The article deals with the heuristic potential of the sociological theory by Giovanni Arrighi in the study of the dynamic aspect of the formation and maintenance of global inequality systems. To achieve the goal – to analyze the applicability of the dynamic aspect of the theory to study the mentioned topic – the changes of systemic cycles of accumulation and hegemony is analyzed. Special attention is paid to transitional points in which a hegemony crisis occurs and one cycle is being replaced by another, after which one can observe the hegemony transit. The cases (Genoa, Amsterdam, United Kingdom, USA) that Giovanni Arrighi selects to illustrate the cyclical nature of the historical development of world capitalism and the financialization character of these processes are being considered. The article studies the method of how G. Arrighi applies the Marxian formula of capital accumulation (M-C-M') to the description of the mechanism for changing accumulation cycles; its potential for studying this process is analyzed. The distinctive features of the development process of accumulation cycles are studied: movement towards the formation of a stronger cosmopolitan empire, historical and geographical conditionality, double movement forward and backward. In the final part, possible vectors of the future development of the world order and the formation of new global inequality systems according to G. Arrighi's vision are examined. Particular attention is paid to the role of transnational corporations in the expansion of world capitalism. The result of the work is a critical analysis of G. Arrighi's theory, which determines the strengths and weaknesses in the study of a chosen subject, and also identifies potential areas for further research. An attempt is made to apply the dynamic aspect of the concept to explain the nature and functions of global systems of inequality.

The article considers the problems of relations between the Church and the state in the classical sociological theory of M. Drahomanov and modern sociology. In the Western sociology of religion, considerable attention is paid to distinguishing the contexts of state and Сhurch practices, which can be compatible or incompatible with democracy. Compatible with democracy is a form of interaction between Church and state that ensures the protection of religious freedom and religious self-expression of all religious organizations and excludes discrimination based on religion. The negative consequences of the violation of the «principle of separation of Church from the State» described in the works of M. Drahomanov are analyzed. The socio-cultural effects of state intervention in the affairs of the Church at the level of society are investigated: violation of the principle of freedom of conscience, religious repression, forced unification of religions, and migration of believers as a result of repression by the state. It is emphasized that the violation of the principle of freedom of conscience contributes to the formation of an imposed and inauthentic identity of the individual, the growth of religious conformity, and the strengthening of «categorical inequality» in society. The social consequences of religious discrimination are analyzed: the growth of mass tension and frustration in society, the conflict between different Church communities, and the weakening of the effect of cohesion. The negative consequences of the violation of the «principle of separation of Church from the state» for the state Church are demonstrated: weakening of influence in society, rejection of the intellectuals, and latent atheism of the population. It is emphasized that to neutralize these negative effects, it is necessary to observe the constitutional principle of separation of the Church from the state. It was concluded that the separation of Church from state should contribute to the establishment of interreligious tolerance and understanding in society.

The article is devoted to the theoretical study of theory as an order of production of this theory at the categorical level. Based on historical and sociological material and conceptual analysis, the author explores the logic of the development of sociology as a science using the metacategory of order as an example. The author analyzes a number of views prevailing in sociology on issues of abstraction and specificity, empiricism and theory, generalizations and refinements, universalist conceptualism and particular applicability. It is emphasized that the abstraction, selection and construction of metacategories is the main way not only in the "normal sciences" (according to T. Kuhn), but also in the sciences that can oppose themselves to them, including in various sociology projects. As an example of metalanguages the development of N. Luhmann's theory and actor-network theory are studied. The ways of introducing metacategories into sociology, their abstraction and approval are investigated. Three key sources of metacategories for sociology are identified (selfmovement of sociology, borrowing from philosophy, extraction from other sciences). An important distinction between metacategories, categories and official words in sociological theorizing is introduced. Separate emphasis is placed on the analysis of how metacategories are practiced in sociological discourse. The author's hypotheses and preliminary conclusions are verified on the basis of material metacategories of the social order in the interpretation of a number of leading theoretical sociologists. For verification, P.A. Sorokin, T. Parsons, P. Bourdieu and E. Goffmann theories were used. The conclusion about the epistemological significance of metacategories for sociology and about their role in the scientific order of the organization of knowledge is drawn. In particular, the author proves that the study of the metacategory of order allows to reveal the metaorder of categories in theoretical sociology. Order as one of the most abstract, least "colored" and methodologically biased metacategories in this sense has a high potential for explicating the logic of the development of sociology.

The article reveals the heuristic potential of the sociological concept of social activity developed by the founder of the Kharkov Sociological School E. A. Yakuba in the 1960- 1980s. Based on historical and sociological material and conceptual analysis, the author demonstrates the potential of this concept from the sociology of knowledge perspective. He analyzes a number of related categories and problems that are introduced by E. A. Yakuba to discuss the problems of social activity. It is emphasized that the elected by E. A. Yakuba position allows to study and measure social activity in detail (that is, answer the question "how?"), However, it is the sociology of knowledge that gives a chance to study the sociogenesis and ontogenesis of social activity (that is, answer the question "why?"). The definition, systemic connections and methods of operationalization and indication of social activity proposed by E. A. Yakuba are given and analyzed. A separate emphasis is placed on the analysis of how the category of "social activity" is associated with the category of "subjectivity". The most important plot is the connection of the social essence of activity, that is, its inclusion in the sociality of the individual as a connection with the social whole. The evolution of the views of E. A. Yakuba on these categories, as well as their relationship with social maturity, activity, personality, is investigated. The possibilities of the sociology of knowledge in synthesizing various aspects of E. A. Yakuba approach are explored. Particular emphasis is placed on the consistency of E. A. Yakuba's theory, and also the limitations and specifics of the (often implicit) influence of Marxism on its development have been studied. The conclusion about the possibilities and limitations of updating the concept of "social activity" in a sociological-knowledge reassembling of E. A. Yakuba's theory is formulated.

The article explores official political discourse of Ukraine and its interpretation on the subject of constructing the concept of "reform". The main methods of sociological information obtaining and analyzing were preliminary content analysis of the selected sources and discourse analysis of the collected information. The theoretical and practical significance of the work located in adaptation of the cognitive theory of discourse and critical discourse analysis to sociological research and also conceptualization the category of discursive construct. During the analysis, forms of constructing of reform concept within the framework of political discourse have been developed. The official, constructive and oppositional forms of construction were highlighted, a number of illustrations from the meetings of the VRU are applied. On the basis of this, a symbolic struggle is described around the concept of "reform", in which discursive elements of the construction of reality became the main tool for winning an audience. The most common informational occasions and implications on the part of the official (European integration and democratization) and the opposition forms of construction (social inequality, pauperization of the population and the incorrect implementation of reforms by political competitors) are identified. It is emphasized that the contexts and meanings of the symbolic struggle is aimed at the electorate, and not at political competitors, therefore society as an object of discourse is interpreted as a victim of symbolic violence, and the concept of reform is interpreted as an instrument of this process. We established within the framework of research: the general declarative nature of Ukraine's political discourse about the category of reform, as well as the formation of this discursive unit as a subject of symbolic struggle within the framework of opposition-coalition conflicts through the exploitation of the doxa format in all studied fields; the background process of loss of universal sense by the category of «reform» through its excessive exploitation within the framework of political discourse in order to achieve the favor of society. Methodological limitations and heuristic perspectives are described also.

The article analyzes the possibilities of applying the methodology of poststructuralism in modern sociology, in particular in relation to the problems of space production and the exploitation of attention. The heuristic potential of poststructuralism for sociology is investigated, where the methodology of deconstruction is especially studied. The problem of space production by means of attention exploitation is analyzed in the context of Gilles Deleuze's concepts. It is emphasized that the central Deleuzean concept of difference in correlation with a number of concepts (in particular, representation and repetition) provides important tools for understanding the nature of production and reproduction of space, on the one hand, and the procedurality of attention as an object of exploitation, on the other. Poststructuralist metaphors of systematicity (tree and rhizome) are being rethought from the sociological perspective not as mutually exclusive, but as typologically compatible. Deleuze's distinction between nomadic and structural modes of perception is analyzed. The attention is focused on the phenomenon of a dividuum («divided») from the point of view of the production of acts of perception and acts of attention. In addition, an important aspect is the problem of production of chronological as structurally comparable with production of spatial. The preconceptions isolated from the Deleuzean theoretical rhizome are used by the authors in relation to the problems of mass culture in the explications of Gilles Lipovetsky and Paul Virilio. Attention is investigated as a fundamental substratum for the production of space(s) in a society of communicative / cognitive capitalism, which is revealed through examples of problems of visual perception, practices of cultural consumption, language, etc. A conclusion is made about the possibilities and limitations of studying the processes of space production and the role of attention in this process of exploitation in sociology from the standpoint of post-structuralist theory.

n transit of the identity of Ukrainian participants in hostilities in the area of anti-terrorist operation/ united forces operation. Emphasis is placed on the peculiarities of transit and the factors influencing its karakter, given the analytical categories of phenomenological constructivism of P. Berger and T. Lukman, as well as the theory of A. Schutz. Particular attention is paid to the sociological conceptualization of the phenomenon of military identity of ATO / UFO participants. The content of the concepts "post-military identity transit" and "military identity" and the ratio of the respective phenomena are analyzed.
Based on the analysis and rethinking of the ideas of A. Schutz, P. Berger and T. Lukman, as well as the identification of key factors and actors influencing the post-military identity transit of ATO / OOS participants, the phenomena of military identity and military-to-civilian transit of identity are conceptualized.
It is emphasized that the military identity is constructed in the process of communication between the participants of the interaction. It is noted that specific practices acquired as a result of participation in hostilities appear in the life of the ATO / OOS participant as hidden knowledge that is reproduced outside the military environment and becomes an effective way of constructing reality.
Such groups of ATO / OOS participants as citizens who have chosen military service as a profession have been singled out; mobilized to the ranks of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) or the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) (6 waves of mobilization during 2014-2015); as well as volunteers who participated in battalions and other armed formations that are not part of the active army of Ukraine. The thesis is that military-to-civilian transit of the identity of the representatives of these groups will differ due to different experience of recruitment to the Armed Forces or other armed formations of Ukraine, differences in the conditions of stay in the combat area and so on.
The key factors influencing the post-military transit of the identity of combatants, constructing and reconstructing the military identity, namely: contrast of everyday life in the war zone and everyday life of peace, return to comfort, superior attitude of ATO / OOS participants to civilians, orientations, differences in perceptions of conflict, family and military fraternity. It is emphasized that the theoretical provisions, generalizations and conclusions presented in the paper, as well as the author's hypotheses can be used in further scientific and practical studies of this and related topics, as well as for developing state programs of social integration of combatants into peaceful life
