Il progetto è in sintonia con i nuovi scenari di ricerca, sia in ambito nazionale che internazionale, per l'inclusione e l'attiva partecipazione all'interno della società delle persone con disabilità e delle loro famiglie. Sebbene le molte problematiche ancora da superare, negli ultimi anni il tema dell'inclusione (scolastica e sociale) delle persone che presentano delle disabilità sta' attraendo l'attenzione di settori sempre più ampi di popolazione, quanto guadagnando sempre più spazio all'interno dei momenti di discussione circa le future politiche sociali. La ricerca analizza gli stakeholder primari e secondari responsabili dei processi di inclusione sociale e scolastica dei giovani disabili, supponendo, lo sport e l'educazione fisica quale strumento facilitatore di possibili azioni e cambiamenti volti a facilitare la vita delle persone disabili. L'adozione di questo approccio è presentato come denominatore comune di pratiche innovative sociali che a supporto dei processi inclusivi consentono il passaggio da un modello medico assistenziale a un approccio dei diritti civili alla disabilità. La base teorica di questa ipotesi trova sostegno in molti principi di Integrazione Scolastica e l'obiettivo principale delle ipotesi di ricerca è sulla partecipazione ed emancipazione come strategie volte ad affrontare i problemi esistenti relativi alla inclusione. Le esperienze studiate rappresentano esempi di promozione dell'inclusione nei sistemi scolastici : contribuendo al dibattito sull' "inclusive education", sostenendo processi di inclusione sociale rivolti a tutti coloro che si trovano in situazione di svantaggio psico-fisico e sensoriale. Nella seconda parte l'analisi di alcuni studi in materia di approcci partecipativi nelle aree di interesse come esempio del miglioramento dell'inclusione, attraverso il coinvolgimento degli stakeholder dell'inclusione. Proseguendo nella ricerca si tenta di indagare sul livello di pregiudizio dei giovani all'interno di ambienti scolastici e sportivi, partendo da questioni ancora aperte. ; The project is in tune with the new research scenarios, both nationally and internationally, for the inclusion and active participation in society of people with disabilities and their families. Although many problems still to be overcome, in recent years the issue of inclusion (educational and social) of people with disabilities is' attracting the attention of increasingly broad sectors of the population, since gaining more and more space inside opportunities for discussion about future social policies. The research analyzes the primary and secondary stakeholders responsible for the processes of social inclusion and education of young people with disabilities, assuming, sport and physical education as a facilitator instrument of possible actions and changes aimed at making life easier for disabled people. The adoption of this approach is presented as a common denominator of social innovative practices in support of inclusive processes allow the transition from a welfare approach to a medical model of civil rights to disability. The theoretical basis of this hypothesis finds support in many principles of Scholastic Integration and the main objective of the research hypothesis is on participation and empowerment as strategies to address existing problems relating to inclusion. The experiences studied are examples of inclusion promotion in school systems: contributing to the debate on ' "inclusive education", supporting processes of social inclusion aimed at all those who are in a state of psycho-physical and sensory handicap. In the second part of the analysis of several studies in the field of participatory approaches in the areas of interest as an example of improving the inclusion, through the involvement of stakeholder inclusion. Continuing research will try to investigate the level of injury for young people within school and sporting circles, starting from open questions.

In this focus article the book Making Social Sciences More Scientific by Rein Taagepera is discussed. The book proposes an innovative approach to quantitative modelling, the "quantitatively predictive logical modeling". In the first contribution, the originality of this approach is discussed, through a comparison with three traditional methodological perspectives: qualitative research; rational- choice modeling; empirically-oriented quantitative research. Then, the potential of Taagepera's approach is evaluated with respect to the problem of the relationship between concepts and signs. In this regard, the non-linear, theoretically-driven construction of mathematical models advocated by Taagepera could provide a far more accurate operationalization of the conceptual models developed in the social sciences, which often feature non-linear relationships. Finally, the possibility of integrating Taagepera's suggestion with the traditional quantitative approach -- based on the generalized linear model -- is discussed, by pointing out potential problems and possible solutions. In the second contribution, Taagepera's critique of the prevalent approach to quantitative analysis of social phenomena is illustrated and commented, along with his proposal to adopt quantitatively predictive logical models as the basic analytical tool of the social sciences. Then, it is argued that, though based on sound arguments, Taagepera's critique of generalized linear regression models is somewhat too severe, since it overlooks some of regression's analytical best strengths. Environment and society are increasingly affected by human activity. World society must constantly face many problems such as climate change, air, water and soil pollutions, resources overuse, human rights, child labor, social inequalities, health and safety. Since companies are the most responsible actors for these troubles, they are stimulated to develop and adopt policies of sustainable development. Practices of Corporate Sustainability and Responsibility are increasing within many businesses for reasons which go beyond the mere compliance with legislations and regulations. Nowadays, sustainable and responsible companies behave ethically for competitive reasons as well. The connections between sustainability and business strategy occurs through the pursuit of eco-socio-efficiencies, resources cost cutting, product-service differentiation, access to ethical funds, image and reputation, and the avoidance of fines, penalties and environmental taxes. Sustainability management occurs through a process that starts with identification of key stakeholders and the relative types of environmental or social impacts generated. Then, strategy must be developed, and communicated to all level of the organization. Leadership and commitment of top management are fundamental in order to diffuse sustainability guidelines, support the organizational structure and spread the new culture. In addition, performance measurement and management systems should drive the attainment of sustainability objectives. Environmental and social accounting systems must provide meaningful data in order to monitor the accomplishment of strategy and, at the same time, disclose the sustainability reports addressed to stakeholders. One important aspect of the process above mentioned regards the connection between strategy and performance measurement system. In order to translate sustainability strategies into actions measurable through performance indicators, it must be emphasized the support of Balanced Scorecard (BSC). The multidimensional conception of the tool advises to integrate environmental and social aspects of business activity within the four traditional perspectives of management in the BSC (financial, customers, processes, learning and growth). Therefore, the emerging concept of Sustainability Balanced Scorecard (SBSC) is referred to the additional feature of considering the environmental and social issues connected directly or indirectly with the execution of the business processes and thus with economic success. Cause and effect relationships in the strategy map show the relations between better social and environmental performances with increasing competitiveness and profitability. The airline sector is facing many challenges of sustainable development. Hence the case developed about a real carrier can help to better understand the matter. The implementation of a Sustainability Balanced Scorecard in Lufthansa Passenger Airline consists in a simulation of the process that starts with the identification of stakeholders and related environmental and social impacts. Based on these exposures, sustainability strategies are developed and formalized as several strategic objectives belonging to the different perspectives of SBSC. Afterwards, for each sustainability objective, numerous key performance indicators are developed in order to monitor single operative aspects related to the achievement of objectives. Finally, the construction of strategy map makes clear how sustainability performances are connected with financial ones. In conclusion, the analysis of environmental, social and economic performances achieved by the German carrier and the comparison with direct European competitor Air France KLM and other minor competitors helps to identify the successes and criticisms deriving from sustainability purposes.

The neighbourhood is therefore the minimum space for experimenting with policies aimed at spreading well-being and combating social inequalities. The practices reported here describe potential alternatives to the current health intervention models. This shifts the focus on relational dimension and reciprocity of care. The research aim of the present study is not assessing to what extent the feminist or transfeminist approach guides these urban practices, but rather identifying their potentials and limits useful for the debate on the construction of new urban imaginaries. ; Fin dai primi anni Duemila il barri del Poble-Sec a Barcellona è stato attraversato da progetti volti a costruire un'alternativa alla medicalizzazione dei problemi sociali. Le sperimentazioni che verranno presentate raccontano possibili alternative agli attuali modelli di intervento sanitario spostando l'attenzione sulla dimensione relazionale e sulla cura reciproca. In the rich Western societies, the several crises at the beginning of this century focus on the worsening of old economic and social problems, which have taken on new importance in the cities undergoing a rapid transformation because of the globalization and the new structures of the labor market. These are issues that have called into question the traditional political systems, with significant effects on the evolution of democratic systems. These issues have been raised throughout the 20th century and today they are once again central to the structural transformations aforementioned and to the crisis of the welfare systems built in Europe during the so-called Golden Age. The theme of living in the peripheries reappears in a dramatic way; a problem exacerbated by the fact that today these areas are no longer just those outside the cities (shaped by the processes of the economic modernization of the 19th and 20th centuries) but they deeply characterize the urban fabric and are linked to the existential conditions of those who live there. The book combines historical and geographical perspectives, according to an interdisciplinary approach. It is possible to examine the policies adopted and to be adopted in these territories and the role that social forces and associative networks have played and can play in identifying adequate and durable responses to such complex problems. A long-term view and a more systemic analysis allow a reflection on the relationship between socio-economic development and the processes of construction of the living together in the different contexts of European cities. Social actors, in their various forms, have offered and are able to offer strategic contributions for the production of new development models, in which the quality of life in working-class peripheries and the processes of social inclusion will be once again a priority, as required by the urban agendas of this new millennium.

The article aims to analyse the reception of classical antiquity and of the ancient religions in a comic by Luca Enoch: Gea. Originally published by Sergio Bonelli Editore in the late 1990s, Gea is an unicumfor the Bonellian standards starting from its editorial format and its narrative structure. But the real touch of originality can be identified in its main themes, which are unusual for a "popular comic" – sexuality, social problems, political matters, etc. – and in the way how the Author uses the classical heritage and the ancient religions in two different modes. The former is presented in a traditional and stereotypical way while the latter are strongly reinterpreted. So the purpose of this paper is to understand the reasons for this different use of the past.

The intensification of terrorist attacks in Europe, the worsening effects of the global economic crisis, the constant attention to migratory flows in vast areas of the planet and the frequent environmental disasters have turned back the spotlights on the "State of Emergency". Far beyond the limits in which it was traditionally relegated, "Emergency" paradoxically entered the ordinary public debate, with the effect of a deeply transformation of the political mechanisms and processes of legitimacy. This article aims to reflect on "Emergency" as a normal and normalized instrument of power legitimacy, by linking it with (i) the organicists imaginaries related to the concept of crisis, (ii) the reframing of social problems in terms of security and (iii) the political and legal responses justified with the arguments of urgency, exception and necessity.

L'oggetto del lavoro si sostanzia nella verifica del grado di giustiziabilità che i diritti sociali ricevono nell'ordinamento dell'Unione europea. L'indagine si articola in tre capitoli. Il primo è dedicato ad una sintetica ricostruzione dei modelli di welfare state riconosciuti dagli ordinamenti dei diversi paesi membri dell'Unione attraverso cui, la candidata enuclea un insieme di diritti sociali che ricevono tutela in tutti gli ordinamenti nazionali. L'esposizione prosegue, con la ricostruzione dell'evoluzione dei Trattati istitutivi dell'Unione e l'inclusione della sfera sociale tra gli obiettivi di questa. In particolare, il secondo capitolo esamina la giurisprudenza della Corte di Giustizia in relazione alle materie sociali, nonché l'inclusione dei diritti sociali nel testo della Carta dei diritti fondamentali. L'analisi si sofferma sulle tecniche normative adottate nell'area della politica sociale, evidenziando la tendenza ad un approccio di tipo "soft" piuttosto che attraverso il classico metodo comunitario. Esaurita questa analisi il terzo capitolo analizza i rapporti tra il diritto dell'Ue e quello della CEDU in materia di diritti sociali, evidenziano il diverso approccio utilizzato dalle due istanze sovranazionali nella tutela di questi diritti. Sulla base del lavoro svolto si conclude per una sostanziale mancanza di giustiziabilità dei diritti sociali in ambito dell'Unione. In particolare i punti deboli dell'Europa sociale vengono individuati in: un approccio regolativo alla dimensione sociale di tipo sempre più soft; la permanenza di alcuni deficit di competenze; la mancata indicazione di criteri di bilanciamento tra diritti sociali e libertà economiche e dalla compresenza delle due nozioni di economia sociale e di economia di mercato. Le conclusioni mostrano come l'assenza di competenze esclusive dell'Unione in materia di politica sociale non consenta una uniformazione/armonizzazione delle politiche sociali interne, che si riflette nell'incapacità dei modelli sociali nazionali di assorbire i grandi mutamenti macro economici che si sono avuti negli ultimi vent'anni, sia a livello sovranazionale che internazionale. ; The object of this thesis consists in the analysis of the level of justiciability of social rights in the EU context, especially after the entering into force of the Lisbon Treaty. The research first presents a brief overview of different welfare states within EU national systems. The investigation focuses on national constitutional provisions enshrining social rights. From the results obtained, it is possible to determine which social rights are considered as being part of a common European tradition, and which, on the contrary, are differently recognized and protected from different Member States. The individuation of a nucleus of social rights, justiciable under the Member States legal orders, offers a good key for reading the evolution of European social policy during the last sixty years. Indeed, the second chapter focuses on the jurisprudence of the ECJ, in particular the one applying the principle of solidarity and non-discrimination within the field of social rights ´protection. Further, still within the field of social protection, this chapter also analyses the Union´s politics, with a special attention to the cross-border access to economic social services of the different member States. From this analysis, it is possible to determine the impact of the Charter of Fundamental rights on the protection of social rights in terms of their justiciability in the acquis communautaire. The third chapter deals with the problems connected with the future accession of the EU in the ECHR, in particular it shows the different approaches of the two Courts in the determination of the level of protection of social rights under the two judicial orders. The thesis concludes with a reflection, on one hand, on the present economic situation in Europe and its impact on the effectiveness and justiciability of social rights, and on the other, on the welfare states of member States.

"URBAN. Quality of Life and Social Innovation in Milan ", a review of meetings promoted by the Department of Sociology and Social Research of the University of Milan-Bicocca, which aimed to consolidate the relationship between University and City. Four days of meetings dedicated to the evolution and changes that are affecting the city of Milan and more generally the metropolises as places in which transformations, inequalities, social problems but also their solution are measured: Thursday 4, Friday 5 , Saturday 6 and Sunday 7 May 2017. 4 THEMES: welfare, society, innovation and territory. Over 20 events spread throughout the city: seminars, debates, photo exhibitions, theatrical, musical and artistic performances, on different themes: health, mobility, safety, sustainability, young and old, domestic violence and much more. MORE THAN 100 SOCIAL SCIENTISTS, EXPERTS and ARTISTS to bring sociology to the city and present to citizens the surveys, proposals and reflections of the Department of Sociology and Social Research of the University of Milan-Bicocca. A great opportunity to spread knowledge on the territory open to all citizens.
