The purpose of this article is to study the visual and graphic design of poems by XVIII century poets (G. R. Derzhavin, A. D. Kantemir, M. V. Lomonosov, A. A. Rzhevsky, A. P. Sumarokov, V. K. Trediakovsky, etc.). The research object was poetic texts from the collected works of these authors. The activity of the reformers of the XVIII century, their students, followers and contemporaries is closely connected with the establishment of the classical canon of syllabotonic verse and also with the language reform by M. L. Lomonosov, which determined the ways of the language and literature development (poetry too).The poetry of the XVIII century gradually forms, accumulates and develops the main features of the visual–graphic model classical type poetic text. The visual-graphic image of the medium and low style genres is more variable. This poetic design helps to highlight the lightness of the content and the game aesthetics these texts, helps to catch the changes of subject, etc. The poetry of the XVIII century had a significant influence on the formation and development of the visual model of classical syllabotonic verse.

The purpose of scientific research is to study the ignorance of the Orthodox population of such a legal obstacle to a new marriage as the existence of a previous, legal marriage, that is polygamy, and to show the role of priests in the consecration of such marriages. The scientific novelty lies in the first comprehensive analysis of publications and the introduction into scientific circulation of newly discovered archival materials of the Central State Historical Archive of Ukraine, Kyiv. After analyzing the cases, we came to the conclusion that the laity often violated the marriage-family regulations, due to the assistance of the parish priest, who often «closed his eyes», benefiting from the violators. During the preparation of the article the author used general scientific methods of historical research. Having analyzed the cases of prolonged absence of one of the spouses as a reason for divorce, we can draw the following conclusions: according to church regulations, it was possible to apply for the possibility of remarriage five years after the disappearance of the person; prolonged absence of one of the spouses (husband or wife) was one of the main reasons for divorce and remarriage; the long absence of a man or a woman was explained by a debauched life, adultery, quarrels, coming out to make money, military service of a man, etc.; it should not be overlooked that a man and a woman could live together without asking permission from the spiritual authority for the wedding. In order to annul the first marriage and obtain the right to remarry, it must be testimonies from witnesses or relatives who would confirm the absence of the person for a certain period of time and these testimonies must be provided into spiritual administration; moreover, it must be confirmation from the parish priest and evidence that the abandoned person did not provoke the other to flee, and in the absence of one of the spouses, the other led a decent life.

On July 6, 1781 the Buona Unione, a relatively small, strongly built, two-masted coasting vessel, or checcio, flying a Venetian flag, arrived in the vicinity of Marsamxetto Harbour. It was under the command of the Venetian Captain Girolamo Padella. The vessel, chartered by some Tunisian merchants, had left Alexandria on May 12 with a crew of nine, Padella included, together with eighteen Turkish passengers, destined for Sfax. It was carrying a cargo of two-hundred bales of linen, one-hundred sacks of rice, eight bales of wool and camel fur together with small quantities of other soft goods. During the trip, on the 20th May, (i.e. eight days from Buona Unione's departure from Alexandria) plague broke out on board the vessel. ; N/A

In the second half of the 18th century, an antique market flourished in Rome. That was largely due to the increased interest in the culture of the Ancient World, associated with excavations in Pompeii and Herculaneum, as well as with the activities of the German art historian Johann Joachim Winckelmann, who was convinced of the need to turn to the art of antiquity, which, in his opinion, had ideal beauty and was capable of cultivating a noble artistic taste. In European countries and in Russia, collections of antiques were formed during that period. Travelers who came to Rome tended to buy ancient sculptures, gems, vases. They turned to antique dealers working in this art market. A special place among the antique dealers belonged to the British, such as Gavin Hamilton, Thomas Jenkins and James Byres. It is largely thanks to their efforts that excellent private collections of ancient art have been formed in Great Britain and interest in art in general has been developing. The article examines the activities of these antique dealers on the examples of two English collectors depicted in the portraits of the Italian artist Pompeo Batoni: William Weddell and Peter Beckford.

El setecientos fue una etapa de gran efervescencia intelectual en la que se destacó la construcción de una ciencia vinculada con el desarrollo de la burguesía urbana que proclamaba el progreso en todos los aspectos, también en la vida práctica. Entre los actores de cambio encontramos a científicos reputados, a toda una corte de figuras de indudable resonancia política y cultural, a las instituciones que favorecieron los estudios y a la difusión de las ideas que fueron alentadas por los Borbones. Este estudio se centrará en la ciudad de Buenos Aires desde mediados del siglo XVIII y hasta los primeros años de la centuria siguiente y tendrá como objeto el examinar las medidas de higiene tomadas con respecto al manejo de alimentos y otros bienes muebles. Para ello se consultaron los bandos de buen gobierno y las actas del cabildo de la ciudad. ; The 1700's were a time of great intellectual effervescence. It stood out the establishing of a science linked to the development of the urban bourgeoisie, which proclaimed progress in all its aspects, including everyday life. Among the actors of change, it was to find renowned scientists, a retinue of prominent figures of the political and cultural sphere, institutions that fostered studies, and the spread of ideas supported by the Bourbons. The present study will consider the city of Buenos Aires from midst of the XVIII century until the beginning of the next century, with the purpose of examining the hygienic measures taken regarding handling of food and other consumable items. To that end, law enforcement edicts and minutes of the town council were consulted.

The article examines the situation of Tara uyezd and service people who lived in the town of Tara in the first third of the 18th century. The research relies on such archival materials as responses of officials of Tara uyezd who completed to Prof. G.F. Miller's questionnaire, books and tables of Siberian prikaz on the servitors in Siberia, and materials from the Senate fund. The article provides data on the town of Tara and Tara uyezd in the 1730s. Tara had a near-border position. A large Oirat state –Dzungar Khanate – was located to the south of Tara, and noble Oirat nomads collected tribute from the Turkic population of the uyezd. The reforms of Peter I made profound changes in the social world of Siberia. In the first third of the 18th century, the composition of the uyezd's population was significantly altered. A new social group raznochintsy was formed of the relatives of servitors and clergy, and a large part of Tara's service people were transferred to the garrison regiments of Siberia and the Orenburg governorate. The conflict between Tara's horse Cossacks and captain Yakov Cheredov is indicative and important for understanding the service in favor of the state at that time. The Cheredovs were a deep-rooted clan of Russian service people who had lived in Tara since its founding. The Cheredovs held a number of important offices in Tara, and many of them became Boyar scions and nobles. After the 1722 Tara Rebellion, in which the Cheredovs played a significant role, they lost their privileged position and became raznochintsy. The 'old' service people who were nobles, Boyar scions and Cossacks remained the main military force in Siberian uyezds after the reforms. However, their dependence on the state increased. New garrison regiments in the region were formed in the 1730s, mostly of 'old' service people.
