Since the advent of the smartphone, the practice of photography has clearly democratized. Indeed, smartphones have already replaced compact digital cameras which are declining proportionally to the development of our "photophones". Odontology does not escape this democratization, indeed photography has its place in the dental office. In this work we will see how to integrate a smartphone into a daily practice of dental photography. In a first part we will develop the shooting with a smartphone, in the second we will see the different accessories that can adapt to our practice and in the third we will talk about post-production and data transfer. ; Depuis l'avènement du smartphone, la pratique de la photographie s'est clairement démocratisée. En effet, les smartphones ont déjà remplacé les appareils photos numériques compacts qui connaissent un déclin proportionnel au développement de nos « photophones ». L'odontologie n'échappe pas à cette démocratisation, en effet la photographie a complètement sa place au cabinet dentaire. Dans ce travail, nous allons voir comment intégrer un smartphone dans une pratique de la photographie dentaire au quotidien. Dans une première partie nous développerons la prise de vue avec un smartphone, dans la seconde nous verrons les différents accessoires pouvant s'adapter à notre pratique, puis dans la troisième nous parlerons de la post-production et du transfert des données.

non-peer-reviewed ; It is widely acknowledged that transitions towards a circular economy (CE) are based on the complementary development of circular business models and design strategies. One strategy to enhance the lifetime of products is modular design. Concepts for modular product designs have been around for a long time, but it was only with the rise of the CE debate that they have been linked to more sustainable consumption patterns. Much research on modular designs has focused on smartphones, as they are considered to be a suitable product to make use of the advantages derived from modular designs. Still, there currently is little research that looks at how modular design strategies fit into people's existing daily practices and media ensembles let alone the competences and knowledge needed to do so. This paper presents new empirical evidence gathered through in-depth interviews with people about their daily practices with their smartphone and modular design strategies. We discuss opportunities for modular smartphone designs and related product service systems. Our results show that issues of convenience and optimisation play a key role when establishing domestic media ensembles in people's daily lives where the reliability and ease of use of people's smartphones are crucial. These meaning present challenges for an integration of modular smartphones into everyday lives. Modular strategies as part of transitions towards CE cannot be enabled through products and services alone but would need complimentary political regulation and standardisation to support these developments.

Die vorliegende Arbeit befasst sich mit der Analyse der sozialen Auswirkungen in der Produktionsphase eines Smartphones mit Hilfe der «Social Life Cycle Assessment»-Methode (S-LCA) basierend auf den UNEP/SETAC-Richtlinien. Die Untersuchung konzentriert sich auf die Arbeitnehmenden, die lokale Bevölkerung und die Gesellschaft, welche in der Rohstoffgewinnung (Metalle), Produktion der Grundkomponenten (Eisen, Kunststoff und Glas), Produktion der einzelnen Bestandteile eines Smartphones (Akku, Display, Kamera und IC) und die End-fertigung des Gerätes involviert sind. Um die soziale Situation der drei untersuchten Anspruchsgruppen in den verschiedenen Ländern zu bewerten, wurden sieben Unterkategorien ausgewählt und modelliert. Diese beinhalten Kinderarbeit, das Lohnverhältnis, die Sozialleistungen des Landes, den Zugang zu materiellen Ressourcen, die Lebensbedingungen, die wirtschaftliche Entwicklung und Korruption. Die Lieferkette eines Smartphones ist global, deshalb wurde die Produktion weltweit betrachtet. Da gleiche Rohstoffe für ein Smartphone aus diversen Ländern aus der ganzen Welt stammen können, wurde der Schwerpunkt auf die Länder gelegt, welche zu den Hauptlieferanten der jeweiligen Rohstoffe zählen. Die Produktion der Grundkomponenten, der Bestandteile und die Endfertigung konzentrieren sich hingegen auf den asiatischen Raum. Die wichtigsten Ergebnisse der S-LCA zeigen, dass Korruption im gesamten Smartphonesektor ein Problem darstellt und die grössten negativen Folgen aufweist. Auf der Ebene der Rohstoffgewinnung und Grundkomponenten sind zudem die negativen Aus-wirkungen auf die lokale Bevölkerung stark ausgeprägt. Die Förderung von Gold in China er-weist sich als der schwerwiegendste Faktor, welcher für die Verschlechterung der Lebensbedingungen mitverantwortlich ist. Weiter sind im Minensektor in der Demokratischen Republik Kongo die Arbeitenden durch ungenügende Sozialleistungen und einen hohen Anteil an Kinderarbeit negativ betroffen.
