The article analyzes quantitative and qualitative data related to the activities of non-governmental organizations of Ukrainians in Estonia, including the structure of umbrella organizations, sources of funding, frequency of cultural events, their content and attendance. A comparison with the number of members of informal online associations of Ukrainians in Estonia, as well as with official demographic statistics, shows that there is significantly low coverage of the Ukrainian community by the services of Ukrainian diaspora organizations in Estonia. Based on a survey of members of informal online associations of Ukrainians in Estonia, it is shown that despite the general awareness of the goals of diaspora non-governmental organizations, primarily young immigrants with little experience in the country feel the dissonance between the activities of these non-governmental organizations and their needs, which leads to negative views on the activity of organizations of the Ukrainian diaspora in Estonia and weak involvement in the life of the local community. At the same time, the extensive network of Ukrainian diaspora organizations in the country, the availability of basic funding for those organizations from the Estonian government and material and technical support, long experience and relevance of issues related to the Ukrainian community in Estonian society, became a necessary prerequisite for a rapid and positive response of Estonian society to the significant influx of Ukrainian refugees who arrived after the full-scale invasion of Ukraine by the Russian Federation and the active mobilization of Estonian society to help war survivors.
"Culture, religion, gender identity and sexual orientation play an important role in patients' and professionals' care preferences and communication. Population diversity leads to differing moral perspectives regarding health, wellbeing and care practices. This can generate value conflicts between patients and professionals concerning what good care is. Accordingly, increasing societal pluralism creates novel challenges for professionals regarding how they ought to deliver equitable and diversity-responsive care to minority populations. To support professionals in dealing with moral issues related to cultural, religious and sexual diversity in long-term-care organizations, we developed an ethics support instrument called the Diversity-Compass. The Diversity-Compass is a low-threshold instrument designed to help professionals in addressing and dealing with situations in which moral conflicts pertaining to diversity occur. We employed a participatory design and conducted seven focus groups (n=55), five expert interviews (n=5) and facilitated four meetings with a working group of various care professionals (n=18) who developed and tested preliminary versions of the instrument through iterative co-creation. Resulting from this process the Diversity-Compass emerged. Next to offering a question-based, reflection-invoking conversation method, the instrument includes seven specific tips to support professionals when engaging in conversations about diversity-related moral issues with patients or other professionals. Our study is an example of how bioethicists can provide clinical ethics support by using a participatory design and co-creatively developing an instrument to aid professionals in dealing with moral issues related to cultural, religious and sexual diversity in long-term care. The Diversity-Compass can be used by organizations and professionals to promote good, diversity-responsive care. "

; ABSTRACT In recent years, Spanish society is giving the importance that actually has to the affective-sexual diversity. Female partners of men who have sex with men are a poorly studied group. Secondary analysis of the Ukrainian data gave the conservative number of such women as the range 10,700 to 43,000 persons. The article presents the results of the data analysis from the women's subsample of a pilot a cross-sectional study of bisexual men and their female partners was conducted in 2013 in five Ukraine cities. 101 women were interviewed according to a standardized questionnaire, and 10 semi-structured interviews were recorded. The obtained data characterize the female partners of behaviorally bisexual men as a relatively young and mostly socially prosperous group with a completed education, having experience of cohabitation with men, as well as ready for sexual experiments and independent of the older generation. Confrontation with the bisexuality of the partner stimulates a change in perceptions of the relationship models between different genders and promotes the conscious choice of one's own family life model with sensitivity to both members of the partnership's needs. Most women interviewed characterize their relationships positively, although the stage may influence it in the relationship with the man before coming out of a bisexual and the rigidity of their own perceptions of gender roles. Limited communication with others, lack of sources of social and psychological support in crisis moments of life together may indicate socially disadapted status of heterosexual couples in which at least one partner is bisexual. This study's main limitations are the small and non-random sampling and recruitment of respondents through their husbands or regular male partners who were open in their own non-heterosexuality.

The persecution ofpeople who practicedoridentifiedwith anon-normative sexuality, especially in keyplaces of socialization, resulted in organization and activism. This politicizationof identitiesis a process thatcontinuesto rebuild itselfand is part of theCosta Rican sociallandscape.

Despite legislative and social advances for the inclusion of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and intersex (LGBTI) individuals in Ecuadorian society, LGBTI individuals continue to face discrimination in the workplace. Faced with this situation, organizations have a responsibility to implement practices capable of restraining discrimination and violence and of promoting a culture of peace. This study proposes a series of inclusion measures based on information provided by 15 Ecuadorian lesbian, gay and bisexual (LGB) workers. Thus, we propose that by means of recruitment processes that attract diversity, training workshops to reduce prejudices and stereotypes, socialization events for workers, greater participation of LGB individuals and the establishment of anti-discrimination norms, it is possible to conceive a culture of inclusion of diversity in which there is a peaceful coexistence among workers, regardless of their sexual identity.
This article analyzes two cases from a gendered perspective: the lives of political activist Harvey Milk and novelist Reinaldo Arenas, public figures of the 1970s in the United States and Cuba res¬pectively, each of whom experienced harassment against gay communities, in two very different contexts but during the same historical period.
; The purpose of this paper is to reflect on the heteronormative logic that mainstreams relationships between the different actors constituting the university community (whose incongruity is expressed in everyday practice) and to raise the need to recognize and re-signify the relationships with people with non-hegemonic sexual orientations and gender identities as a fundamental aspect for achieving gender justice. Which involves people, education institutions, and society in general. Although the emphasis is placed on non-hegemonic sexual orientations and gender identities, a complex epistemological perspective is assumed in which gender and sexuality are intertwined with other patterns of domination such as ethnicity, race, social class, age, among other.
"Gender, sex and sexuality are separate, distinct parts of people's overall identity, and are not always obvious or easy concepts to understand. Sexuality is about how you see and express yourself romantically and sexually. Gender refers to an internal sense of identity, while sex refers to the identity assigned to a person at birth based on physical characteristics. There are lots of ways to describe sexuality and gender, a number of which are captured by the term LGBTQIA+. Many LGBTQIA+ people face discrimination and prejudice that can affect their health, wellbeing, rights and opportunities. This book explores a range of issues across the sexual identity and gender diversity spectrum, including issues such as coming out and disclosure, being an ally to LGBTQIA+ people, and addressing the human rights of the LGBTQIA+ members of our community. Not everyone's identity and orientation is black and white. Learn how to acknowledge all people's true colours with acceptance and understanding, and without prejudice." -- introduction.
