikel wird besonders die Verbindung evolutionsbiologischer, informatischer und nanophysikalischer Technologien mit Möglichkeiten ihrer politischen Aneignung aufgezeigt, die für den Text konstitutiv ist und ihn zugleich mit aktuellen Fragen, etwa dem ‹Transhumanismus›, vernetzt. Geschlechtertheoretisch betrachtet zeigt sich dabei, dass die im Roman dargestellten Welten teils ödipalen Geschlechtermodellen verhaftet bleiben, andererseits aber als Produkte eines homosexuellen Begehrens dargestellt werden, das anthropomorphe Repräsentationen des Geschlechts auflöst. Der Roman lotet zudem das poetische Potential bioinformatischen und physikalischen Wissens aus, wie etwa anhand der Verknüpfung von Anagrammdichtung und genetischem Code gezeigt werden kann. Unsere These ist, dass dabei durch den Einsatz bestimmter Medien und Genres letztlich eine politische Aktivierung der LeserInnen erreicht werden soll. ; Dietmar Dath's novel Die Abschaffung der Arten (The Abolition of Species) enacts a revolution in the relationships among humans, animals, and machines. This article demonstrates the connection between technologies of information, evolutionary biology, and nanophysics and their political appropriation, which is constitutive for the text, linking it to current issues such as ‹transhumanism›. From the perspective of gender theory, it turns out that the fictional worlds of the novel partially reproduce oedipal gender roles but are also presented as a product of homosexual desire, dissolving anthropomorphic representations of gender. The novel furthermore explores the poetic potential of bioinformatic and physical knowledge, as can be shown with respect to the connection between anagram poetry and genetic code. We argue that the use of certain media and genres ultimately intends a political activation of the reader.
