The paper presents the results of qualitative field research about the phenomenon of NEETs - Not (engaged) in Education, Employment or Training - investigated with the constructivist Grounded Theory methodology. The research, which involved 82 young people aged between 18 and 24 years, began in November 2015 and ended with the analysis of data collected in December 2018. In line with the methodological indications of the constructivist Grounded Theory (GT) (Charmaz, 2000, 2006, 2014), field research was immediately accompanied by open coding, using all that was useful for saturation of the categories.The constant critical reflection, conducted throughout the process of my research, has led to detect and define 3 core categories that are fundamental to the definition of a substantive theory. The permanent orientation emerges as a social need because it promotes and increases the psychological well-being of NEETs. The comparison between the "initial" questions of research and the 3 core categories, conceptually valid, allowed me to start the process of focusing and analyzing the possible correlations. Correlations capable of supporting a scientifically strong definition, for the proposal of a substantive theory, emerging from the three initial questions of the research.1. How do you "selfassess" NEETs with respect to the world of work? Psychological area: to understand the characteristics of the NEET individual. How to contribute to its identity awareness about operating (occupying and acting) a role. To train him/her to reflect on his/her own interests, in accordance with his/her own authentic purposeful Self (Di Fabio, 2014). The question aims to understand how:a) to increase the capacity to make choices (Self confidence in decision making);b) to make them feel/perceive that they are ready (Self efficacy and Self capability);c) to raise the skills to manage problems (Self-empowerment and problem solving).2. How do NEETs live their "condition"? Psychosociological area: to investigate the context and environment of NEETs' life. The answers to this question must allow them to understand what they are, first and foremost:a) the causes to which they attribute their current NEET situation (external/internal);b) the roads they would like to take to move towards work (Self orientation);c) their thoughts and attitudes towards current social policies (active/passive).3. How do you represent the labour market? Sociopsychological area: relationship aspect; ability to stay in relationships. In the answers you want to understand:a) what they thought when they were at school in the world of work (imagination about their own future);b) how their thoughts on the world of work are today compared to those years (alignment to their own reality).c) what knowledge, what information they possess of the working possibilities of their territory (awareness of employment opportunities). La ricerca, che ha coinvolto 82 giovani di età compresa tra 18 e 24 anni, è iniziata a novembre 2015 e si è conclusa con l'analisi dei dati raccolti a dicembre 2018. In linea con le indicazioni metodologiche della Grounded Theory (Charmaz, 2000, 2006, 2014), la ricerca sul campo è stata immediatamente accompagnata da una codifica aperta, utilizzando tutto ciò che è stato utile per la saturazione delle categorie.La costante riflessione critica, condotta durante tutto il processo della mia ricerca, ha portato a rilevare e definire 3 categorie fondamentali che sono fondamentali per la definizione di una teoria sostanziale. L'orientamento permanente emerge come un'esigenza sociale perché promuove e aumenta il benessere psicologico dei NEET. Il confronto tra le domande "iniziali" della ricerca e le 3 categorie fondamentali, concettualmente valide, mi ha permesso di iniziare il processo di focalizzazione e analisi delle possibili correlazioni. Correlazioni in grado di supportare una definizione scientificamente forte, per la proposta di una teoria sostanziale, che emerge dalle tre domande iniziali della ricerca.1. In che modo NEET "selfassess" rispetto al mondo del lavoro? Area psicologica: comprendere le caratteristiche dell'individuo NEET. Come contribuire alla consapevolezza dell'identità sull'operare (occupare e recitare) un ruolo. Formarlo per riflettere sui propri interessi, in accordo con il proprio Sé autentico e propositivo (Di Fabio, 2014). La domanda mira a capire come:a) aumentare la capacità di fare delle scelte (fiducia in se stessi nel processo decisionale);b) farli sentire / percepire di essere pronti (autoefficacia e capacità di auto);c) aumentare le competenze per gestire i problemi (auto-responsabilizzazione e risoluzione dei problemi).2. In che modo i NEET vivono la loro "condizione"? Area psicosociologica: indagare il contesto e l'ambiente della vita dei NEET. Le risposte a questa domanda devono consentire loro di capire cosa sono, innanzitutto:a) le cause alle quali attribuiscono la loro attuale situazione NEET (esterna / interna);b) le strade che vorrebbero percorrere per spostarsi verso il lavoro (orientamento personale);c) i loro pensieri e atteggiamenti nei confronti delle attuali politiche sociali (attivo / passivo).3. Come rappresenti il mercato del lavoro? Area socio-psicologica: aspetto relazionale; capacità di rimanere in relazione. Nelle risposte che vuoi capire:a) cosa hanno pensato quando erano a scuola nel mondo del lavoro (immaginazione per il proprio futuro);b) come sono oggi i loro pensieri sul mondo del lavoro rispetto a quegli anni (allineamento alla propria realtà).c) quali conoscenze, quali informazioni possiedono delle possibilità di lavoro del loro territorio (consapevolezza delle opportunità di lavoro). In this article I provide an appraisal of the neo-Gramscian approach to the study of international relations by focusing on three of its major exponents: Robert Cox, Stephen Gill and Adam Morton. I argue that neo-Gramscians have yet to adequately address some important challenges and criticisms of their method around its overly "top-down" mode of analysis, its neglect of forms of resistance and its excessively global and cosmopolitan account of neoliberal hegemony and especially resistance. I maintain that a return to the letter of Gramsci's writings on hegemony and its national-popular and democratic character would not only allow neo-Gramscians to address more effectively these weaknesses, but also strengthen their approach and align it more effectively with trends in contemporary politics.Keywords: Gramsci; International Relations; Hegemony; National-Popular.

There is very little scientific literature that considers the relationship between religions and an integral concept of Sustainable Development, including its three dimensions (social, economic and environmental), as proposed in the UN Sustainable Development Goals. It was necessary to conduct a study of this kind, with the aim of making visible and show with concrete data, the contribution of religions to the integral sustainability. This paper presents an empirical research in which we intend to make visible the actions performed by religious organizations in Catalonia, that have been contributing to the Sustainable Development. The study is the launching of the Sustainability and Religions Watch. This study about the contribution of religious organizations to the Sustainable Development has been made by a mixed method with two techniques for data collection: firstly, has counted the presence of indicators linked to the priority areas of Sustainable Development, from the analysis of the content of the websites of religious organizations (quantitative analysis). Moreover, semi-structured in-depth interviews were conducted to representatives of religious organizations (qualitative analysis). The study of the contribution of religions to the Sustainable Development opens new doors to interfaith dialogue because it is based on elements that are common between different beliefs. The scope of this thesis is application and impact of tools used in a service company connected with Operations Management. In order to improve quality and company's performance, the Total Quality Management (TQM) tool was used. TQM and all the concepts of quality control provides innovation not only to the company's organization (process management, services design, strategy) but especially to human resources management improvement in terms of both, short (profits) and longtime development (quality). Analysis is based on two years' personal experience in a ABC company which provides services for Pharma and Medical Device industries. The process of examining began with organization's S.W.O.T. analysis that provides important information about company strengths and weaknesses (internal environment), threats and opportunities (external environment). This approach helped to create four improvement strategies. Subsequently, by further analysis of this company's structure, I have performed the organizational performance improvement that could be approached on three different levels: organizational, process and employee. I have made an accurate study of each of them and what is more, I have pointed out all the errors that might occur. Successively, a strategy in terms "to be" that shows the performance improvement after application of new strategies, was presented. Analysis of the different process in the ABC company showed problems with invoices issuing process. Due to this, I decided to execute an analysis of "Order Management" process using Operations Management tools like Flow Charts, Graphics, Diagrams and Tables. It showed clearly company's situation in that area and helped easily to identify errors that are possible to occur. The improvement strategy was prepared for each of three mentioned previously levels, due to careful investigation of the responsibilities of each actor that takes part in the analyzed process. An important conclusion, that can be made thanks to the profound analysis of this subject, based on the ABC company processes examination, is the importance of the well-functioning human recourses. It is of high importance to manage employees with the Leadership approach that is also one of the Total Quality Management philosophical elements. As a result it shows that in order to improve company's performance, it is necessary to provide employee's empowerment and commitment.

The present study offers an overview of the policies and programs established by the European Union in the youth field, with a focus on non-formal learning initiatives and in particular on the European Voluntary Service program (EVS).

La tutela delle risorse ittiche rappresenta uno degli obiettivi principali della Politica comune della pesca (PCP), tenuto conto dello sfruttamento sempre più intensivo degli stock ittici da parte degli operatori di questo settore. Per tale motivo, la PCP, soprattutto nell'ultimo ventennio, ha emanato una molteplicità di provvedimenti normativi volti ad intensificare le operazioni di controllo all'interno della filiera ittica, dal momento della cattura fino alla prima vendita. Questo compito impegna in maniera assidua i militari del Corpo delle Capitanerie di Porto, i quali, investiti delle funzioni di polizia giudiziaria, sono chiamati a fronteggiare in prima linea le innumerevoli violazioni della normativa unionale/nazionale vigente, attraverso attività di monitoraggio che molto spesso si concludono con l'accertamento di reati penali. Con il presente lavoro si propone di affrontare, attraverso un caso concreto, l'influenza che l'evoluzione normativa, in materia di controlli sulla pesca, ha avuto nei confronti di un reato previsto dal Codice della Navigazione, che ha condotto la giurisprudenza di legittimità a non soffermarsi unicamente sul tenore letterale dell'articolo di riferimento, ma ad adottare una nuova chiave di lettura c.d. evolutiva. Nella fattispecie, è stata effettuata un'operazione di polizia giudiziaria da parte dei militari della Capitaneria di porto di Corigliano Calabro, i quali, in seguito ad una lunga attività d'indagine, hanno accertato l'alterazione, da parte del comandante di un peschereccio appartenente alla flotta coriglianese, del sistema satellitare di bordo obbligatorio (AIS), al fine di procurare a sé un ingiusto profitto, che ha portato alla contestazione in capo al medesimo del reato di falsa rotta ai sensi dell'art.1140 Cod. Nav. In seguito al ricorso in Cassazione presentato dalla difesa per conto dell'interessato, la Suprema Corte si è pronunciata sulla sussistenza del predetto reato, rammentando la necessità di una interpretazione sistematica ed evolutiva dell'articolo 1140 Cod. Nav., avendo riguardo al contesto più ampio della cogente normativa comunitaria.

Lo studio di questa tesi riguarda e supporta un'analisi comparata su una destinazione turistica molto nota: Taormina. La città di Taormina è situata nella parte est della regione Sicilia. L'obiettivo principale di questo studio è quello di stabilire e comprendere le ragioni principali che rendono così popolare questo tipo di località turistica, ma allo stesso tempo sarebbe utile ed opportuno scoprire le chiavi di lettura di particolari immagini e simboli che possono accrescere il flusso turistico, promuovere lo sviluppo urbanistico ed incoraggiare la crescita economica incrementando gli arrivi di turisti.

In the last two decades, in the field of Italian educational policy, there have been lines of development concerning school-work alternance (i.e. programmes that involve alternating periods of attendance at educational institutions and participation in work-based training sometimes referred to as "sandwich" programmes). Although many researches and gathering data have been carried out (monitoring the school-work rotation programs that were realized by INDIRE and MIUR), we don't have significant quantitative or qualitative outcomes that can point out the strongest aspects of this methodology. The aim of this paper is to identify the efficacy and efficiency of school work alternate experiences, in order to point out principal possible positive and negative factors. For this research a south district was chosen and secondary schools (14 in total) were selected with all kind of school (Technical, Vocational, Liceo). School-work alternance, is investigated as situated learning practice and through the activity theory of third generation, because the acquisition of the expertise can beensured only by two aspects: multi-contestuality and school boundary crossing. In this perspective individuals need to act in different contexts. To conduct this research is used the mixed method as a way to gather as much as possible information about a complex phenomenon.This educational research is part of the line of studies that deals with the construction of conceptual models and the re-elaboration of international research results (e. g. Nowadays, the striking proliferation of Big Data and the new scientific tools provided by the emerging field of Data Science finally offers the opportunity to realize a longstanding dream of scientists and policy makers: drawing a comprehensive picture of human social behavior. Big Data, indeed, hide a huge amount of predictive power, which can be exploited by governments and companies to unveiling and understanding the complexity underlying our society. In the present thesis we propose a multidimensional study of human social behavior, aimed to understand how the social network, the mobility behavior and the economic wellness of people in a big European country are connected to each other. To this end we exploit the access to a big mobile phone dataset provided by the French company Orange. Thanks to Big Data management tools like Hadoop, we computed several individual measures, each describing different aspects of the social or mobility behavior of individuals. Our analysis revealed very interesting and striking findings. Firstly, the observation at neighborhood level of the three biggest cities in France (Paris, Marseille, Lyon) uncovers a very strong correlation between the social diversification and the mobile predictability. People who equally diversify their calls over the social contacts tend to have a more erratic mobile behavior. Moreover, an even more interesting relationships emerged between the mobile behavior and the economic status: mobility diversity is strongly correlated with some indexes of economic wellness. These striking results leaves no room for doubt: the greater the diversification of the mobile behavior of people within a territory, the higher their economic prosperity. Such findings open interesting future perspective about the study of human social behavior. New statistical indexes can be defined which rely on mobile phone data to describe and predict the actual and future economic health of a territory. Nowadays education is a global value and a particular challenge for all countries. The European Parliament during the Lisbon European Council (2010) stated that: "The rapid and accelerating pace of change means it is urgent for the Union to act now to harness the full benefits of the opportunities presented. Hence the need for the Union to set a clear strategic goal and agree a challenging programme for building knowledge infrastructures, enhancing innovation and economic reform, and modernising social welfare and education systems." All countries need to be aware of the problems and difficulties that education has especially the ones related to school career outcome in terms of performances, delays and school leaving phenomena that is a touching point for the European Union in the educational field. The European Union defines school-leavers those people aged 18 to 24 who have an educational degree that includes pre-primary, primary, secondary school or higher education, not greater than two years. In Italy school-leavers are students who leave school before the age of sixteen, which marks the end of the compulsory education period. The European Union explains that school-leavers are easily exposed to unemployment, they often need social subsidies for a longer period compared to better educated unemployed subjects and they have a higher risk of social exclusion. This leads to negative consequences both in countries' welfare and health systems. Finally, they are less involved in the "democratic process". The aim of European Parliament is a 10% reduction of the school-leaving rate before 2020 for people aged between 18 and 24. As it emerges from a MIUR statistic, the Italian condition is alarming. Italy is second in the OECD school-leaving rate ranking, with 17.75% of students under 25 failing to complete their higher education career. In my thesis I can't actually study the school-leaving issue as a whole because I don't dispose of sufficient information to follow all the students until the end of their school careers. This is the reason why I have decided to focus on a different aspect: the success or failure of school career meaning the achievement of the high school diploma in time, in case of success, or with a delay in case of failure. My work introduces a statistical study of the school career outcome in secondary and higher education concerning the scholastic population of Pisa Province with the aim of identifying which educational/social/economical variables are the keys to explain the success or failure outcome in the students careers. The statistical study was directed by Pisa Province OSP following the scholastic careers of a cohort of 3185 students who attended secondary and high schools in Pisa Province. The longitudinal data for the students of the cohort were collected over 8 years, since sy 2005/2006, first year of secondary school, until sy 2012/2013, the last year of high school, i.e. the completion of the legal duration of secondary education in Italy.
