The emotions are natural reactions in all the human beings. But although the emotions often have irrational characteristic expressions, it is necessary that they respect the parameters of the functional behavior. This article offers an approach about the relationship between emotion and rationality, looking for the possibility of conceiving a notion of rational love. In this approach, we used the theory of rationality of emotions of Jon Elster, concluding that the possibility of a rational love is based on the evaluation of causal lines and beliefs that support our conception of love.
This paper presents a study that seeks to items on the various legal reforms that have maximized the debate about the need for protection of women against violence suffered because of their gender. The question to be resolved by the law, as the legal system, is to determine which is the surest way to guarantee to protect women as subjects of law. This is particularly important when discussing transitional justice mechanisms such as Colombia, where the victims of sexual crimes constitute a large universe of women who have suffered particular forms of violence because of the actions of the actors in the internal armed conflict.
Since 2002, something unusual has been happening at the traffic lights in Puerto Ordaz: young Warao children and Warao women - whether older women or those cradling babies in their arms - are begging money from drivers. These 'non-places' (Auge, 1993), are the social scene where 'Indians' are being constructed in a negative image they have never had before. The main goal of this study is to look into urban 'common sense' to identify and interpret what it says about Warao Indians. Among our theoretical principles are the following: a), territory, place and city are not realities independent of the perceiver, but cultural constructions; b) common sense is both a transdiscursive dimension and a process-product of social hermeneutics, which allows people to elaborate 'truths' that make sense of reality; c) territory and places are cultural, historical-political constructions, which allow people to construct social identifications; d) subjective and trans-subjective identity is a complex, contradictory discursive process-product construction of Otherness and Ourness. Our methodological approach is exploratory-descriptive and interpretative, through a triangulation among focus-groups, interviews and nonparticipant observation. The basic technique used was discourse analysis, applied to three discourse categories: 'living discourse' (from members of the public), 'official discourse' (from local government) and 'public discourse' (in local newspapers).
This article introduces the results and the methodological guidelines derived from a piece of research carried out by the State Observatory of Forced Displacement in Antioquia (ODDIF), in order to estimate the state of Full Possession of Rights of the population victim of forced displacement in the State of Antioquia. This piece of research was carried out as a response to the Proceedings of Follow-up and the orders given in the sentence T-025 as of 2004 of the Constitutional Court. To think today a pedagogy that asks for peace seems to be a matter of conjuncture, a stomach response to current issues, but it would be pertinent to recognize that this theme was already part of the "utopian anticipations" of the classics of pedagogy; Comenius, Rousseau, Kant, Pestalozzi, Herbart, Freire, among others.
Objectives. To investigate the relationship between memory and archive records established by researchers of the Colombian armed conflict. Methodology. Taking a state-of-the-art perspective, this paper analyses the secondary information produced and disseminated in Colombia in the last decade related to the collective memory of the conflict. This study of the production of documents allows us to identify the characteristics present in the description, analysis and interpretation that researchers make. In other words, rather than a simple compilation and organisation of the respective studies, we formulate hypotheses and suggest future paths for studying the records. Results. This article is based on an assessment of the research undertaken in the last decade in Colombia that take expressions of collective memory as their focus in analysing the armed conflict. In the specific case of the archives, the studies analysed allow us to make a diagnosis of the current situation regarding the protection of human rights in the country. Three main themes emerge: first, the need to build an inventory of human rights records, which represent a very broad and disperse heritage, among which are included: the records of the government, those of organizations of victims and relatives and of human rights defence groups, of investigative commissions and law courts, as well as those held in private collections focused on individuals involved in the conflict or which address topics related to the conflict. Second, there is an obvious urgency to compile the materials and organize the heritage, among which are to be found the documents that report the ephemeral testimonies of the victims, which have served to support the researchers in their work. Third and finally, the importance of thinking from within the perspective provided by the archival sciences is more than apparent, given the fundamental role played by the records as the memory and testimony of society, especially in a country that has suffered such violence and where the victims more often than not have no documents that help them assert their rights.
Two questions of the present society: the unequal relationship between men and women, and the types of family established, for the analysis, is taken up the research of Federico Engels, "The Origin of the Family, Private Property and the State", which Allows us to look retrospectively at the formation of the human race, its first forms of family, of social, sexual relationships and how this has been the basis of what we have now.
The discussions now going on in Colombia by the announcement of aggressive projects consisting of gold holdings in the open, would not occur if we were not attending on the planet to the growth of a giant bubble around the metal.
Political parties in Colombia have received some training sui generis, not initially created as a school of thought itself, second, because the parties only solidify almost 100 years after independence, and third, because these have been sources of wars and political instability, the previous attempt to test hypotheses through a historical, political and economic to account for changes in the country contrast between past and present and future of these groups access to power.
Marxist heterodox thinkers such as Antonio Gramsci and his ideas about the State, to a large extent, influenced the debates of a large number of Marxist intellectuals in Latin America, as was the case of René Zavaleta Mercado, a Bolivian intellectual whose main theoretical contribution is having analyzed and explained the Bolivian State from its own history, political condition, cultural elements, ideology and characteristics of Bolivian society.
