The following work has as reference the Main Theoretical and Sociological Currents of social genders, since these are closely linked to the theory of deliberate and systematic discrimination of women that is based on the differences between men and women. The genders themselves do not have natural foundations since they have been culturally constructed and have been harming women. As you can see, there are many theoretical aspects that are based on the thoughts and attitudes of the genres. The objective of this article is based on a deep analytical study that allows us to apply a methodological tool such as a technical file that leads us to collect necessary information, which has a political dimension, which leads us to the construction of equitable and fair gender relations. and recognizing the existence of other discriminations and inequalities derived from ethnic, social origin, sexual orientation, gender identity as a conclusion of the same.
Air quality and climate change are among the biggest societal challenges that we face today. Atmospheric free radicals, particularly hydroxyl (•OH) and nitrate (•NO3), are the drivers of chemical processes that determine atmospheric composition and thus influence local and global air quality and climate. Detecting and understanding the behavior of radical species in the atmosphere is therefore of paramount importance and hence a major research goal in atmospheric science. Current techniques for measuring radicals are based on spectroscopic and mass spectrometric methods, which although sensitive and robust, are technically complex, cumbersome, and expensive. The central aim of this project is to develop organic surfaces on confined 1D interfaces to fabricate radical sensors on a Silicon junctionless nanowire transistor (Si JNT) platform. Silicon junctionless nanowire transistors (JNTs) have recently detected record low concentrations (down to the zeptomolar range) of the protein streptavidin in liquid phase. However, JNTs have not yet been tested for sensing in gas phase. Additional Information: Sayantan Ghosh delivered this presentation for RSC Twitter Conference. RADICAL represents a 'Fundamental Breakthrough in Detection of Atmospheric Free Radicals'. Today the executive branch is generally seen as the most dangerous branch. Many worry that the executive branch now defies or subsumes the separation of powers. In response, several Supreme Court Justices and prominent scholars assert that the very separation-of-powers principles that determine the structure of the federal government as a whole apply with full force within the executive branch. In particular, they argue that constitutional law prohibits the accumulation of more than one type of power—legislative, executive, and judicial—in the same executive official or government entity. We refer to this as the anti-accumulation principle. The consequences of this principle, applied to its full extension, are vast. It would invite a new era of constitutional policing of the internal structure of the executive branch and administrative agencies. This Article argues that separation-of-powers law contains no anti-accumulation principle. Unable to find textual support in the Constitution for this principle, proponents latch on to but misread James Madison's famous statement that the "accumulation of all powers . . . in the same hands . . . may justly be pronounced the very definition of tyranny." Functional considerations—like fairness, avoiding the triumph of faction, and efficiency— also do not justify the anti-accumulation principle or its application internally to the executive branch. The anti-accumulation principle is generally posited by jurists and scholars whose leanings are formalist and conservative. However, a set of liberal scholars commit the same error. More focused on checks and balances than on pure separation of powers, these scholars either defend or seek to reform the current structure of the executive branch. In doing so, they either invoke or assume the existence of an anti-accumulation principle, working from the premise that the principles that justified the allocation of power among the three branches must also apply within the executive branch. While the executive branch needs greater constraint, separation of powers neither requires greater internal divisions nor provides a robust menu for reform. To the extent valid constitutional concerns underlie the anti-accumulation principle, they rest on due process and should be evaluated as such.
In the decades-long rise of neoliberalism, venture philanthropy has emerged as a respected solution towards addressing reforms to public education. Private foundations such as the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation have led the charge for education development in the United States. However, the infusion of private donations and adoption of business models to a public good have not improved educational outcomes. This article addresses the role of venture philanthropy in reinforcing racial and economic disparities in educational resources and attainment through the lens of Gates Foundation initiatives. Specifically, the article dissects the role of neoliberalism in crafting education policies through private funding and discusses how the Foundation's failed ventures—such as the small school initiative, charter school expansion, and teacher evaluations based on student performance on standardized testing—have served to reinforce a status quo of "winners and losers." The article concludes with suggested democratic solutions to achieve equitable educational reform.
Disorderly conduct laws are weapons the powerful wield against the unpopular. All fifty states and many municipalities have disorderly conduct laws that criminalize speech and conduct ranging from unreasonable noise to opprobrious language. Although these laws are facially neutral, their astounding breadth and vagueness serve as a rubber stamp for law enforcement to surveil and criminally charge marginalized people. Their targets include communities of color, people with unpopular religious or political beliefs, and people whose mental health struggles render them incapable of complying with societal expectations of order. Although courts and scholars have criticized these laws for decades, none have explicitly called for their abolition. This Article does so. The Article examines both the constitutional flaws of disorderly conduct laws and the many societal harms they enable, before ultimately concluding that any minimal good they accomplish cannot justify the damage they inflict. Amidst a growing national reckoning over the crisis of abusive and discriminatory policing, this Article provides a timely critique of the criminal laws that empower such policing. It uses disorderly conduct laws as a lens through which to examine the extraordinary costs of overcriminalization and the vulnerable people who most often bear the brunt of such costs. Although disorderly conduct laws are not the only criminal laws legislatures should consider eliminating, they are both constitutionally and socially problematic to a degree few other criminal laws achieve.
Tenganan Pegringsingan Village is located in the east of the island of Bali, especially in the Manggis District, Karangasem Regency. The Tenganan Pegringsingan Traditional Village is included in one of the "Bali Aga" or "Bali Mountains" villages located in Karangasem Regency. Tenganan Village has abundant cultural tourism and natural tourism. Since it was designated as a cultural tourism destination by the local government, there have been socio-economic changes for the people of Tenganan Village. These socio-economic changes have an impact on the values and faces of traditional village houses. Direct field observations, in-depth interviews, and spatial mapping of traditional houses were carried out in this study. Tourist destinations are so that they can be used as learning or input for Bali tourism villages in responding to tourism developments.
This chapter engages with three key dynamics of contemporary healthcare - digitalization, marketization and individualization. It draws on several theoretical frameworks to conceptualize the notion of collective good and to consider how healthcare activism may play into defining and defending the collective good when faced with the outlined societal, economic, and scientific dynamics. Presenting contemporary examples from the Covid-19 pandemic, the chapter argues that the way activists define and defend the collective good can only fully be understood by grasping how this good is shaped by other, often more dominant, stakeholders in healthcare: governmental institutions, professional experts, scientists, and private industry – the latter being a focal point of concern for this current volume. ; European Commission Horizon 2020 ; Check for published version during checkdate report - AC ; 2021-04-28 JG: PDF replaced at author's request ; 2021-06-04 JG: embargo removed following documentation from author/publisher
One of the main directions of the development of the world in the 21st century is aimed at capturing the human heart and mind. The sudden start of military aggression in order to assert its hegemony in any state or region was replaced by various fabrications in the economic, political and media spheres. This article is about it.
