La démarche poétique de Claire Lejeune ; The poetic approach of Claire Lejeune ; El método poético de Claire Lejeune
Claire Lejeune, the Belgian francophone poet and essayist, was born in 1926, and is well now known in feminist studies in Quebec and the United States. However, as of yet, no doctoral thesis has been elaborated on her work. We have restricted the corpus of the Ph D. to the author's essays, and will consider her lyrical poetry and her theatrical production material in further research projects. It must be taken into account that the author's essays are noted for their personal "poetic essay" form. The fundamental questions that her body of essays poses are those of the philosophers of her time, questions such as: can poetry have political and ethical functions? How can poiesis, that is creation, influence the world about us? And from where must it be expressed to achieve such functional performances. These questions exclude the political sphere as put forward by Plato in favour of rational thinking which has helped sustain philosophy. If we further this premises, then we must assume that philosophy has the right to negotiate ethical and political considerations in the heart of the city. However, Plato did not reject the possible return to poetry in an attempt to test its utility. It is for this reason that contemporary philosophers continue returning to this essential founding action as a fundamental condition of their practice, but, at the same time, question the legitimacy of this exile and thus revindicate the ethical and political aspects of a poetry that they consider "thinking poetry" or "poetics".Our research examines the nature of the hybrid writing of these "poetic essays". In a fundamentally romantic act, discourse aims to effectively join poetry and philosophy which have been separated since ancient times so as to prepare the grounds for rational logic. As an alternative to rational logic, based on the principals of identity, no contradiction and third excluded, which have founded not only philosophy but have constructed History as the history of patriarchy. The authoress therefore propose an alternative manner to rationalise the world. The question now posed is: in what consists thought considered from a non-logical point of view. We believe that it consists in a hermeneutics based on an analogy which includes the third and deconstructs identities. ; 624 p.

Les Femmes dans les structures urbaines -- apercu d'un nouveau champ de recherche
In: Canadian journal of political science: CJPS = Revue canadienne de science politique : RCSP, Band 17, Heft 4, S. 755-782

Since the early 1970s, the question of gender has generated a significant amount of research. Investigation of the role of women in cities (eg, in relation to components of the Ur structure such as transportation & housing) has shown that women have a variety of relations with the organization of social space. Results to date help to clarify the main aspects of these relationships & to assess the relevance of these kinds of inquiries. Trends include focus on changing M-F relationships in the Ur context. It is suggested that the strengths & weaknesses of future research will emerge at two levels: theory building in the area of gender politics, & continuing investigations of this question in the context of more traditional approaches to Ur politics. Pouvoir aux femmes ou femmes au pouvoir?: le mouvement des femmes roumaines en debat (1929-1944)
In: Studia politica: Romanian political science review ; revista română de ştiinţă politică, Band 5, Heft 3, S. 665-694
The author places the beginnings of the "de-construction" of feminism in Romania in the timeframe between 1929 and 1944. It was a period of confrontation among the organisations and their leaders, especially within the two major organizations, respectively the Union of Romanian Women, with its leaders Maria Baiulescu and Elena Meissener, and the National Group of Romanian Women, represented by Alexandrina Cantacuzino. The theoretical conflict between the two associations concerned the participation of women in the structures of parties: the Union of Romanian Women was favourable to participation in the existing structures, while the National Group of Romanian Women sought to create a separate party of women. Meantime, some regulatory breakthroughs for women's participation in political affairs were the Administrative Law of 1929, granting women the right to vote in local elections (maintaining the electoral colleges based on class and property qualifications), and the Law of 1939 further extending women's suffrage to the general elections, as King Charles II's authoritarian regime planned the inclusion of women in the Front of National Rebirth. In the conditions of WWII, the Romanian feminist movement underwent a change in emphasis from a preoccupation with political rights, to the destiny of soldiers of the front, and a return to the initial purpose of charity. This shift is also due to the authoritarian regime of Antonescu, which forced women to reinitiate the charity programme, one that was never really abandoned, but which had been somewhat shadowed by the struggle for political rights.
