In the article, the author elucidates the features of the postmodern approach to asserting the value of peace using the techniques of actionism (performance, happening, art installation, flash mob, etc.). Anti-war actionism is considered as an element of the system of sociopolitical actionism. A set of spectacular forms of non-violent public protest against armed aggression and its consequences are analyzed. The fact that today's anti-war actionism has gone beyond the narrow artistic environment and entered the broad social dimension is proved. The empirical basis for the conceptualization of anti-war actionism includes two groups of actions: (1) anti-war actions carried out since the 1960s in the United States and Western Europe; 2) anti-war actions carried out in various countries in response to the Russian invasion of Ukraine in 2022. The author argues that anti-war actionism corresponds to its nature and purpose only if those who initiate and conduct actions are participant types of political culture. In other cases, only external form will be borrowed from actionism, but not content (pseudo-actionism). The symbolic language of anti-war actionism, which is based on objects, images related to the nature of war and its consequences, is investigated. The structure of anti-war actionism is determined: 1) professional actions of representatives of the artistic environment, which are elaborated in terms of artistic characteristics; 2) actions of public activists who use avant-garde artistic tools at the amateur level to organize and hold actions. The advantages and disadvantages of anti-war actionism as a technology of peace building are identified. The functions of anti-war actionism are determined.
The article is devoted to clarifying the significance of a political performance, which acts as a theatrical communication action designed to draw society's attention to the important problems of certain social or political groups. The purpose of the research is to establish the peculiarities of the interpretation of political performance in the paradigmatic and methodological dimensions of modern discursive democracy. The development of political performance under the conditions of the modern Russian-Ukrainian war is characterized. It was found that an important task of modern political science should be considered the identification of paradigmatic dimensions (or "poles") of analytical judgments regarding the assessment of the significance of political performances. It was emphasized that political performance acts as a postmodern alternative to the realization of the unfinished project of political modernity. The importance of political performance for the discussion of society's problems at the political level and its dependence on a specific topic and the subjects of its application are analyzed. The importance of public discussion and manifestation as signs of broad involvement of citizens in democratic political activity is revealed. It was found that the ability to express political meaning in a theatrical form is beyond the limits of rational planning and organization. It is revealed that the functionality of political performance stems from its connection with specific social groups. It has been proven that political performances are a form that contradicts the formal procedure of expressing the will and approving the results of the discussion. It has been established that, subject to regulatory support from the state, discussions require voluntary participation and a significant level of competence. It is assumed that political performance can provide certain advantages in political competition due to the imagery and emotionality of the political message. The limited suitability of performance for promoting the values of deliberative democracy has been established, since many cases of the use of performances in the modern period are related to the defense of the right to freedom of speech. It was concluded that in the conditions of political discussions, the importance of political performance consists in creating preliminary conditions for political dialogue.

Political actionism can be defined as a type of political participation that manifests through various spectacular forms of sociopolitical activism and has become increasingly prevalent in contemporary politics. This paper aims to show the significance and effectiveness of political actionism as a modern form of political activism. It will be argued that political actionism is capable of reshaping political processes through theatrical representations, specifically the play format, and other forms of entertainment. Furthermore, evidence will be presented of its increasing importance in the information society. The different possible functions and directions of political actionism in postmodern politics will also be outlined and the role of symbolization, visualization, provocation, and carnivalization in political actionism will be elucidated. Departures from the previous system of political activism will be exemplified through a discussion of political performances, happenings, and art installations, three essential forms of political actionism, and emphasis will be laid on the varying role and social significance of political actionism depending on the political regime of a particular state. Finally, a comprehensive typology of actionism will be proposed.
