This study describes the psychological dynamics of Pesantren Salafiyah Syafiiyah Pekalongan early childhood students, which focused on their parenting, cognitive development, emotional and social behavior. Qualitative research data was obtained by interview, observation and documentation. The results of this study reveal: (1) caregivers parenting style were both on authoritarian and democratic. (2) types of parenting and child motivation on boarding school contribute to cognitive and psychosocial development of the child. Students who split up his guardian, and cared for on semi-authoritarian way will be less reasoning person, slow psychomotor skills, and less socialize. In contrast to students whom their parents support them and want their children to be good at lessons will master general science, able to memorize the Koran, and be better person.
Wayang Santri are one of the types of puppets who initiated by Ki Enthus Susmono. Wayang santri consists of plays played by wayang golek. In the stage, Wayang Santri always show the themes of Islamic teachings to explore the local problems and pack them in speech 'ngapak' language. One of the typical utterances in the puppet performance is the 'ana landa endase ireng'. The term is initially a medium of communication with the audience to always be alert to colonialism committed by Indonesian citizens. It found its political significance in 2013, when Ki Enthus Susmono became a candidate for Tegal Regent. It became a political style representing itself as a candidate for bupati who sided with the people. Messages delivered through langgam 'ana landa endase ireng' able to present the figure of Ki Enthus as a candidate for Regent anti-colonial and deliver Ki Enthus As the Regent Selected 2013-2018. This article will explain the meaning of ngapak language in wayang santri associated with the Election of Tegal Regent.
Penelitian ini berangkat dari keterlibatan pondok pesantren dalam permasalahan partai politik. Adanya keterlibatan ini karena terdapat campur tangan politik di dalam pesantren. Penelitian ini meneliti bagaimana hegemoni kyai terhadap afiliasi santri dalam Pilbup Lamongan 2015 di Pondok Pesantren Sunan Drajat. Menggunakan penelitian kualitatif dianalisis dengan teori hegemoni yang dikemukakan oleh Antonio Gramsci, hegemoni merupakan pengaruh dari Kyai yang diawali adanya kekuasaan. Hegemoni ada tiga jalur untuk mengarahkan santri yaitu hegemoni jalur agama, hegemoni jalur pendidikan dan hegemoni jalur kebudayaan. Tujuannya untuk mengetahui kebijakan kyai terhadap politik santri, mengetahui afiliasi santri dalam pemilihan bupati dan mengetahui bentuk-bentuk hegemoni kyai terhadap santri. Penelitian ini menggunakan penelitian kualitatif dianalisis dengan teori hegemoni yang dikemukakan oleh Antonio Gramsci. Subjeknya merupakan Ustadz dan alumni santri. Teknik analisis data dalam penelitian ini Teknik wawancara dan observasi. Hasil dari penelitian menjelaskan terjadi hegemoni kepada santri untuk mengikuti arahan dari seorang Kyai yang dianggap lebih berkuasa dalam menyampaikan asumsi. Kata kunci: Kekuasaan, Hegemoni, Pondok Pesantren.
Posisi politik santri dalam perkembangan politik nasional pasca Sidang Istimewa (SI) MPR 2001, belum banyak berubah, kecuali posisi NU dengan PKB-nya yang akan ditentukan bagaimana mereka menyikapi hasil SI-MPR tersebut. Megawati Soekarnoputri yang naik menjadi presiden ke-5 RI didampingi oleh Hamzah Haz sebagai wakil presiden yang oleh banyak pihak dipandang mewakili golongan santri modernis, walaupun ia sebagai warga NU. Kepemimpinan nasional saat ini dilihat banyak pihak sebagai representasi "koalisi" Islam-nasionalis. Jika tesis tentang "koalisi" baru tersebut mengkristal, mungkin akan banyak persoalan yang dihadapi oleh aktivis politik santri modernis, dan tentunya Muhammadiyah pada tataran perpolitikan di daerah.
Dengan kemenangan Joko Widodo – Ma'ruf Amin dalam Pemilihan Presiden 2019, ulama kembali menempati posisi penting dalam pemerintahan Republika Indonesia. Pertanyaannya, apakah dengan terpilihnya Ma'ruf Amin sebagai Wakil Presiden itu akan mendinginkan perpolitikan nasional yang selama ini sering terbelah antara kubu nasionalis dan Islamis? Apakah tampilnya Ma'ruf Amin, yang merupakan mantan rois 'am NU, sebagai bagian dari ashabul qoror (penentu kebijakan) akan bisa menghilangkan berbagai kebijakan yang kurang berpihak dari pemerintah terhadap minoritas atau justru melahirkan sektarianisme baru? Dua pertanyaan inilah yang ingin diangkat oleh artikel ini.
Pondok Pesantren have contributed a lot in national development, including in terms of creating an independent workforce. One of them is to equip santri with entrepreneurial competencies. The aim of the study was to reveal the Kyai's strategy in empowering entrepreneurship of santri, Kyai's leadership style in empowering santri entrepreneurship, and the implications of Kyai's leadership in empowering santri entrepreneurship. A qualitative approach to the type of multisite case study was applied in the study. Data was collected by conducting in-depth interviews, participant observation and documentation studies. Data analysis uses data reduction, data presentation and conclusion drawing. The technique of checking the validity of research findings using triangulation of data sources and data collection techniques. The results showed that the strategies implemented by the Kyai in empowering santri entrepreneurship were carried out by giving an example of entrepreneurship, providing field learning, giving assignments in the pesantren business unit and providing motivation; the leadership style applied is a blend of democratic, transformative and charismatic leadership styles; the implication is that santri have a spirit of entrepreneurs.
The purpose of the study is to find out How identity politics conducted by santri's. Through a qualitative approach with the subject amounted to 2 people. The results of this study prove that both subjects developed their political capacity through parliamentary struggle and amoeba political strategy by spreading to strategic posts. In addition there is a unique identity that santri have when plunging in politics, where identity as a santri is a pride because it has more value than other politicians who plunge in politics. In addition to this, politics is also regarded as a way of worship and khodamul ummah, not solely because of the position.
Islamic boarding schools are places where students learn to gain knowledge and religion, theylive in Islamic boarding schools to learn about everyday life, but nowadays Islamic boarding schoolsare included in the campaign area of political figures to seek votes, because in Islamic boardingschools it is identical if the students will obeying the Kiai's fatwa, this is used as an excuse toseek voices for political actors so that Islamic boarding schools are used as campaign areas indemocratic parties. This study aims to identify the Kiai's recommendations for students regardingpolitical choices in 2019, knowing the responses of students and analyzing the motives of studentsin the 2019 presidential election. This study uses a qualitative method using a phenomenologicalapproach. Alfred Schutz's theory was used to find out the motives of the santri to resist the Kiai'sfatwa. The results showed that there were several reasons why students did resistance, namely thefamily of students who supported other pairs of candidates, and students who felt disturbed by thecampaign in the Islamic boarding school environment. santri said that the Islamic boarding schoolwas often visited by political actors to ask for prayers from the Kiai, and continued with campaignsduring the teaching and learning process. Kiai gave advice to choose one of the pairs of candidates,namely Prabowo Subianto, but in reality the students did resistance by choosing a candidate pairthey believed in.Keywords: Resistance, Islamic boarding schools, President's Choice, Politics.
This article is a historical analysis about the politics of santri. The role and involvement of santri in politics is not a new phenomenon, although the quality and quantity in each political episode is different, but the process and dynamics of Indonesian politics, can not be separated from the involvement of santri. This position is in line with the actual political map of Indonesia. The involvement of santri can describe in four times of the history of Indonesia, namely the pre-independence era, the early of independence until the end of the old order, the new order, and reform era. The fourth periodicity are used to read and analyze the tides of gait of santri in the political world.
This research is motivated by the change and development of radical ideas which in the end appear takfiri or other people infidelity. Meanwhile, the condition of consolidation and coordination between ulama, santri and regional level government is deemed not optimal enough to stem the ideas that damage the integrity and unity of the Republic of Indonesia. The purpose of this study is to describe how to identify radical understandings and groups in Indonesia, how to strengthen and revitalize the function of mosques according to the teachings of Rasulallah and the efforts made by students to make mosques more effective as a means of da'wah. The method used in this research is qualitative, the type of research is a field study in processing the data based on the results of observations, interviews, and study documentation. The results of this study are, first, the existence of a database of congregations and scholars to identify the potential and religious understanding that develops in the community. Second, increasing the human resources of mosque takmirs with various programs and activities that support the progress of the mosque. Third, increased communication and coordination between institutions affiliated with community organizations whose roles are undoubtedly in building this nation and state, such as Nahdlatul Ulama and Muhammadiyah and other institutions that have the same vision and mission. Fourth, regeneration of the younger generation and fostering scholars by providing an understanding of the wasathiyah movement (read: moderate) in the face of radicalism and fostering moderate religious understanding Abstrak Penelitian ini dilatar belakangi oleh terjadinya perubahan dan perkembangan faham radikal yang pada akhinya muncul konsef takfiri atau mengkafirkan oranglain. Sementara kondisi konsolidasi dan koordinasi antar ulama, santri dan pemerintah tingkat daerah dirasa kurang maksimal untuk membendung paham-paham yang merusak keutuhan dan persatuan Negara Republik Indonesia. Adapun tujuan dalam penelitian ini yaitu untuk mendeskripsikan bagaimana mengidentifikasi paham dan kelompok radikal yang ada di Indonesia, bagaimana memperkuat serta revitalisasi fungsi masjid sesuai ajaran Rasulallah serta upaya yang dilakukan santri untuk mengefektifkan masjid sebagai sarana dakwah. Metode yang dipakai dalam penelitian ini yaitu kulitatif, jenis penelitiannya yaitu study lapangan dalam mengolah datanya berdasarkan dari hasil observasi, wawancara, dan study dokumentasi. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu, pertama, adanya database jamaah dan ulama unntuk mengindentifikasi potensi dan paham keagamaan yang berkembang di lingkungan masyarakat. Kedua, Peningkatan SDM takmir masjid dengan berbagai program dan kegiataan yang menunjang kemajuan masjid. Ketiga, Peningkatan komunikasi dan koordinasi yang dilakukan antar lembaga-lembaga yang terafiliasi dengan organisasi masyarakat yang sudah tidak diragukan lagi peranannya dalam membangun bangsa dan negara ini seperti Nahdlatul Ulama dan Muhammadiyah maupun lembaga lain yang mempunyai kesamaan visi dan misi. Keempat, Kaderisasi generasi muda dan pembinaan ulama dengan cara memberikan pemahaman gerakan wasathiyah (baca: moderat) dalam menghadapi paham radikalisme serta pembinaan pemahaman keagamaan yang moderat
Islamic boarding schools are known as the oldest Islamic educational institutions in Indonesia. The Iarge number of Islamic boarding schooIs in Batanghari Regency, as well as the large number of students in each pesantren make this institution a major contribution to deveIopment. The roIe of the poskestren is a form of community-based health efforts (UKBM) in the boarding schooI environment, with the principle of, by and for the boarding school residents. This study aims to determine the behavioral determinants of students in the formation of heaIthy students in Islamic boarding schooIs in Batanghari Regency. This study is a quantitative study with a cross-sectional design. This study invoIved 98 respondents who were seIected by the Proportional Random Sampling technique to be interviewed. Data anaIysis was univariate, bivariate with Chi square and muItivariate with logistic regression. The results showed that 46.9% of respondents had poor student behavior in impIementing poskestren. There is a reIationship between perceived barriers (p-vaue: 0.011) perceptions of self-efficacy (p-value: 0.047), the infIuence of teachers/ustadz (p-vaIue: 0.007), the infIuence of heaIth workers (p-vaIue: 0.020) and the behavior of students. Perceived benefits (p-vaIue: 0.210) did not have a significant reIationship with the behavior of students. The factor that had a strong infIuence on the behavior of students was the influence of teachers/ustadz with an Odds Ratio (OR= 0.323. 95% CI 0.143–0.822). There is a need fr management training and the formation of HeaIthy Santri.
Wayang Santri di Kabupaten Tegal tidak saja sebagai entitas pertunjukan budaya yang menghibur. Ia juga berperan penting sebagai instrument moderasi agama. Wayang Santri kerap tampil dengan materi agama untuk merespon persoalan kekinian dengan sudut pandang yang khas pesantren dan berbahasa ngapak. Persoalan social, politik, dan keagamaan diteropong dengan sudut pandang local berbasis kajian santri yang berkarakter lunak. Para penonton yang penulis sebut sebagai ???komunitas santri??? adalah mereka yang oleh Ki Enthus Susmono diajak untuk terus menjaga kearifan local dalam beragama dan bermasyarakat dalam setiap pertunjukan wayang santri maupun pengajian yang dihadiri Ki Enthus. Karena bagi Ki Enthus Susmono santri bukanlah mereka yang belajar di Pesantren, tapi mereka yang mau terus belajar, mengintrospeksi diri, terus membenahi diri, membebaskan penderitaan orang lain dan bermanfaat bagi sesama. Di tengah maraknya arus radikalisme agama, Wayang Santri mampu menahan laju radikalisme melalui jalur pertahanan kultural, membuat masyarakat percaya diri untuk beragama dengan tetap menghidupkan kearifan local dalam beragama dan menghindari konflik horizontal atas nama agama.
Thanks to Clifford Geertz, the terms and concepts of abangan, santri, and prijaji have become familiar and frequently used by students of Javanese history, politics, and society. While he did not invent them, Geertz is responsible for their earliest and most thorough development as explicit and interrelated concepts, as seen most notably in his The Religion of Java and The Social History of An Indonesian Town. These studies are based upon his academic work as an anthropologist and his intermittent field work in "Modjokuto", Java, from May 1953 to September 1964.
Pada dasarnya penelitian ini hendak mencermati peran televisi dalam pengembangan nilai-nilai demokrasi khususnya di kalangan santri. Berdasarkan dari tujuan penelitian tersebut, penelitian ini dimulai dengan mencermati intensitas ekposure media televisi yang dilihat dari bagaimana frekuensi konsumsi media itu sendiri yang nantinya akan berkaitan dengan pengembangan dan pemahaman nilai-nilai demokrasi. Perbedaan latar belakang pendidikan yang dimiliki responden yang nantinya berkaitan dengan pengembangan dan pemahaman nilai-nilai demokrasi juga menjadi sesuatu yang menarik untuk dicermati. Metode survey digunakan dalam penelitian ini. Adapun sampel diambil dengan cara purposive random sampling, khususnya berkenaan dengan lokasi dua pondok pesantren di Yogyakarta yakni pondok pesantren modern Muhammadiyah Boarding School Yogyakarta dan pondok pesantren Abu Bakar Ash Shiddiq Yogyakarta. Kemudian individu sampel diambil dengan cara insidental yang keseluruhan sampel berjumlah 100 orang. Adapun analisa data menggunakan teknik analisa Kendall Tau. Penelitian ini menemukan kenyataan bahwa (1) Kedekatan santri pondok pesantren modern Muhammadiyah Boarding School Yogyakarta dan pondok pesantren Abu Bakar Ash Shiddiq Yogyakarta dengan media televisi sebagai media untuk pengembangan pemahaman mengenai nilai-nilai demokrasi masih rendah; (2) Latar belakang pedidikan ternyata memang berpengaruh terhadap penilaian tentang peran televisi dalam pengembangan pemahaman mengenai nilai-nilai demokrasi; (3) Meskipun cenderung lemah, peningkatan jumlah konsumsi televisi memang berpengaruh pada persetujuan bahwa televisi berperan dalam penumbuhan pemahaman mengenai nilai-nilai demokrasi.; (4) Pemahaman mengenai nilai-nilai demokrasi baik pada santri pondok pesantren modern Muhammadiyah Boarding School Yogyakarta dan pondok pesantren Abu Bakar Ash Shiddiq Yogyakarta cukup mumpuni.
