Статья посвящена специфике подготовки школьников к конкурсу письменной речи – творческому письму на Всероссийской олимпиаде (ВсОШ) по английскому языку. Авторы намечают траекторию подготовки обучающихся к успешному выступлению на конкурсе. Многие школьники не знакомы с особенностями формата написания различных жанров творческого письма, некоторые из них не справляются с решением поставленной в задании коммуникативной задачи, а также возникают другие проблемные вопросы. Был проведен сравнительно-сопоставительный анализ результатов выступления школьников на ВсОШ. В работе был реализован контент-анализ заданий по написанию статьи, которая является одним из видов творческого письма. Авторы приводят примеры заданий, в ходе выполнения которых школьники учатся писать статью, решая поставленную коммуникативную задачу и соблюдая все требования, которые влияют на успешность выполнения конкурсного задания. Материалы исследовательской работы прошли апробацию в Муниципальном бюджетном учреждении дополнительного образования при Городском психологическом центре г. Барнаула «Потенциал» в рамках работы школы для одаренных детей в период 2021–2022 гг. Разработанный лингводидактический материал и обозначенная траектория подготовки участников к написанию творческого письма будут способствовать развитию общей системы поддержки одаренных детей. Статья может быть полезна специалистам в области составления методических пособий по подготовке к Всероссийской олимпиаде школьников по английскому языку, а также разработчикам заданий для данной олимпиады и преподавателям, занимающимся подготовкой обучающихся к ней.
The article is devoted to students' preparation for the creative letter writing in the All-Russian Olympiad in English. The authors outline the trajectory of students' successful performing at the competition. Many students are not familiar with the format peculiarities of the creative letter different genres, some of them cannot solve the communicative task, etc. The paper presents a comparative analysis of the students' results at the competition. In the work, a content analysis of writing assignments, which is a type of creative writing, was implemented. The research presents the tasks that help students write the article, solving the communicative task and following all the necessary requirements that contribute to a successful task completion. The research material was tested in the Municipal Budgetary Institution of Supplementary Education at Barnaul City Psychological Center "Potentsial" within the framework of the school for gifted children in the period from 2021 to 2022. The designed linguodidactic material and the suggested trajectory of participants' teaching of the creative letter writing will contribute to the development of the system of gifted children support. The article may present interest for specialists creating workbooks devoted to the All-Russian Olympiad in English, for those who create tasks for it as well as teachers preparing students for participation in the competition.

Abstract. Social and political changes bring the interest to academic writing into life, however, educational realia specify the content of academic writing that is relevant for Russia. Teaching predominantly non-academic students could be distinguished as the first factor that determines specific content in native tradition. The second factor deals with the structuring of the educational process: teaching academic writing is a two-staged process abroad while in Russia we miss one of the stages (generally the initial one). Practical teaching experience enables to single out an additional factor, i.e. a leading approach to teaching academic writing. In case with the genre-based approach, a number of genres of academic texts are on the focus. If one tends to a process-oriented writing, then some rhetorical elements could be included into the content. In the article the author specifies and systematizes both genres and rhetorical elements relevant for Russian educational needs. They overlap if we pay attention to sociocultural peculiarities of the genres and their rhetorical structure in English. Introduction of the sociocultural aspect reflects the needs of person oriented approach as it motivates students to academic writing learning. ; Аннотация. В статье сделана попытка систематизировать и конкретизировать содержание обучения английскому академическому письму для лингвистов на ступени бакалавриата. На отбор содержания влияет ряд факторов. В частности, автор выделяет такие отличительные особенности в отечественной практике преподавания академического письма, как обучение студентов без предварительной базы (non-academic students) и отсутствие двухэтапной системы подготовки специалистов в иноязычном письменном профессиональном общении, а именно отсутствие двух учебных дисциплин на первом и последнем курсах. Современные методы и подходы в системе среднего образования позволяют заниматься исследовательской деятельностью школьникам разных возрастных категорий с учетом их индивидуальных интеллектуальных потребностей и возможностей. Ощущение удовлетворения учащихся от успешного выполнения учебно-исследовательской работы повышает у них познавательную активность и интерес как к самому процессу обучения, так и к дальнейшей исследовательской деятельности в будущем. В данной статье актуализируется проблема написания учебно-исследовательских работ учащихся среднеобразовательных учреждений в соответствии с требованиями Государственного образовательного стандарта среднего образования. На основе теоретического анализа психолого-педагогической литературы и практического многолетнего опыта работы в качестве члена жюри в секции «Иностранные языки» на различных этапах научно -практической конференции учащихся «Шаг в будущее» авторы предлагают практические рекомендации по подготовке к написанию и представлению учебно-исследовательских работ в аспекте изучения иностранного языка.
Modern methods and approaches in the secondary education system allow pupils of different age categories to engage in research activities, taking into account their individual intellectual needs and capabilities. The feeling of satisfaction of pupils from the successful completion of educational research work increases their cognitive activity and interest both in the learning process itself and in further research activities in the future.This article actualizes the problem of writing educational and research papers by students of secondary educational institutions in accordance with the requirements of the State Educational Standard of Secondary Education. Based on the theoretical analysis of psychological and pedagogical literature and practical longterm experience as a member of the jury in the "Foreign Languages" section at various stages of the scientific-practical conference of schoolchildren "Step into the Future", the authors offer practical recommendations for writing and presenting educational and research work in the aspect of learning a foreign language.

Abstract. Russian universities are now involved into a severe competition for university rankings with a special focus on academics publishing in international journals. The directive demand from the government meets the understandable response in terms of quantification, which does not reflect the quality of published research, nor does it foster pursuit for such quality. Establishing writing centers in leading universities seems to help solve the problem on the qualitative basis. However, to implement the policy aimed at raising the quality of research papers, Russia needs more than local, optional institutions or even a volunteer association of writing centers, such as the newly established Russian Consortium. To be taken seriously by governmental bodies and the academic community, academic writing ought to be introduced as a discipline taught at all levels of education. The concept of an interuniversity writing center, based on the financial support from universities is considered to be the most appropriate decision at the initial stage of the development of academic writing, for it will unite Russian experts and enable them to work openly and independently for the whole nation, and not only for a particular institution. ; Аннотация. Обучение письменной речи на иностранном языке является одной из задач иноязычного образования в силу растущей популярности данного вида речевой деятельности в ходе коммуникации, реализующейся в процессе профессионального и личного Интернет-общения в социальных сетях, по электронной почте.Авторы статьи освещают основные теоретические и практические аспекты обучения письменной речи студентов языковых факультетов вуза посредством веб-квеста: особенности письма как вида речевой деятельности, систему упражнений для обучения письменной речи на английском языке.В ходе исследования преподаватели анализируют основные платформы для создания веб-квеста, выявляют их преимущества и недостатки при работе над обучением иноязычной письменной речи. В статье также приводятся практические результаты экспериментальной работы, проведенной со студентами языкового факультета вуза, в ходе которой был апробирован разработанный составителями комплекс упражнений для обучения письменной речи на английском языке на основе веб-квестов.
Teaching writing in a foreign language is one of the tasks of foreign language education because of the growing popularity of this type of speech activity in the course of foreign language communication, implemented through professional and personal Internet communication in social networks, e-mail.The authors of the article cover the main theoretical and practical aspects of teaching writing with the help of web quest: peculiarities of writing as a type of speech activity, the system of exercises for teaching writing in English.In the study the authors analyze the main platforms for creating a web quest, identify their advantages and disadvantages when working on teaching foreign language writing. The article also presents the practical results of the experimental work, during which a set of exercises developed by the authors for teaching writing with the help of web quests was tested.

The author analyzes the views of the famous philosopher, sociologist and politician Petr Struve, whose ideas have enduring relevance in view of the problems of maintaining state unity and developing both culture and national identity. The main object of this research is Struve's views on the essence of the state and national culture and on their role in the life of Russia. It is indicated that the position of the thinker presupposed a certain historiosophy – an interpretation of history as a process of development of spiritual culture. The features of Peter Struve's liberal-conservatism and his understanding of the state as a "collective personality", possessing a "superintelligent" nature are considered. The philosopher's approach, which aimed at analyzing the seamless connection between state, culture and nationality is analyzed. The author considers how the thinker interpreted the essence of nationality and nationalism, as well as criticized the radical intelligentsia's "official nationalism" and "absence of a feeling of national belonging". She examines the philosopher's views on the outstanding role of the state in Russian history and his understanding of such "fatal" reasons of its destruction as the insufficient involvement of the cultivated elements of the nobility in the ruling of the state as well as the belated abolition of serfdom law. The author also explains Struve's views on the slogan of class struggle as decisively contributing to the cultural decomposition of the nation and to undermining the unity of the state. She also addresses the views of P.B. Struve, G.P. Fedotov and S.L. Frank concerning the reasons why the sense of national identity was weak in Russia. She concludes that, according to Struve, one of the reasons for the revolutionary radical upheavals in the country was the fact that the radical intelligentsia sowed in the broad masses of the people the ideological poison of "anti-state rebellion" and the "spirit of Bolshevism". This contributed to a weak demand for national-state ideals and liberal-conservative ideas.

Analyzing them briefly, the author of this paper discusses the Zinoviev's idea of time as a social and historical construction which differs from the time of the classical Newtonian physics and changes according to the process of transformation of each society. Zinoviev asserts that the Soviet Union was the first in the world supersociety which lived for the communist future. After its collapse, a global capitalistic supersociety of the West dominated the world. In social and political terms it seeks to strenghten undemocratic aspect of the society and transform democracy into a camouflage for the totalitarian state rule. Zinoviev criticizes these two types of supercocieties which in spite of their differences carry with them a dehumanization. For the first time in regional historiography, the author carried out a comprehensive historiographic analysis of information on ethnography, linguistics, religious studies, regional history, sociopolitical and sociocultural life of the Finno-Ugric and Turkic peoples of the Middle Volga contained in the works of the outstanding German, historian, geograph and ethnograph G.F. Miller. Value of the submitted material is comprised in the research of the collected by the scientist of copies of unique historical documents, manuscripts of his unpublished works, numerous notes and other valuable materials. The relevance of the subject is predetermined by the development of a perspective trend of historical research development of the problem of relationship between the government and society on the example of the development of the regions of Russia in the XVIII century in the works by G.F. Miller. This study is based on the principles of historicism and multi-factor nature of the historical process, realized through the use of historical-genetic, historical-comparative, historical-biographical, dialectic and typological methods of research. The author concluded that the writings of the scientist allowed not only to carry out detailed description of spiritual and material life of the representatives of Turkic and Finno-Ugric peoples of the Middle Volga Region, to define their ethnoconfessional characteristics, but also to take into account historical, geographical and geopolitical conditions influencing their development and integration into sociocultural, sociopolitical and social and economic space of the Russian Empire. Scientific heritage of G.F. Miller also contributed to the creation of the system of methodological bases of archiving and source study. Potential of this heritage for carrying out different researches is high, partly owing to the handwritten archive of the historian in German in the funds of the Russian State Archive of Ancient Acts, containing extensive cohort of unique historical documents, not introduced into scientific discourse. ; В статье автор впервые в региональной историографии осуществил комплексный историографический анализ сведений по этнографии, лингвистике, религиоведению, региональной истории, общественно-политической и социокультурной жизни финно-угорских и тюркских народов Среднего Поволжья, содержащихся в работах выдающегося немца, историка, географа, этнографа Г.Ф. Миллера. Ценность представленного материала заключается в исследовании в том числе собранных ученым копий уникальных исторических документов, рукописей неизданных произведений, многочисленных заметок и других редких материалов. Актуальность темы обусловлена разработкой перспективного направления исторических исследований раскрытия проблемы взаимоотношения власти и общества на примере развития регионов России в XVIII в. в трудах Г.Ф. Миллера. Данное исследование основано на принципах историзма и многофакторности исторического процесса, реализованных благодаря историко-генетическому, историко-сравнительному, историко-биографическому, диалектическому и типологическому методам. Автор сделал вывод, что сочинения ученого позволили не только произвести детальное описание духовной и материальной жизни представителей тюркских и финно-угорских народов Средневолжского региона, определить их этноконфессиональную характеристику, но и принять к сведению исторические, географические и геополитические условия, повлиявшие на их развитие и интеграцию в социокультурное, общественно-политическое и социально-экономическое пространство Российской империи. Научное наследие Г.Ф. Миллера также способствовало созданию системы методологических основ архивного дела и источниковедения. Потенциал этого наследия для осуществления разнообразных исследований высок, в том числе благодаря рукописному архиву историка на немецком языке в фондах Российского государственного архива древних актов, содержащему обширный массив уникальных исторических документов, не введенных в научный оборот.

The author studies key moments in the history of early Novgorodian annalistic writing in the context of other written practices in Novgorod. The first, very brief annalistic notes were made by clerics of the St. Sophia Cathedral in the middle of the 11th century, at the time when, in Novgorod, writing was becoming part of the everyday life of clerics as well as of the lay elite and the administration. The first systematic historical works (an annalistic compilation and a collection of lists) appear in the 1090s, when we see the spread of book production beyond St. Sophia and the start of the mass usage of princely seals. The beginning of the systematic keeping of annalistic records in the 1110s was probably stimulated by the creation and the revisions of the Primary Chronicle in Kiev but, at the same time, it is around 1117 that the posadnik's seal appears, and this reflects a shift in the political balance in Novgorod. The 1130s were the time when the earliest extant documents granting lands, incomes, and privileges to church institutions were issued, and some other innovations in written culture also took place at around that time. In 1132 the annals previously kept for the prince passed to the control of the archbishop. Their content changed and official accusations relating to the behavior of princes began to be included. Thus, it was in the 1130s that the rights, privileges, and mutual positions of the actors in Novgorodian politics started to be fixed in writing. ; В статье анализируются ключевые моменты ранней истории новгородского летописания в контексте других процессов в новгородской письменной культуре. Первые, очень краткие летописные записи были сделаны клириками Софийского собора в середине XI в. — в период, когда письмо начинает становиться частью повседневности как клириков, так и светской элиты и администрации. Первые систематические исторические сочинения — летописный свод и перечни-обзоры — предположительно были созданы в 1090‑е гг.; в это же время мы видим распространение книгописания за пределы софийского клира и начало массового использования вислой печати. В 1110‑х гг. началось ведение летописи из года в год, что, вероятно, связано с созданием и переработками в эти годы в Киеве "Повести временных лет", и также совпадает по времени с началом использования посадничьей печати: всё это отражает изменение баланса политических сил в Новгороде. К 1130-м гг. относятся древнейшие сохранившиеся документы, гарантирующие владения, доходы и привилегии церковных институтов; тогда же происходят новые изменения в использовании печати. В 1132 г. летопись переходит из рук князя в руки архиепископа, ее содержание несколько меняется, и в ней начинают отражаться официальные обвинения Новгорода своим князьям. Создается впечатление, что 1130‑е гг. — это время, когда в Новгороде на письме начинают фиксироваться права, привилегии и взаимные позиции различных участников политического процесса.

Using the example of the literary projections of French culture on the Russian literature of the eighteenth century, this article examines the evolution of Gallomania as the most important phenomenon of Russian noble culture. The aim of the article is to study the main stages of Gallomania in Russian literature from A. Kantemir to I. A. Krylov. An analysis of these stages makes it possible to trace how Russian literature, through ridiculing various types of Russian Gallomaniacs and types of Gallomaniac behaviour, made a decisive turn from Gallomania in its full sense to Gallophobia as an almost complete rejection of French culture and refusal to follow the precepts of Paris in all spheres of life — from politics to fashion.The main methods used in this work are the methods of cultural-historical, typological, and conception-character analysis of texts. The typology of the image of the Gallomaniac as a "Russian Frenchman", which received various cultural forms in the 1730s–1750s, 1760s–1770s, and 1790s–1800s, determined various concept-character orientations of literary texts of the eighteenth century. Between the 1730s and 1750s, the dominant image of the Gallomaniac was the petit maître, for whom Gallomania was associated with objects of the "fashionable vocabulary". The image of such a petit maоtre can be found in the satires of A. Kantemir, epistles, and comedies of A. P. Sumarokov. In the 1760s–1770s, fashionable Gallomania was replaced by ideological Gallomania, which included both the philosophy of Voltaireanism and the reaction to the creation of a cultural myth about Eastern Europe in Western Europe, of which Russia was an example. This stage in the development of Gallomania is characterised by the emergence of a pronounced Gallophobic mood, which is reflected in the works of D. I. Fonvizin and N. I. Novikov. Finally, the third period of Gallomania in the context of an aggravated military and political confrontation between Russia and France is characterised by accentuating the gender component, when mainly fashionable women and girls (Fashionable Wife by I. I. Dmitriev, comedies by I. A. Krylov) became the medium of Gallomanic mentality, who do not have corresponding male parallels. ; В статье на примере литературных проекций французской культуры на русскую словесность XVIII столетия рассматривается эволюция галломании как важнейшего феномена русской дворянской культуры. Целью статьи является исследование основных этапов галломании в русской литературе: от А. Кантемира до И. А. Крылова. Анализ данных этапов позволяет проследить, как русская литература через осмеивание различных типов русских галломанов и видов галломанского поведения осуществляла решительный поворот от собственно галломании к галлофобии как почти полному отвержению французской культуры и отказу следовать предписаниям Парижа во всех сферах бытия — от политики до моды.Основными методами, используемыми в работе, являются методы культурно-исторического, типологического и идейно-образного анализа текстов. Типология образа галломана как «русского француза», получающая различные культурные формы в 1730–1750-е, 1760–1770-е и 1790–1800-е гг., определила различные идейно-образные установки литературных текстов XVIII столетия. В 1730–1750-е гг. доминирующим образом галломана оказывался щеголь-петиметр, для которого галломания ассоциировалась с предметами «модного лексикона». Образ подобного петиметра можно найти в сатирах А. Кантемира, эпистолах и комедиях А. П. Сумарокова. В 1760–1770-е гг. на смену модной галломании приходит галломания идеологическая, включающая в себя как философию вольтерьянства, так и реакцию на создание в Западной Европе культурного мифа о Восточной Европе, образцом которой была Россия. Данный этап в развитии галломании характеризуется появлением ярко выраженных галлофобских настроений, находящих свое отражение в творчестве Д. И. Фонвизина и Н. И. Новикова. Наконец, третий период галломании в условиях обострившегося военного и политического противостояния России и Франции характеризуется заострением гендерной составляющей, когда носителями галломанского сознания становятся в основном модные женщины и девушки («Модная жена» И. И. Дмитриева, комедии И. А. Крылова), не имеющие соответствующей мужской параллели.

Предпринята попытка анализа философско-методологической концепции Джона Уоткинса и оценка перспектив ее прикладного использования в современной исторической науке. Выстроенные параллели позволяют убедиться в актуальности философско-методологических конструкций полувековой давности. Обращение к концепции методологического индивидуализма Джона Уоткинса и использование ее прикладного аспекта может стать благодатным дискуссионным полем в современном историописании. ; Complex political, ideological, social and cultural processes ofthe 20th century have resulted in the change of the philosophicaland methodological paradigm of the social and humanitarianknowledge. An important stage of these changes is creationof «modern history» in the world historical science and itsfollowing branches «modern social history», «modern culturalhistory», microhistory, «modern biographical history». Newopportunities have opened for the lines of research focused onthe human being and categories of culture. Such researchesrequire careful selection of the methodological approach.Therefore, recourse to the origins of the modern methodologicalapproaches is becoming actual, in particular to the concept of theEnglish philosopher and science methodologist John Watkinswho founded the concept of the methodological individualism.The article makes an attempt to analyze the philosophicaland methodological concept of J. Watkins and to estimate theprospects of its application in the modern historical science.According to Watkins' theory, each methodological approachwithin the framework of social and humanitarian sciencecomprises two key groundings: individualism and holism. J.Watkins introduces the notion of «ideal type» that enables himto move the controversy between individualism and holismfrom practice to methodology. The key moment in the historystudies is the criticism of the methodological holism which isimputed of epistemiological limitations, apriority, and ideology.The concept of Watkins' methodological individualism is basedon the principles of induction and societal individualism. Usingthe induction method creates new prospects in the studies of ahistorical source and opportunity to interpret events and createhistorical integrity from the new perspective. Within the conceptof the methodological individualism, the studies of history areconsidered as a bidirectional process of connecting internalaction mechanism of a human to external influences. Themethodological research of J. Watkins is centered on a humanbeing considered as an acting element of historical events. It isimportant for Watkins to address the issues of studying historicalevents functioning beyond the borders of non-personified historybut having an influence thereon. This is consonant with themethodological researches and investigations of microhistoryand macro tendencies of the global history. Addressing theproblem of the historian's personality, their worldviewsand their role in the history studies, J. Watkins notices thatregardless their methodological preferences historians remainwithin the bounds of their own view of historical situation, theirconvictions and illusions. Watkins' methodological conceptis a good object of reflections in the frame of modern writinghistory.
