20 Jahre nach dem Ende des "Kalten Krieges" sind die euphorischen Anfangserwartungen an ein neues vereintes Europa einer spürbaren Nüchternheit sowie einer differenzierten, zum Teil widersprüchlichen Selbstwahrnehmung in "Ost" und "West" gewichen. Dies trifft nicht zuletzt auch auf die kirchlichen und theologischen Entwicklungen in den postkommunistischen Ländern zu. Dieser Band stellt im Stile eines Kaleidoskops osteuropäische Momentaufnahmen zusammen, die vielfältige Einblicke in die Heterogenität osteuropäischer Identitätsfindung in Theologie, Kirche und Gesellschaft ermöglichen.

Statius is receiving a much more positive approaches nowadays than years ago. They are really contributing to his recent rehabilitation. However, this new situation has not meant in practice a better understanding of the Thebaid's divine machine. More concretely, Jupiter's hesitations about his relationship with fatum are still considered narrative incoherences. Obviously enough, the ontological and theological status of Zeus-Jupiter was profoundly unstable throughout the whole of Greek and Roman literary tradition. Even so, classical scholarship still try to explain the Statian Jupiter in the light of the Stoic Providence that, almost aporeticly, semper paret, semel iussit (Sen., Dial. I 5.8.9). In this paper I shall bring up some Ovidian and Senecan passages, but I shall not appeal to the theologian Seneca, but to the political thinker. I hope to show that Thebaid' Jupiter bears strong resemblances to Ovidian rector Olympi and to Senecan ciuitatis rector. ; Desde hace ya unos años, la figura de Estacio está siendo objeto de una constante rehabilitación. Ello, sin embargo, no ha tenido como contrapartida una mejor comprensión del aparato divino de la Tebaida ni, concretamente, de las incoherencias (o indecisiones) en que Júpiter incurre a la hora de definir su relación con el fatum. Obviando el hecho de que el estatuto ontológico y teológico de Zeus-Júpiter es altamente inestable desde el momento fundacional del género épico, hay una tendencia clara a seguir apelando hoy día a la similitud que este padre de los dioses guarda con la Providencia estoica que, casi aporéticamente, semper paret, semel iussit (Sen., Dial. I 5.8.9). En el presente estudio, plantearemos como alternativa a esta perspectiva el estudio de ciertos pasajes de Ovidio y del Séneca pensador político, no teólogo. Veremos cómo el Júpiter estaciano guarda inopinadas similitudes con el ovidiano rector Olympi y con el senecano ciuitatis rector.

La modernidad presenta un quiebre entre lo sagrado y la vida cotidiana. El ámbito de lo sacro pasa a ser discursivo; el hombre ya no encuentra un auténtico sentido a su vida. Ante el creciente proceso de secularización, aparecen los intentos de sustitución de Dios por la autoridad del pueblo, la ley, la nación, la raza, la clase, la ciencia. La ideología se convirtió en el sucedáneo más eficaz. Las más importantes del S. XX, nacidas y desarrolladas en Europa pero de alcance mundial, fueron el comunismo y las distintas formas de nacionalismo. La Revolución Rusa presentó una ideología devenida en teología laica. En los años veinte y treinta, surgieron partidos de masa antibolcheviques, sobre todo en Italia y Alemania -fascismo y nacionalsocialismo-, basados también en postulados de teología política. Todos ellos prometían el fin de la alienación y una sociedad mejor y más justa. La Iglesia católica no fue ajena al proceso de complejización de la sociedad urbana tecnomaquinista y sus derivados secularizantes. Pronto debió competir con las "nuevas religiones laicas", particularmente en términos de la educación de la juventud. Pero mientras que con el comunismo ateo no existía ninguna posibilidad de diálogo, con el fascismo y el nacionalsocialismo existió una relación ambigua y tirante, basada en concertaciones y enfrentamientos por igual. ; Modernity presents a rupture between the sacred and everyday life. The realm of the sacred becomes discursive, man no longer fi nds an authentic meaning to his life. With the growing process of secularization, intents to replace God with the peoples authority, the law, the nation, race, class and science appear. Ideology has become the most eff ective substitute. Communism and diff erent forms of nationalism where born in Europe in the 20th century but their reach was worldwide. The Russian Revolution presented an ideology turned secular theology. In the twenties and thirties anti-bolchevik mass parties emerged, particularly in Italy and Germany -fascism and nationalsocialism- based also on principles of political theology. All of them promised an end to alienation and a better and fairer society. The Catholic church was not immune to the process of the greater complexity of the techno-machinist urban society and its secularized derivatives. Soon it was forced to compete with the "new secular religions", particularly in terms of youth education. But while with communism exist impossibility of dialogue, with fascism and nazism there was an ambiguous and tense relationship, based on agreements and confrontations alike. ; Fil: Cagni, Horacio Carlos.
