Our aim in this study is to evaluate the corporate social responsibility practices of Koza Mining Operations from the perspective of institutional mechanisms, and to reveal the society-based nature, which was inadequate in previous studies that explain the concept in particular.In particular, the fact that the institutional environment is subject to insufficient scrutiny by researchers and the studies conducted so far mainly on the place of responsibility practices related to financial performance have caused the concept to be subject to limited research in the literature. The study was carried out through in-depth interviews and archive scans with company officials in three mining sites (Bergama, Balıkesir and Gümüşhane) where the highest number of administrative lawsuits were filed against Koza Mining Operations. The case study method was chosen among the qualitative research methods in the study. According to the findings obtained from the study, it was determined that the company uses its corporate social responsibility practices as a public relations policy to solve or eliminate local or national problems (corporate legitimacy crisis) in the region.

Bu çalışma 25-26 Nisan 2019 tarihinde Ankara'da düzenlenen "Fiscaoeconomia International Congress on Social Sciences", adlı kongrede sözlü olarak sunulmuş, ancak basılmamıştır. ; Gelecek kuşaklara daha iyi yaşanılabilir bir dünya bırakmak her bireyin olduğu gibi işletmelerin de üzerine düşen bir görevdir. Bu görev sosyal sorumluluk anlayışının bir gereğidir. Günümüzde işletmeler maksimum kara odaklandıklarından sosyal sorumluluklarını yerine getirme konusunda çelişkiye düşebilmektedir. Amaç, sadece maksimum kar elde etmek olmamalı, aynı zamanda çevrenin sürdürülebilirliğine katkı sağlamak olmalıdır. İşletmelerin finansal tablolarına baktığımızda çevre adına bir maliyet unsuruna çok az rastlanmaktadır. Çevre muhasebesi sisteminin uygulanması bu boşluğu dolduracaktır. Ve böylece işletmelerin çevreye yaptıkları yatırım maliyetleri finansal tablolarında yer almış olacaktır. Gelişmiş ülkelerde, örneğin Japonya ve İsveç'te çevre maliyetleri işletmelerin finansal tablolarında açıkça görülebilir. Bu çalışmada BİST Sürdürülebilirlik Endeksinde yer alan 63 işletmenin, sürdürülebilirlik, sosyal sorumluluk ve çevre faaliyetleri incelenmiştir. Ayrıca şirketlerin çevre maliyetlerini finansal tablolarında nasıl gösterdikleri incelenerek çevre muhasebesini uygulayıp uygulamadıkları değerlendirilmiştir. Çalışma sonucunda işletmelerin çevre muhasebesini uygulamadıkları, finansal raporlarında ve sürdürülebilirlik raporlarında çevre ile ilgili sayısal bilgilerden ziyade genel bilgilerin yer aldığı tespit edilmiştir. ; Leaving a better livable world for future generations is a duty of businesses as well as every individual. This task is a requirement of social responsibility. Nowadays, as businesses focus on maximum profits, they may be in conflict with their social responsibilities. The aim should not only be to achieve maximum profit, but also to contribute to the sustainability of the environment. When we look at the financial statements of the enterprises, a cost element for the environment is very rare. The implementation of the environmental accounting system will fill this gap. And thus, the investment costs of the enterprises to the environment will be included in their financial statements. Indeveloped countries, for instance Japan and Sweden, environmental costs are clearly seen in the financial statements. In this study, were examined sustainability, social responsibility and environmental activities of 63 businesses in the BIST Sustainability Index. In addition, it is examined whether companies show environmental costs in their financial statements and whether they apply environmental accounting. As a result of the study, it was determined that enterprises do not apply environmental accounting, and general information rather than numerical information about environment is included in financial reports and sustainability reports.

However, failure to comply with the order envisaged in the three-pillar structure during the implementation of the norm, the fact that the intervention took place in the form of an intervention directly to the political integrity and independence of a state other than the purpose of human protection, the non-compliance with the principle of being the last resort of the intervention and the instability in practice interrupted the development of the norm. In this study, the qualitative content analysis of the decisions taken by the Security Council since 2011, which has witnessed similar internal conflicts with the Libya intervention, which is the first coercive intervention under the name of protection responsibility of the international community, has been conducted. With this analysis, the application of protection responsibility norm, compliance with international norms of law, the reasons of inconsistency of international practice and the reflection of the power relations between P5 on the implementation of the norm at global system level were examined. As a result, the question of whether a possible intervention by the competent authority in the events of humanitarian crisis in a state is 'norm or sovereignty? It has been evaluated within the framework of international relations theories and international law rules.

Sürdürülebilirlik kavram olarak büyüme yerine kalkınmayı öngörmektedir. Bu nedenle sürdürülebilirlik olmadan kalkınma olmayacağı gibi, kalkınma olmadan da sürdürülebilirlik olamaz. Sürdürülebilir kalkınma; bugünün ve geleceğin yaşamının planlanması, gelecek nesillerin ihtiyaçlarının bugünden karşılanabilmesi için gerekli imkânların sunulması şeklinde tanımlanır. Ekonomiyle birlikte toplumun da parçası olan işletmeler de süreç kâr odaklı iken küreselleşmenin getirdiği etkiyle yerini çevresel ve sosyal göstergelerle dengeleyerek gerçekleşmektedir. Bu üçlü dengeleme; çevresel, sosyal ve ekonomik göstergeler aynı zamanda sürdürülebilir kalkınmanın boyutlarını oluşturmaktadır. This triple balancing; environmental, social and economic indicators also constitute the dimensions of sustainable development. Operational sustainability reports and internal and external stakeholders reflect the true performance of their organization, as well as their responsibilities towards the environment in which they operate. Organizational continuity of businesses in order to make their assets sustainable has led to the concept of Corporate Sustainability. According to this concept, businesses should act not only in the interest of the institution but also in the interest of the system. In the event that businesses do both financial reporting and sustainability reporting, the process of transitioning to integrated reporting, which is called the reporting of the future in the sense that the formation of a large number of documents is interpreted by the creditors and is difficult, has begun. The study consists of four parts. In the first chapter, the concept of sustainability is mentioned; the content and importance of sustainability reporting has been. In the second chapter, corporate sustainability models are discussed after giving general information about corporate sustainability. In the third chapter, information on sustainability related organizations was given; Sustainability Indexes, which are sustainability measurement applications. In the last section, the transition process from financial reporting to integrated reporting is mentioned; the historical development of the integrated report, the scope, the purpose, the benefits, content and guiding principles it has provided to the enterprises have been examined in detail. Comparing two different sectors selected a small number of integrated content from published reports it was made in Turkey. These organizations; T. Internal auditing is a collection of activities performed to bring value to corporate operations. It is critical for organizations to have effective and efficient internal control in order to continue their operations and compete with rivals. The management of the firms is also responsible for the implementation and monitoring of effective audit operations. Therefore, top management must be thorough and open in their approach to internal audits. As a result, internal audit efforts are critical for businesses.
This study was conducted from a management standpoint to establish the elements that actively contribute to the effectiveness of effective internal audit activity in organizations. The efficacy of audit units in organizations, the quality of audit work, organizational independence, career advancement prospects, and senior management support for the internal audit unit were all attempted to be assessed using the criteria. In the study, he conducted face-to-face interviews with enterprises in the Diyarbakir Organized Industrial Zone. The research found that the competency of internal auditors in firms, the quality of audit work, organizational independence, and career advancement prospects existed and that enterprises had a statistically significant and beneficial influence on the efficacy of audit units. However, statistical analysis revealed that there is no relevant association between the businesses' senior management's support and the efficacy of the enterprises' internal audit units and that the enterprises have no influence on the performance of the internal audit units.

Yönetim ve organizasyon yazınında kurumsal mantık yaklaşımının örgütsel alanların kurumsal değişimini incelemede sıkça kullanıldığı görülmektedir. Kurumsal mantıklara dair düşüncelerin yayılımı farklı kurumsal aktörlerin birbiri ile etkileşimi ile sağlanmaktadır. Bu bağlamda kurumsal aktörler, uygulayıcıların yeni yönetim uygulamalarını benimsemelerini sağlamak ve onları bu doğrultuda ikna etmek için kullandıkları söylemlerinde farklı retoriksel stratejiler kullanmaktadırlar. Bu çalışmanın amacı da, belirli bir örgütsel alanda var olan iki farklı kurumsal mantığın kurumsallaşma süreci içerisinde birbiriyle rekabetini retorik stratejileri üzerinden incelemek ve anlamaya çalışmaktır. Bu bağlamda bu çalışmada belirli bir örgütsel alanda var olan kurumsal mantıkların birbiriyle rekabetinde aktörlerin savundukları kurumsal mantığı meşrulaştırmak için hangi retoriksel stratejileri nasıl ve ne şekilde kullandıklarını görmek ve birbiri ile rekabetini incelemek için Kurumsal Sosyal Sorumluluk vakası araştırma alanı olarak belirlenmiştir. ; In management and organization literature, approach of institutional logic is frequently used to examine the institutional change of certain organizational fields. The institutional logic approach focuses on the conflicting institutional logics in the organizational fields. The spread of thoughts about institutional logics in organizational fields provided by the interaction of institutional actors. Institutional actors use different rhetorical strategies in their statements to ensure that practitioners adopt new management practices and to convince them accordingly. In this context, the main purpose of this study is to investigate the competition between the multiple institutional logics that exist in a particular organizational field through rhetorical strategies. The findings of the research conducted for this purpose showed that the defending CSR logic has become a dominant position in the field and revealed that institutional actors apply different weights to rhetorical strategies to convince their listeners.

Uluslararası alanda birçok ülke çevre sorunlarına çözüm aramak için işbirliği yoluna gitmiş ve ortak politikalar belirlemiştir. Bugünün ihtiyaçları karşılanırken bunun gelecek nesillerin ihtiyaçlarının, tehlikeye atılmadan yapılması için (Sürdürülebilir gelişme) anlayışının da önem kazanması ile gözler özellikle üretim yapan işletme faaliyetlerine çevrilmiştir. Gerek yasal baskılar gerek tüketici ve sivil toplum kuruluşlarının baskıları işletmeleri çevreyi dikkate almaya ve çevreye zarar vermeyecek faaliyetlerde bulunmaya itmiştir. Yeşil hareket olarak adlandırılan çevreyi koruma bilincinin toplumun büyük kesiminde desteklenmesi, işletmelerin de bu hareketi benimseyip çevreye en az zarar verecek uygulamaları geliştirmelerine neden olmuştur. Yeşil pazarlama işletmeleri ürünlerinin fiyat, dağıtım ve tutundurma faaliyetlerinde yeşil politikaları benimsemelerine sebep olmuştur. Bu çalışmada küresel çevre sorunları ve işletmeleri yeşil pazarlama stratejilerini uygulamalarına iten nedenler ele alınmış, çevre stratejileri ve yeşil pazarlama uygulamalarının düzeyi incelenerek sonuçlar istatistiksel ve betimsel olarak değerlendirilmiştir. ; As it's supposed that the sources of earth aren't limitless and coming to an end, also threatening of the environmental problems to the human health and ecosystem put the governments, civil social organizations and consumers in action. In order to find a solution many countries collaborate and determine common policies in international area. While supplying todays demands which should be done by not endangering the needs of next generations, people has paid attention to the activities of the enterprises after the concept sustainable development has become important . Both legal influences and influences of consumers and civil social organizations force the enterprises to consider the environment and not to damage it. Environmental protection consciousness which is called green movement has been supported by the great part of society that enterprises has adopted this view and has caused to develop the least destructive applications for the environment. Green marketing has caused the enterprises to espouse the green policies in price, distribution and promotion . In this research global environmental problems and the reasons which cause the enterprises to apply the green marketing strategies are going to discussed, the level of environmental strategies and green marketing applications are going to analyzed. The results are going to analyzed by using descriptive statistics.

Bu çalışma, koruma sorumluluğunun sorunlu işleyişini kuramsal bir perspektifle analiz etmeyi amaçlamaktadır. Çalışma, İngiliz Okulu kuramından hareket ile insanların paylaştığı değer, kurum ve kurallarla, devletlerin paylaştığı değer kurum ve kurallar arasında bir çatışma olduğunu öne sürmektedir. İngiliz Okuluna göre devlet dışı aktörlerin paylaştığı değer ve kurallar ile bu değer ve kurallar üzerine kurulmuş kurumlar dünya toplumunun birer unsurudurlar. Koruma sorumluluğu da bu tanım doğrultusunda dünya toplumunun bir unsuru olarak tanımlanmıştır. Ancak koruma sorumluluğunun uygulanması uluslararası topluma bırakılmıştır. Uluslararası toplum da İngiliz Okulu tarafından devletler arasında paylaşılan değer ve kurallar ile bunların üzerine kurulmuş kurumların yarattığı düzeni ifade eder. Çalışma kapsamında, koruma sorumluluğunun sorunlu işleyişinin temel sebebinin uluslararası toplumun dünya toplumuna göre günümüz uluslararası ilişkilerinin örgütlenme biçimini belirleyecek kadar baskın konumda bulunması olduğu iddia edilmektedir. ; This study aims to analyze problems in Responsibility to Protect from a theoretical perspective. Drawing on the English School theory, it argues that rules and institutions shared by individuals are in conflict with the rules and institutions shared among states. For the English School, values and rules shared by individuals as well as institutions built on them are elements of world society. Based on this definition, Responsibility to Protect is defined as an element of world society. Nevertheless, international society is responsible for the implementation of Responsibility to Protect. The English School defines international society as a form of order which is established by the values, rules and institutions that are shared among states. International society prevails against world society in a way to determine the political organization of the contemporary international relations. This study further argues that this is also the principal reason behind the problematic functioning of the responsibility to protect.

Silahlı kuvvetlerin ya da askerî personelin, asli görevleri dışında, genellikle savunma harcamalarının bir kısmını finanse etmek üzere bütçe dışı kaynak sağlamak maksadıyla, sahip oldukları veya yönettikleri ticari işletmeler yoluyla ekonomik faaliyetlerde bulunmasına askerî iş denir. Orduların, iş dünyasında yer almasının ülkeden ülkeye büyük farklar gösteren çeşitli nedenleri vardır. Bu nedenlerin en önemlisi ise bütçeden savunma harcamalarına ayrılan kaynağın yetersizliğidir. Resmî savunma bütçesinin yeterli olmadığı durumlarda, orduların duyduğu kaynak sıkıntısını telafi etme çabası, askerî iş faaliyetlerinin ortaya çıkışına zemin hazırlar. Bu çalışma, dünyada ve Türkiye'de askerî iş uygulamalarının ortaya çıkışına neden olan faktörleri ve bu faaliyetlerin sonuçlarını değerlendirmek amacıyla yapılmıştır. Bu kapsamda, Türkiye'deki askerî iş faaliyetlerinin neler olduğu tespit edilerek, bu faaliyetlerin gelişmiş ve gelişmekte olan ülkelerle olan benzerlik ve farklılıkları ortaya konulmuştur. Çalışmanın sonucunda; askerî iş faaliyetlerinin, ekonomik, politik ve silahlı kuvvetlerin harbe hazırlık seviyeleri açısından çeşitli sonuçları bulunduğu görülmüştür. Türkiye'deki askerî iş faaliyetlerinin, neden, sonuç ve büyüklükleri açısından gelişmemiş ve gelişmekte olan ülkelerdeki örneklerin büyük çoğuna benzemediği, Türk Silahlı Kuvvetleri'nin içinde bulunduğu askerî iş faaliyetlerinin, gelişmiş ülkelerin silahlı kuvvetlerinde görülen örneklere benzerlik gösterdiği tespit edilmiştir ; Military business is the economic activities by means of the commercial enterprises owned or managed by armed forces or military personel, exclusive of their primary roles, generally to provide off-budgetary resources for financing a part of defense expenditures. There are several reasons for the armies to take part in business, and they differ from one country to another. The most important one of these reasons is the insufficiency of the resources, that are allocated from budget, for defence expenditures. When the official defence budget is insufficient, effort to compensate this shortage creates a convenient environment for military business to arise. This study is carried out to evaluate the reasons that cause the military business activities to arise and the impacts of these activities both in the world and in Turkey in private. Studying with the military business activities in Turkey, similarities and diversities of these activities to/from developed and developing countries are presented. As a result of the study; it is seen that there are some economic and politic impacts of military business, and these activities also have an impact on readiness of armed forces. It is found out that the military business activities of Turkish Armed Forces are not fairly similar to the military business in undeveloped and developing countries considering the causes, results and sizes of these activities, but they are likely similar to the activities seen in developed countries
