This is a collection of postcards and letters sent from German and Italian POWs at Defense Depot Ogden during World War II. The correspondence was sent home to family and loved ones and all passed through the United States Censorship office. It also includes one postcard sent from a prison guard home to his friends. It also includes one postcard sent from a prison guard home to his friends. ; 3 x 5 in. postcard ; Dearest Mother! Thank you for the kind words you wrote on January 31. I wrote to you many times and it is hard for me to understand that all of you, who are so dear to me, have not received any letters from me for more than six months. I assume that the censors office seized them. I would love to know for what reason. But we have to keep our heads up. I wish you good health and hope that we will see each other again very soon. Give my best regards to Hansy and Ferd. Is she back from Vienna yet? I hope so. Best wishes and kisses Walter
