The sacralization of politics and politization of the sacred occurred between 1936 to 1943 thanks to the war and the religious persecution. Franco gained power and became a god-like dictator.
Compared to the rest of Western Christianitas, the process of sacralization of war in twelfth-century Norway shows some peculiar features. Although here too factors such as the cult of military or warrior saints, the defence of justice, of the patria and the Church led to the sacralization of certain types of wars, the Norwegian context differs in the centrality attributed to King Óláfr Haraldsson the Saint († 1030), national patron. Óláfr is indeed a saint who not only provides aid in battle to his successors, but in an age of civil wars is also invoked as dux and commander by Magnús Erlingsson, the legitimate ruler, and by his rival Sverrir Sigurðarson, who declare themselves to be miles and standard bearer (merkismaðr) of the saint, respectively. Ultimately, both parties claimed a special bond with the rex perpetuus Norwagie as a source of legitimation, justification and sacralization of their own cause.

; The musical drama "Giulio Cesare" (1935) by Gian Francesco Malipiero (after Shakespeare's Tragedy of Julius Caesar and dedicate to Mussolini) and "Giulio Cesare" (1939) by Riccardo Malipiero Jr—an unpublished set of incidental music for Nino Guglielmi's drama 'for Theater of Masses'—are here observed through the rhetoric of romanity and the 'Mussolinian Caesarism' during the last decade of the Fascist era. Besides considering their cultural and performative context and the relationship between art and power in this age, these two works are analyzed through the historiographical approach of 'Sacralization of politics' and, in musical terms, through topic theory in order to demonstrate the existence of a 'romain musical texture'.
Civil religion: uses and misuses of a concept. The analysis of the concept of "civil religion" shows an ambiguity caused by the mix between religion and morality, and religion and politics. The idea behind is the sacralization of politics in order to assure its autonomy from historic religions. Civil religion supporters individuate in this cultural position two positive results: the opening of politics to transcendence and the ethical legitimation of communitarian linkages. The article examines these two aspects, in the light of constitutionalism, human rights and current pluralism. The conclusion is that the concept must be considered misleading.
This article envisages to problematize the sacralization of the fundamental concepts of the modern Constitutionalism, from which the system of constitutional democracies derives. We aim at criticizing this system, while seeking ways to rethink the paradoxes caused by the blind and inflationary use of its supporting ideas as a means of domination. We propose to reveal some dimensions of 'unjustified' violence, whether concrete or symbolic violence, held by constitutional democracies at the internatonal level and at the national level. Then, we focus on the legislative and punitive facets of the Brazilian constitucional democracy, by highlighting domestic 'unjustified' violence, since the endemic violation of human rights inside the country's prison system has recently inspired a judicial innovation: the rulling of the 'unconstitutional state of affairs' by the Supreme Court.
