In this paper I want to criticize the claim, familiar from some social-constructionist accounts, that 'memory' be understood, largely or exclusively, as a 'social discursive practice.' I want to defend the argument that, to be intelligible, and to be properly used in social psychology, the notion of memory entails mental attitudes and the truth-conditions of language. Hence I plead for a wider understanding of what it is involved in the concept of 'social practice'
In this paper I present the results of a study on social practices of older women who are involved in different kinds of associations in responsibility positions. A qualitative methodology was used based on 7 discussion groups and 5 interviews in which 50 informants participated. The results report how older women who are in formal power positions understand their activity, which activities are they doing and in which conditions, as well as the relationship between life trajectory and the practice of leading roles.
The changes generated in the Health System of Colombia, such as the special emphasis in collective work, have set an evident necessity for capable professionals to work in different environments to the clinician. Either way, the health concept has broadened its frame, to ones much more integral, where the comprehension of a concept is built from models that integrate the biological, the mental and the social. For this reason, it is very important to create from within the university, spaces that allow the student to interact with the community. What is mentioned above is related to the Social Responsibility, which from a university context, is referred to as the ability of the university to respond to the needs of the society's transformation where it is immersed, through the practice of its original functions: teaching, investigation and extension. Through the extension function, and with a base in the professional profile that the society needs to improve the health of the Colombian population, the School of Dentistry of the Pontificia Javeriana University, after a curricular reflection, has generated spaces for the Social Practice. This allows the student to approach the current situation of the country, and do a reading of the reality and needs of the population, to construct and promote promotional strategies in terms of quality of life and health, for the search of the population's well being. This will allow in the future, work in the community service and the comprehension that the actions in health, must be coupled with public, political, community and collective sectors. ; The last decade has witnessed an important development of practices that involve alternative proposals to the dominant production, consumption and exchange patterns. In the present article, we present an analysis of the interwoven patterns of alternative economic practices in Valladolid, a mid-sized city in Spain. This urban profile differs from the cities that have typically been used to design the body of research on the transformation power that consumer networks, bartering, time banking, social coin and community orchards have. Taking into account the value of both the context and the scale under investigation, this study proposes a reanalysis for these types of cities: under this view, the potential is not placed in the economic sphere but rather in the social practice and experience as well as in the political culture.

; The categories of ownership, possession and work in rural Castilian take a practical dimension that can only be understood from the study of the natural conditions imposed on agents. The perceptions are recognized in the area that we investigated in the late Medieval period refer, therefore, to ways of structuring the dynamics of production that matter the appropriation of resources, in particular the effective disposal of the principal means of production that is land. On this particular issue, said E. P. Thompson that the peasant "furiously was not (assume) that had their land, which was his. What he inherited was a place in the hierarchy of water rights. "This hierarchy of rights, on which the political will to regulate the active involvement of multiple interests and ensure that cross the universe of villages and towns, is subject to a subsistence logic that runs and determines the various productive activities that support reproduction of the tributaries, while possible to maintain the various branches of power in the Castilian royal area in the centuries cut in this collaboration. ; Fil: Luchía, Corina Julia. The article presents an analysis of contemporary Chilean indigenous policy, the research was guided by an ethnographical study of the State in the Araucanía region, comprising part of the traditional territory of the Mapuche people. To look at the state using a "from within" perspective, regarding local spaces and specifically focus on offices which serve indigenous population. The role of indigenous staff is essential to understanding public policy in practice and action, as the final repository of state power. One of the main reasons for the interaction is the application of the "indigenous status," this is a certification given by the Chilean government for granting social benefits. We analyze the social practices, how this status is negotiated at the local space and why the State's form is building and their impact on the recognition of indigenous identity.

; The purpose of the current article is to outline the analytical categories in order to implementa general balance of the discussion on Communitarian Justice, subject that has been approached from multiple angles. lt is about recognizing the tapie in its complexity, interpretations, meanings, senses and normative referents, besides observing its relations with explanatory contexts, social practices, social actors, government public institutions or policies in their different scales referring. As starting hypothesis we considered that the speech of communitarian justice oscillates between the paradigms of social regulation and social emancipation: the first is assumed as an instrument of domination directed to the reestablishment of orders in situation of deterioration, erosion of institutionalism, and illegality and the second that emphasizes its relation with freedom projects, autonomy, in dependence and dignity, in times of recognition of the diversity, the difference and the distinction as supports of democracy, pluralism and the fairness.

; This article analyzes the period between the end of the Lanusse dictatorship and the elections in 1973. The proposal aims to open a path of inquiry that, recovering social practices, allows us to ponder the complex relationship between the process of growing political radicalization and the democratic opening as a scenario for the expansion of rights and political participation through formal channels. In this line, we reflect on two different instances. On the one hand, the ways in which democracy was thought and the positions that this demanded to the organizations of the new left. On the other hand, the exercise of political practices that promoted a process of democratization "from below" in union and student spaces. In this paper, it is argued that diverse notions of democracy circulated and were debated between 1972 and 1973, providing nuances and permeating the process of upward radicalization.
