This project intends to explore the complex effects of colonialism, independence and migration upon the socio-political dynamics of South Pacific cultures, through the study of their literatures in English and visual art. The main aim of this work is to interrogate the way women are represented in the post and neocolonial contexts of the Pacific, focusing mostly on Hawaii, Samoa and Tahiti, in order to investigate the diversity and similarities in the way the female body becomes both objectified and commodified, but also a site of subversion through which another perspective of history can be told and validated. It will examine the obsession with Polynesian (female) sexuality within the Western (European and American) discursive practices of representation, the internal gender politics of Polynesian societies (its similarities and differences), and the influence of Western education (from the first contact to the present), media and consumer capitalism (tourism and commodification of cultures) upon Polynesian young population. In relation to this, it will pay attention to the concerns and impact of globalization and diaspora culture within contemporary Pacific literature, art and theory. ; Este proyecto pretende analizar los efectos complejos del colonialismo, independencia y migración sobre las dinámicas socio-políticas de las culturas del Pacífico Sur, a través del estudio de sus literaturas en lengua inglesa y arte visual. La finalidad principal de este trabajo es interrogar los modos de respresentación de las mujeres en los contextos post- y neo- coloniales del Pacífico, centrándose mayoritariamente en Hawai, Samoa y Tahití, para investigar la diversidad y semejanzas en la manera en que el cuerpo femenino deviene cosificado y comodificado, pero también un lugar de subversión por el cual se puede obtener y validar otra perspectiva de la historia. Examinará la obsesión con la sexualidad feminina polinesia en las prácticas discursivas de representación occidentales (europeas y americanas), la política de género interna de la sociedades polinesias (sus semejanzas y diferencias), y la influencia de la educación occidental (desde el primer contacto hasta el presente), de los medios de comunicación y del capitalismo consumista (turismo y comodificación de las culturas) sobre las nuevas generaciones polinesias. Health-related stigma is associated with a diversity of communicable and non-communicable diseases and has a resounding effect on the lives of the persons affected, their families, and the society-at-large. In order to effectively address the issue of health-related stigma, it is important to acknowledge its multidimensionality in regards to its existence in a diversity of diseases, the complex intersection of its experiences with that of other social oppressions, and the presence of positive agency among those who are stigmatized. Further, there is a wider call to bring together the knowledge and resources on stigma response from different disease-specific silos to build a unified and integrated stigma reduction approach. Through the exploration of lived experiences of people living with four stigmatized health conditions (HIV, leprosy, schizophrenia and diabetes) in Indonesia, this study aimed to answer the following research question: How can the multi-dimensionality of health-related stigma be understood across the different health conditions, and what is the possibility of a common response to address stigma across different health conditions in Indonesia? This thesis adopted a transdisciplinary research (TDR) approach based on the interactive learning and action (ILA) framework. The studies in this thesis used Socioecological model (SEM) as an overarching multi-level framework to explore the multidimensionality of stigma. The studies and their findings within this thesis have been presented in three parts: Part 1: Understanding the experience of health-related stigma Part 1 of this thesis looked into filling the evidence gap on comprehensive understanding of the experience of health-related stigma across different health conditions, and its intersection with other social inequalities and oppressive identities. First, it showed that people living with the four NCDs can also experience stigma owing to their health condition. Second, it found that stigma originates in the macro and meso levels, while manifests as personal experience in the micro level. It also found that the origin of stigma may be different across health conditions owing to the disease-specific features, the prevalent norms and stereotypes surrounding the disease, and the systemic conditioning that perpetuate and reinforce it. Third, it found that adversities related to gender, socioeconomic status religion, age, comorbidity, disability, and sexuality of participants intersected with health-related stigma in different socioecological levels. Part 2: Overcoming health-related stigma Part 2 of this thesis focused on personal agency and explored the strategies employed by positive deviants to avert stigma in their lives and improve their health-related quality of life. First, the findings uncovered the existence of problem-solving ability and personal agency among stigmatized individuals living with the four health conditions in the form of positive deviance. Second, it found that positive deviance was a determinant of physical, psychological, and social QoL of people living with stigmatized health conditions in Indonesia. Part 3: Prospects of common health-related stigma reduction response Part 3 investigated the prospects of a common response to address health-related stigma across different health conditions by investigating the cross-perspectives of individuals with different health conditions, and finally designing and implementing an intergroup training to foster understanding, collaboration and stigma reduction. First, it found that people living with stigmatized health conditions saw value in coming together for a common cause, and expressed willingness to participate in a common stigma reduction intervention. Second, the training was helpful in improving intergroup perception, willingness to collaborate, and mitigation of felt-stigma among the participants . Conclusion The prospects of collective action and agency among people living with stigmatized health conditions, combined with multifaceted initiatives from the government, civil society, and public health agencies seem to be the way forward to effectively combating health-related stigma in Indonesia, and possibly elsewhere.

This work reflects on the construction of feminism and the so-called "gender ideology" as strategic enemies of New Right movements and the potential of feminisms to abolish the status quo. Within this framework, we will examine the discourses created to show the danger that the "gender ideology" would represent for Western, capitalist, and Christian civilization, placing such discourses in the dispute over biosocial reproduction, in which feminist struggles question the hierarchies among genders, sexuality, family, and the ways of working promoted by right-wing movements. Additionally, the gender issue will be explored in its complex relationship with certain Marxist insights and the political power of anti-capitalist feminist groups. These groups, besides making demands to the State in terms of rights, stand against the expropriation and exploitation of reproductive labor, which is crucial for the accumulation of capital. In this context, we wonder if such feminisms could not only shake patriarchal structures and the traditional concept of family, but also enable the creation of ways of living that do not obey the economic, sex-generic and racial hierarchies that the New Rights will try to protect at any price. ; Este trabajo reflexiona sobre la construcción del feminismo y la 'ideología de género' como enemigos estratégicos de las nuevas derechas y la potencialidad de los feminismos de abolir el estado de cosas existentes. En ese marco, se analizan discursos que buscan mostrar el peligro que representaría la 'ideología de género' para la civilización capitalista, occidental y cristiana; se los sitúa en la disputa en torno a la reproducción biosocial, en la cual las luchas feministas cuestionan las jerarquías entre los géneros, la sexualidad, la familia y los modos del trabajo que las derechas defienden. A su vez, la cuestión del género será indagada en su relación compleja con ciertos marxismos y con la potencia política de los feminismos anticapitalistas. Estos últimos, además de realizar demandas al Estado en términos de derechos, objetan la expropiación y explotación del trabajo reproductivo, que es fundamental para la acumulación del capital. En ese contexto, se pregunta si estos feminismos no solo pueden hacer tambalear al patriarcado y a la familia tradicional, sino también habilitar la producción de formas de vida que no obedezcan a las jerarquías económicas, sexo-genéricas y raciales que las nuevas derechas buscan defender a toda costa. ; Neste trabalho, é refletido sobre a construção do feminismo e a "ideologia de gênero" como inimigos estratégicos das novas direitas e a potencialidade dos feminismos de abolir o estado de coisas existentes. Nesse âmbito, são analisados discursos que procuram mostrar o perigo que a ideologia de gênero representaria para a civilização capitalista, ocidental e cristã; são situados na disputa acerca da reprodução biossocial, na qual as lutas feministas questionam as hierarquias entre os gêneros, a sexualidade, a família e os modos do trabalho que as direitas defendem. Por sua vez, a questão do gênero é indagada em sua relação complexa com certos marxismos e com a potência política dos feminismos anticapitalistas. Estes últimos, além de realizarem demandas ao Estado em termos de direitos, visam à expropriação e à exploração do trabalho reprodutivo, que é fundamental para a acumulação do capital. Nesse contexto, pergunta-se se esses feminismos não somente podem debilitar o patriarcado e o conceito de família tradicional, mas também habilitar a produção de formas de vida que não obedecem às hierarquias econômicas, sexo-genéricas e raciais que as novas direitas buscam defender a todo custo.

Introduction This study analyses the responses on the web to the publication of the newspaper Metro Ecuador about the interruption of a performance of "A rapist on your way" in a square in Santiago de Compostela (on December 11, 2019). Objective. The study focuses on the interactions that are established with a user after he makes a comment in defense of the feminist manifestation. Methodology. One hundred and twenty-four interventions are analysed using the thematic analysis methodology in six phases. With this methodology, four categories of analysis of the interventions were generated: refusal addressed to the sender's message, refusal addressed to women and feminism, support to the initial message and rejection of sexist comments. Results. The results show that most of the interventions, carried out by men, reject the "alliance" of this man with women; rejection is carried out through direct or indirect aggression, by questioning his gender, sexuality, motivations of the comment, or attacking and discrediting him, among other strategies. The interventions also lead to attacks against feminism as a political movement and against feminist women; in addition, women in general will be attacked, mocking the traditional roles attributed to gender and justifying macho behaviour, among other things. There is only a minimum of supportive arguments, which revolve mainly around the empathy that generates the possibility that this happens to "your mother, daughter, sister" or sexist defence arguments (protection for being the "weak gender"). Conclusions and discussion. This analysis contributes to reflecting on the impossibility that, in a patriarchal culture, men could abandon the position of competence against women and be solidary with feminist struggles, since in doing so they receive a "call to order" by members of their gender. ; Introducción. El presente estudio analiza un intercambio de respuestas en la red a raíz de la publicación del diario Metro Ecuador de la noticia sobre la interrupción de una performance de "Un violador en tu camino" en Santiago de Compostela (11 de diciembre de 2019). Objetivo. El estudio se centra en las interacciones que se establecen con un usuario después de que éste realiza un comentario en defensa de la manifestación feminista. Metodología. Se analizan 124 intervenciones usando la metodología del análisis temático en seis fases. Con esta metodología se generaron cuatro categorías de análisis de las intervenciones: negativas dirigidas al emisor, negativas dirigidas a las mujeres y al feminismo, de apoyo al mensaje inicial, de rechazo a los comentarios machistas. Resultados. Los resultados evidencian que la mayor parte de intervenciones, realizadas por hombres, rechazan la "alianza" de este varón con las mujeres; el rechazo es a través de la agresión, directa o indirecta, cuestionando su pertenencia al género, su sexualidad, las motivaciones del comentario, o agrediéndole y desacreditándole entre otras estrategias. Las intervenciones dan lugar también a ataques al feminismo como movimiento político y a las mujeres feministas; se agredirá además a las mujeres en general, burlándose de los roles tradicionales atribuidos al género y justificando conductas machistas. Solo existen un mínimo de argumentos de defensa, que giran principalmente alrededor de la empatía que genera la posibilidad de que esto suceda a "tu madre, hija, hermana" o argumentos de defensa sexistas (protección por ser el "género débil"). Conclusiones y discusión. Se reflexiona sobre la imposibilidad de que en una cultura patriarcal los hombres abandonen la postura de antagonismo hacia las mujeres y se solidaricen con las luchas feministas, puesto que, al hacerlo, reciben un "llamado al orden" por parte de los miembros de su género.

El objetivo de este artículo consiste en deconstruir ciertos imperativos heteronormativos consolidados en Argentina durante el siglo XX alrededor de dos enfermedades de transmisión sexual. La estrategia metodológica fundamental utilizada se concentra en el análisis discursivo y contextual de los dispositivos legislativos instaurados en este país para hacer frente a dos enfermedades de transmisión sexual que, si bien compartieron la centuria, su emergencia y purulencia estuvieron distanciadas en el tiempo de aparición: la sífilis y el SIDA. Al respecto, el texto se enfoca sobre las discursividades jurídico-políticas organizadas en torno a ellas con el propósito de echar luz sobre la funcionalidad de la normativa sanitaria de ambas en los mandatos de sexualidad dominantes. Y, de la misma manera, exhuma el rol imputado a las disidencias reforzadoras —según la ortodoxia— del esquema de normalidad/anormalidad sexual. En definitiva, desde una perspectiva que involucra gran parte del siglo XX, el presente artículo explora el enfoque biopolítico sobre el cual se sustentó la regulación en Argentina, hacia la década de 1930, de las enfermedades venéreas —emblema, por entonces, de la heterosexualidad— con la sífilis en un lugar protagónico; y, en los años de 1990 del SIDA, asociado inicialmente a la homosexualidad. ; The goal of this article is to deconstruct some heteronormative imperatives which were consolidated in Argentina during the 20th century. The fundamental methodological strategy used focuses on discursive and contextual analysis of the legislative mechanisms established in this country to deal with two sexually transmitted diseases that, although they shared the century, had an emergence and purulence which were distant in time: syphilis and AIDS. In this regard, the text focuses on the legal-political discursivities organized around them to shed light on the functionality of the health regulations of both to the dominant sexuality mandates. And, in the same way, exhumes the role attributed to dissent reinforcing —according to orthodoxy— the sexual normality/abnormality scheme. In short, from a perspective that involves much of the twentieth century, this article explores the biopolitical approach on which the regulation was sustained, by the 1930s, of venereal diseases —then an emblem of heterosexuality— with syphilis in a leading position; and, in the 90s of AIDS, initially associated with homosexuality. ; O objetivo deste trabalho é desconstruir certos imperativos heteronormativos consolidados na Argentina do século XX. A estratégia metodológica fundamental centra-se na análise discursiva e contextual dos dispositivos legislativos instituídos nesse país para tratar de duas doenças sexualmente transmissíveis que, embora partilhassem o século, o seu surgimento e purulência as separaram no tempo: a sífilis e a AIDS. Nesse sentido, o texto enfoca as discursividades jurídico-políticas organizadas em torno delas, a fim de lançar luz sobre a funcionalidade das regulações sanitárias de ambos aos mandatos dominantes da sexualidade. : This paper intends to analyse different biographic illustrated books for children and young readers who show the life of Federico Garcia Lorca: on one hand, picture books by Diaz Plaza and Bayes, Navarro and Vila; López Narváez and Rodríguez,Gibson and Zavala and Sánchez and Casas; on the other hand, graphic novels by: Hernández and El Torres, Javierre and Cabrera, Esquembre, Gibson and Palomo and Martín Segarra. The target of this work consists of analysing how the homosexuality of the poet has been portrayed in order to highlight the didactic possibilities to introduce and familiarize not only the relevant of Federico Garcia Lorca, but also the controversial topic of homosexuality not only in primary lessons, but also in secondary schools. Despite legislative progress related with LGBTQ rights, sexuality is still silenced considered a taboo, for this reason queer pedagogy defends the necessity of introducing in the everyday lessons the reality of LGTBQ people. Learning about Lorca, includying his homosexuality provides the possibility of takle queer culture. Serán analizados los álbumes ilustrados de de Díaz Plaza y Bayes, Navarro y Vila, López Narváez, Gibson y Zavala y Rodríguez y Sánchez y Casas y las versiones de cómic de Hernández y El Torres, Javierre y Cabrera, Esquembre, Gibson y Palomo y Martín Segarra. Se dirige la mirada hacia el modo en que ha sido tratada la homosexualidad del poeta, para poner en evidencia, las posibilidades didácticas de estas obras en las aulas tanto de primaria como de secundaria y bachillerato, con el fin de introducir y familiarizar al alumnado de la figura del poeta granadino, pero también para introducir el tema de la homosexualidad. Un tema que a pesar de los avances legislativos, sigue siendo un tabú en las escuelas, es por ello que la pedagogía queer defiende la necesidad de introducir en el discurso educativo la realidad que viven las personas LGTBQ. Estudiar la vida de Lorca, lo que incluye su homosexualidad, facilita la posibilidad de introducir la diversidad afectivo-sexual y de género. De esta manera se consigue cuestionar algunos de los estereotipos y las ideas preconcebidas que todavía siguen vigentes en las escuelas. ; Este trabalho tenta abordar as diferentes obras biográficas do poeta Federico García Lorca em uma versão ilustrada. Serão analisados os álbuns ilustrados de Díaz Plaza e Bayes, Navarro e Vila, López Narváez, Gibson e Zavala e Rodríguez e Sánchez y Casas e as versões cômicas de Hernández e El Torres, Javierre e Cabrera, Esquembre, Gibson e Palomo e Martín. Segarra. A maneira pela qual a homossexualidade do poeta foi retratada é analisada para destacar as possibilidades didáticas desses trabalhos, a fim de apresentar e familiarizar os alunos de a figura do poeta de Granada, mas também para introduzir a questão da homossexualidade. Um assunto que, apesar do progresso legislativo, continua sendo um tabu nas escolas, e é por isso que a pedagogia queer defende a necessidade de introduzir a realidade de que as pessoas LGBTQ vivem no discurso educacional. O estudo da vida de Lorca, que inclui sua homossexualidade, facilita a possibilidade de introduzir diversidade afetivo-sexual e de gênero. Dessa forma, é possível questionar alguns dos estereótipos e idéias preconcebidas que ainda são válidos nas escolas.

There are concepts or conceptions about reality that frequently permeate the development of thoughts and life in their everyday or factual evolutions. In this sense, the person who begins to train in the tasks of philosophical inquiry often faces the responsibility of confronting and questioning those notions in the form of preconceptions that block the transition to comprehension and interpretation which characterizes all inquiries and research tasks. In this case, the possibility of distinguishing the characteristic contents of naturalistic ideologies, from those that are peculiar to the immanentist or tragic philosophies, may arguably impact on the dialogic tensions that current cultures are passing through today when the desire is revealed in order to restore totalitarian orrelativistic positions in relation to areas of human life and thought as diverse as politics, religion, gender, sexuality, ethnicity, race, among others. The task for the person who is training in philosophical inquiry consists to a great extent, in warning that the philosophical concepts become alive when they allow the vital interlocution constantly proposed by the contingencies inherent in any historical period. Indeed, some issues can be felt in the atmosphere of a time; they are also found in tangible interwoven of human existences. ; Existen conceptos o concepciones sobre la realidad que permean asiduamente el despliegue del pensamiento y la vida en sus devenires cotidianos o fácticos. En este sentido, quien comienza a formarse en los quehaceres de la investigación filosófica, encara con alguna frecuencia la responsabilidad de confrontar aquellas nociones que, bajo la forma de precomprensiones, obstruyen las transiciones comprensivas e interpretativas propias de toda tarea investigativa. En este caso, la posibilidad de distinguir el contenido característico de las ideologías naturalistas, de aquellas otras que le son propias a las filosofías trágicas o inmanentistas, quizá pueda incidir argumentalmente en las tensiones dialógicas que hoy atraviesan a las culturas cuando se pone de manifiesto el deseo de reivindicar posiciones totalitarias o relativistas en relación con esferas de la vida y del pensamiento humanos tan diversas como la política, la religión, el género, la sexualidad, la etnia, la raza, entre otras. La tarea de quien se forma en investigación filosófica consiste, en buena medida, en advertir que los conceptos filosóficos logran vivificarse cuando ceden a la interlocución vital que les proponen constantemente las contingencias propias de todo lapso histórico. En efecto, algunos asuntos se palpan en la atmósfera de un tiempo determinado; también se encuentran en las tramas tangibles de las existencias humanas. ; Existem conceitos ou concepções sobre a realidade que permeiam assiduamente o desdobrar do pensamento e a vida, em seus devires cotidianos ou fáticos. Neste sentido, quem começa a formar-se nos afazeres da investigação filosófica, se depara, com alguma frequência, com a responsabilidade de confrontar aquelas noções que, sob a forma de pré-compreensões, obstruem as transições compreensivas e interpretativas próprias de toda tarefa investigativa. Neste caso, a possibilidade de distinguir o conteúdo característico das ideologias naturalistas, daquelas outras que são próprias às filosofias trágicas ou imanentistas, quiçá, possa incidir argumentalmente nas tensões dialógicas que hoje atravessam as culturas, quando se manifesta o desejo de reivindicar posições totalitárias ou relativistas em relação com esferas da vida e do pensamento humanos tão diversos, como a política, o gênero, a sexualidade, a etnia, a raça, entre outras. A tarefa de quem se forma em investigação filosófica consiste, em boa medida, em advertir que os conceitos filosóficos conseguem vivificar-se quando cedem à interlocução vital que lhe propõem constantemente as contingências próprias de todo lapso histórico. Com efeito, alguns assuntos se apalpam na atmosfera de um tempo determinado; também se encontram nas tramas tangíveis das existências humanas.

Plutarch's works often serve as a starting point for feminist criticism– the writer is called both a feminist who surpassed his times and a spokesperson for the traditional patriarchal society who sees women as passive and inferior to men. Others are certain that Plutarch hates women and atributes all possible character flaws to them. According to some, Plutarch despises educated women, yet others, contrarily, state that he enjoyed the company of educated women no less than that of educated men. Such a vast range of different expert opinions may be due to Plutarch's vast literary legacy as well as the peculiarity of his way of thinking and his "generic sensibility": the tendency to change his approach in consideration of different generic demands. Nevertheless, it is impossible to disagree that Plutarch did write the lives of men, and not of women. However, in the remainingLivesof famous Greeks and Romans, we meet plenty of women whose acts and moral principles may serve as examples not only for women, but also for men. The aim of this article is to demonstrate that Plutarch, despite of sometimes relying on stereotypes, regards women according to the same ethical principles as he applies to men. Plutarch depicts women not as passive and submissive, but as autonomous and mature characters who are active not only in their private world, but in the political world too. They overstep the traditional social boundaries of the stereotype "feminine matrix." He accentuates two of women's social roles that, according to his judgement, are of the greatest importance: motherhood and partnership. In Plutarch's narrative, women are associated with love– the selfless motherly love, or marital love based on the community of thoughts and feelings. Plutarch draws attention not to the physical beauty of women, which is traditionally related to feminine sexuality in masculine psychology, but to the integrity of their characters. Love between a husband and wife, based not only on eros, but on devotion and friendship, is the primary representation of erotic love in his Lives. ; Plutarcho kūryba dažnai yra feministinės kritikos atskaitos taškas. Plutarchas vadinamas ir pralenkusiu laiką feministu, ir tradicinės patriarchalinės visuomenės nuomonės reiškėju, laikančiu moterį žemesnės prigimties negu vyras. Yra teigiančiųjų, kad Plutarchas niekina moteris, todėl jas vaizduodamas priskiria joms visas įmanomas charakterio ydas. Vieni mano, kad Plutarchas nemėgo išsilavinusių moterų, kiti nurodo, kad išsilavinusių moterų draugiją jis mėgo nė kiek ne mažiau negu išsilavinusių vyrų. Tokią tyrinėtojų nuomonių gausą ir įvairovę galima paaiškinti ne tik didžiule Plutarcho kūrinių apimtimi, bet ir šio rašytojo ir mąstymo ypatumais bei tendencija prisitaikyti prie kūrinio žanrinės ir stilistinės tradicijos.Tenka pripažinti, kad Plutarchas kūrė tik vyrų, o ne moterųgyvenimus. Vis dėlto išlikusiuose žymių graikų ir romėnų vyrųgyvenimuosevaizduojama daugybė moterų, kurių poelgiai ir moralinės nuostatos gali būti pavyzdžiai ne tik moterims, bet ir vyrams. Šio straipsnio tikslas– atskleisti, kad Plutarchas, nors kartais ir vadovaujasi stereotipais, moteris ir vyrus linkęs vertinti iš esmės taikydamas tuos pačius etinius principus. Ypač jis išskiria du, jo nuomone, reikšmingiausius socialinius moterų vaidmenis– motinystę ir partnerystę: per šiuos vaidmenis jos moterys vaizduojamos ne kaip pasyvios ir priklausomos, bet kaip autonomiškos ir brandžios savo ir valstybės gyvenimo veikėjos. Jos reprezentuoja aukščiausius moralinius principus ir vaizduojamos kaip asmenybės, peržengiančios tradicinės patriarchalinės "moteriškumo matricos" ribas. Plutarchas pirmiausia akcentuoja ne fizinį moterų grožį, kuris vyrų psichologijoje tradiciškai siejamas su moteriškuoju seksualumu ir "verte", bet moterų asmenybes, jų integralumą ir moralinius principus. Plutarchui moterys dažnai asocijuojasi su meile. Visų pirma, tai pasiaukojanti motinos meilė ir meilė santuokoje. Evolutions of family forms result from the interplay of shifting social and economic conditions, diverse and contested ideals, and the attempts of ordinary people to build their lives amid the constraints of their particular time and place. Within the last decades, the family landscape has become unclear, fragile and complex. While the conjugal union has been a core element of the modern family life cycle, grounded observations show that the purpose of the couple is being questioned. Relational scripts challenge the notion of family itself. Consequently, scholars are developing innovative ways of defining and analyzing the family and its diversification. In this work, the author analyses the life-courses of 35 parents who participated in heterodox and heterogeneous family configurations, deconjugalizing the implementation of anthropological family functions (reproduction, the protection and socialization of children, the production of attachment bonds between adults, non-reproductive sexuality, and the residence). The comparative analysis highlights an ideological and material macro-social common ground involved in the diversity of these family forms. On this descriptive and analytical basis, the author develops two original theses providing new perspectives on the change/continuity of family patterns. First, he distinguishes three operating regimes that implement family functions: conjugalized, intermediate and deconjugalized. The latter mobilizes a network while the first mobilizes a couple. The three regimes coexist in western societies, sometimes in the same kin group, because they are compatible with current macrosocial changes related to family functions. The second thesis highlights that most of these changes have recently been occurring faster than the pace of succession of generations (~30 years). Consequently, when the young adult experiences parenting, the family scripts s·he integrated during his·her primary socialization became partially obsolete. Individual reflexivity provides conditions for lifepaths diverging normative trajectories. These crossed phenomena might partly explain the current diversification of family forms and challenge the understanding of what a family is. ; Les mutations du fait familial résultent de l'entrelacement des parcours individuels à des contextes socioéconomiques et culturels en évolution. Conséquemment, les sciences sociales développent de nouvelles manières de concevoir et d'analyser le (non)couple et la (non)famille. Dans ce travail, l'auteur analyse le parcours de vie de 35 parents qui ont pris part à des configurations familiales hétérogènes et hétérodoxes, déconjugalisant plusieurs fonctions de la famille (reproduction, parentalité, attachement entre adultes, sexualité et résidence). L'analyse comparative permet une remontée en généralité qui met en évidence des conditions macrosociales communes à cette diversité. Although it is true that The Mexican Constitution highlights in some of its articles the need to respect values, ideology and beliefs of any citizen, regardless his or her preference or sexual orientation, the everyday social interactions reveal that the individual guarantees are not fulfilled as stated in our Magna Carta. In Mexico, the right not to be discriminated against was discussed and approved in August 2001 by the legislators in the framework of the Constitutional Reform. Undoubtedly, this is an important advance in legal matters. However, what does the reality lived in our country tell us, when the right to free exercise of sexual preference continues to be ignored and is even more linked to practices of family and social discrimination and harassment? In that sense, what is the role that government institutions should play with respect to sexual diversity? Furthermore, how could universities and institutions of higher education contribute to the construction of an ethical and political system that applies the right to equality with the recognition of difference? Unquestionably, the subject gives more than what we will discuss in this paper. However, we intend to contribute with it to Mexican university research on sexual diversity. To do this, we will start from a review of the legal frameworks that accompany this theme in our country, as well as a review of some national surveys on sexual discrimination, plus some central axes on which higher education institutions have focused their policies investigations and finally, we will recover some reflections derived from a research in Interuniversity Network. All this with the sole desire to contribute to the breaking of the heteronormative gender canons and help in the free choice of the subject for the exercise of their sexuality. ; Si bien es cierto que la Constitución Mexicana resalta en algunos artículos la necesidad de respetar los valores, la ideología y las creencias de cualquier ciudadano, sin importar su preferencia u orientación sexual, las interacciones cotidianas sociales revelan que no se cumplen las garantías individuales tal y como lo señala nuestra Carta Magna. En México, el derecho a no ser discriminados fue discutido y aprobado por los legisladores en el marco de la Reforma Constitucional en agosto de 2001. Sin duda, se trata de un avance importante en materia jurídica. Empero, ¿qué nos indica la realidad vivida en nuestro país, cuando el derecho al ejercicio libre de la preferencia sexual se sigue ignorando y más aún se vincula con prácticas de discriminación y hostigamiento familiar y social? En ese sentido, ¿cuál es el papel que deben jugar las instituciones gubernamentales con respecto a la diversidad sexual? Más aún, ¿cómo podrían las universidades e instituciones de educación superior contribuir en la construcción de un sistema ético y político que aplique el derecho a la igualdad con el reconocimiento de la diferencia? Indiscutiblemente que el tema da para más que lo que expondremos en este escrito. Sin embargo, pretendemos aportar con el mismo a la investigación universitaria mexicana en materia de diversidad sexual. Para ello, partiremos desde una revisión a los marcos jurídicos y legales que acompañan esta temática en nuestro país, así como una revisión a algunas encuestas nacionales sobre discriminación sexual, más algunos ejes centrales en los que las instituciones de educación superior han centrado sus políticas e investigaciones y, finalmente, recuperaremos algunas reflexiones derivadas de una investigación en Red interuniversitaria. Todo ello con el único deseo de contribuir en la ruptura de los cánones de género heteronormativos y coadyuvar en la elección libre del sujeto para el ejercicio de su sexualidad.

학위논문(석사)--서울대학교 대학원 :인문대학 협동과정 비교문학전공,2019. 8. 강우성. ; In this thesis, I examine the complicated way in which gender and sexuality are articulated through the representation of artificial women in two recently released science fiction films, Ex Machina (2015) and Under the Skin (2013). Both films ask similar questions of what it means to be a human/woman by tapping into science fiction tradition to explore the construction of gender through speculated bodies. While these two cinematic texts may initially seem to focus on the different aspect of artificial women, they ultimately re-purpose science fiction trope that profoundly restricts conception of femininity. Both films explore a new way in which artificial women possess a revolutionary potential to reveal the ambivalent nature of femininity. Attention to the construction of artificial women has the potential to reveal the ways in which feminine gender is idealized, controlled and consumed in our culture. The first chapter introduces the landscape of science fiction genre by examining and problematizing the dominant representation of artificial women within the aspect of cultural instrumentality. My enquiry draws mainly from cyborg feminist theories, feminist theories, and utilize feminist film critiques, regarding the construction and performance of gender, and transference of sexist stereotypes to artificial women while exploring the cinematic framing between the genders. In the following chapter on Alex Garland's Ex Machina, I investigate the construction and the spectacle of Ava/Machine's body and the imposition of gender role as well as entrapment of male fantasy. Ava's body is introduced as a part woman and in other parts as a machine, offering a compelling critique of how to think about the constructed nature of femininity. The next chapter is on Jonathan Glazer's Under the Skin. In contrast to Ava, the Woman/Alien's body already appears in a complete form from the very start. The visual process of gendering is more straightforward in the film, allowing the narrative to focus on the development of female consciousness than following the physical transformation into womanhood. ; 이 논문은 공상과학 영화에서 나타난 인조 여성을 대상으로, 최근에 개봉되어 많은 관심을 받은 영화 와 을 중심으로 분석한다. 공통적으로, 이 영화들은 모호한 신체를 통해 젠더 구조를 탐구하는 공상과학적 통념을 바탕으로, 인간/여성이란 과연 무슨 의미를 지니고 있는지에 대한 공통적인 질문을 던지고 있다. 이 작품들은 인조 여성의 재현에 대한 각기 다른 측면에 초점을 맞춘 것처럼 보일 수 있으나, 여성성의 개념을 제한하는 공상과학적 비유를 재설정하고 있으며, 더 나아가 여성성의 양면적인 본질을 드러내는 혁명적인 가능성을 내포하고 있다. 또한, 인조 여성의 실체에 주목하는 것은 대중문화에서 여성 젠더가 어떻게 형상화되고 통제되었으며, 어떠한 방식으로 대중들에게 소비되었는지 파악할 수 있는 방향을 제시하고 있다.따라서, 본 논문의 1장은 '문화 매개체' (cultural instrumentality)라는 개념을 통해서 인조 여성에 대한 통상적 관념에 대한 문제 제기 하는 방법으로 전반적인 공상과학 장르의 소개하며, 2장에서 알렉스 갈랜드의 의 분석을 통해 에이바/기계 몸의 형성, 젠더의 역할, 그리고 인조 여성에 대한 남성 판타지에 대해 설명했다. 반인/반기계적인 신체로 묘사되는 에이바의 몸은 가공된 여성상의 본질에 대한 고찰의 기회를 제공한다. 다음 3장은 조나단 글레이저의 에 대한 것으로, 극 중 등장하는 여성/외계인은 의 에이바와 다르게 첫 등장에서부터 완벽한 '여성'의 몸을 가지고 있다. 이 영화는 여성으로의 육체 변화보다 자의식의 발전에 초점을 맞춘 해석을 통해, 보다 직접적인 젠더링 시각화를 제시했다. ; 1. The purpose of this article is to read the criminalization of abortion from the contributions of Michel Foucault and Rita Segato. The control of the body impliesdisciplinary power and goes through the construction of arguments against the legalization of abortion. We understand its criminalization as a strategy of such power. This exercise in the control of the bodies according to the social ladder that we occupy according to our gender. In this sense, various social groups and feminist movements put on the public agenda the patriarchal and androcentric oppression that has dominated throughout history over women.Initially, it intended to identify the historical facts related to abortion in Argentina through the description of past and present laws and the social division that generated the legislative discussion on legalization in 2018. The legislation about abortion has been in our country for more than a century; three facts mark it, namely: first, its history dates back to 1886 with the sanction of the first Criminal Code where the prohibition achieves all cases. Second, it is not until 1921 that some caveats are established regarding their penalty: risk of death, rape or diminished mental capacity. Third, a hinge event occurs in2012 with the F.A.L. incorporates -in the concept of health- physical, psychic, social aspects and clarifies that the danger of health may be potential. In the last decade, the fight for the decriminalization of abortion takes a relevant role in the social agenda and reaches its greatest diffusion in 2018 where there is a great social movement.In a second moment, we seek to visualize the implications of the disciplinary power in the control of the woman's body by reconstructing the arguments against the legalization of abortion. The disciplinary power thoroughly captures the body, gestures and behavior. Throughout the history of our society, patriarchy has been the regulatory entity of social organization. Women have found ourselves traversed by a norm of oppression about our daily lives. They consider inferior the feminine and dissident gender -heteronormal discourse-. Two arguments are related to the criminalization of abortion: First, the one who considers the romantic idea -patriarchal- of motherhood where it is considered that the pregnant body and fetus are two independent beings, linked to this that the purpose of sexuality is reproduction. Second, gender stereotypes that establish modes of relationship between people and are a normalizing discourse under the wing of the patriarchal norm in our culture.We believe that disciplinary power goes through our daily actions and seeps into our discourse as a means of discipline. We intend to cut with this discourse - which currently has binary bases - through the deconstruction of gender that allows us to see beyond the stereotypes of man-woman, male-female. ; La finalidad del presente artículo consiste en leer la criminalización del aborto desde los aportes de Michel Foucault y Rita Segato. El control del cuerpo que implica el poder disciplinario atraviesa la construcción de argumentos en contra de la legalización del aborto. En un primer momento se pretende identificar los hechos históricos relacionados al aborto en Argentina por medio de la descripción de legislaciones pasadas y presentes en nuestro país y de la división social que generó la discusión legislativa sobre la legalización en el año 2018. En un segundo momento se busca visualizar las implicancias del poder disciplinario en el control del cuerpo de la mujer por medio de la descripción de las características del control del cuerpo y la reconstrucción de argumentos en contra de la legalización del aborto desde esta perspectiva.
