e : Francesco Maria Vialardi, fra filosofia, storia, politica e teatro ; The Sky sometimes laughs or cries: Francesco Maria Vialardi, between Philosophy, History, Politics and Theater
; The objective of this doctoral thesis is to trace, by using new and unpublished documents, the less-known biography and literary work of Vercelli's writer Francesco Maria Vialardi. The work is presented in three main Parts: Part 1. A life in the glory of imperial heraldry, Part 2. The years before and after imprisonment, and Part 3. An explorer of the social and political life. The first Chapter covers the author's life from his birth to his transition to adulthood. The second five-Chapter Part elaborates the period when the author was accepted in the prestigious Accademia della Crusca and his comment to the Tasso's Conquistata, closing up with the period of his imprisonment in the Rome's Santo Ufficio Prison. The second and third Chapters of the last part are dedicated to the analysis of Vialardi's political and literary work. Faithful to the literary context of the Accademia degli Umoristi, his latest contribution «AMOR SOL MERTA Amore». Among the letters of Ridolfo Campeggi to Maffeo Barberini, the revision of the poem of the Lagrime di Maria Vergine and the wonderful theatrical representation in Bologna of the Quattro elementi (Four Elements) is a distinguished piece of work that creates a literary bridge between the settings of Rome and Bologna. Key elements of this last chapter are the unpublished correspondence between Cardinal M. Barberini and the poet R. Campeggi, as well as the Bologna's play Quattro elementi (Four Elements).

; The dramatization of history. A study of the late twentieth century through the Italian storytelling theater
; In the eighties of the twentieth century a particular theatrical form appeared in Italy, which is known today as teatro di narrazione (storytelling theater). The storytelling theater has among its best actors and writers those involved in telling contemporary history in order to revive the memory of past events. Marco Baliani, Marco Paolini and Ascanio Celestini are among the actors who now better represent this artistic movement. The purpose of this thesis is to show how their performances are created and spread and to analyze the relationship between historical sources and drama texts of three events in the history of Italy: Mr Aldo Moro's murder, the slaughter of the Fosse Ardeatine and the massacre of Ustica. Particular attention is devoted to the international debate between history and fiction, to the analysis of the relationship between narrators and the public opinion, between morality and politics, and to the study of patronage and economic factors of these performances.

KONIG LIR/KOROL' LIR. IL RE LEAR YIDDISH E SOVIETICO
The aim of this work is to bring back to light a forgotten masterpiece of the Goset (the Moscow State Yiddish Theater), the King Lear produced in 1935, directed by Sergey Radlov. The great Solomon Mikhoels was assigned the role of Lear and Venjamin Zuskin was an extraordinary Fool. The actor's interpretations are considered landmarks in the history of both yiddish and world theater. There are a few studies on this production, while the Goset and its King Lear should be between the pages of the Twentieth century theater. The Goset was a distinguished victim of the history of the century. Gordon Craig admired the Goset and its director Michoels so much that to study the Goset's King Lear can reveal a lot about Craig's idea of theater. To study this King Lear means to consider the history of the Goset and sovietic politics in art's matters. This work could benefit of a lot of orginal documents from the Goset's history so that it is possible to point out the importance of King Lear in theater history.
