What holds together the social order? This question recurs even in post-traditional conceptions of the social bond and, explicitly or implicitly, leads to the relationship between power and pre-political sources of the legitimacy. Secularization is not liberation from the religious. The fact that politics, with modernity, occupy the space of religion charges politics itself of a supplementary symbolic function. The economic theology is not a paradigm change: neither the obliteration of political theology and its replacement with a different model. Is it useful today, or necessary, an interpretation of the Code of Canon Law from Christology? The article examines some opposition which consider as inappropriate to search for foundations or links from "outside" the Code itself and the normal legislative living tradition of the Catholic Church. The Second Vatican Council and Pope John Paul II sponsored a theological interpretation of the Code, and this article summarizes some features of the validation, method, and the successful application of an interdisciplinary "hermeneutic model" of the Theology of the Canon Law (Christology, anthropological co-references, moral theology, and the process of production and implementation of the Canons) in Catholic universities.

Markus Mühling präsentiert eine epistemologische Theorie der Offenbarung als Wahrnehmung und eine relational-narrative Ontologie auf der Basis des Begriffs dramatischer Kohärenz im Dialog mit basalen Fragen der Neurowissenschaften und der Evolutionsbiologie. Das dreieinige Leben kann nicht als Ausnahme der Ontologie verstanden werden, sondern als entscheidende Bedingung ihrer Möglichkeit. Mühling zeigt ferner, dass bestimmte theologische Fragen besser gelöst werden können, wenn neue Einsichten der Naturwissenschaften, wie beispielsweise die Theorie des ökologischen Gehirns oder die Theorie der evolutionären Nischenkonstruktion, berücksichtigt werden. Ebenso zeigt er, dass Neurobiologie und Evolutionsbiologie aus dem Gespräch mit der Theologie wichtige Vorteile ziehen können.

El objetivo principal de este artículo es el de presentar y evaluar críticamente la existencia y el funcionamiento de una racionalidad económica neoliberal en el actual neoconservadurismo católico contemporáneo. La teología neoconservadora es portadora de una ética religiosa de mercado que detecta en la tradición religiosa judeocristiana una serie de virtudes morales y espirituales útiles para intentar justificar teológicamente la globalización neoliberal. Como estudio de caso, se toman en consideración los planteamientos político–religiosos de la teología neoliberal estadounidense, particularmente la versión del teólogo católico Michael Novak. ; The aim of this paper is to present and critically evaluate the existence and the functioning of neoliberal economic rationality in contemporary Catholic neoconservatism. This rationality brings in market religious ethics since it detects a series of useful moral and spiritual virtues in the Judeo-Christian religious tradition that attempt to theologically justify neoliberal globalization.
