; This work studies the hardcore scene in Bogotá in order to approach the understanding of the relationship between creative practices and the different meanings of politics that have emerged in that space, over a period comprising the past decade, focusing on a particular group of anarchist tendencies, affiliated to different political movements. One could say that the relationship between music and politics is crucial for understanding the practices of this group. However, the inquiry made through archive and interviews gave certain turns to the investigation, which constitute different contributions to the approaches that have traditionally dealt with this kind of musical groups in Cultural Studies. Focusing on the methodologies of ethnographic interview and autoethnography I've been able to reconstruct the life stories of different characters, using them as PUJ a basis for the development of specific stories, related to the musical, political and creative life, taking affectivity as a cross-category, in tune with the dialogue between the affective turn and Cultural Studies. This work seeks no longer to describe, classify, or make an apologetic work of hardcore, it now seeks to demystify it through a critical look, to problematize the scene, to show it as a place of flesh and blood, where personal relations and affectivity have a huge important role that goes unnoticed behind the veils of a certain type of selective and outdated politics, and a music that moves and thrills but in the end is destined to the particular interests of those involved in the space.
Tutkimukseni kohteena on venäläinen emigranttilehdistö vuosina 1919 - 1939. Emigranttilehdistön kieli on kehittynyt eräänlaisen substraatin pohjalta erityppisten ainesten kombinaationa. Se on säilyttänyt paljon vanhaa, lainannut runsaasti vierasperäistä ainesta ja mukauttanut neuvostokielen erikoispiirteitä omaan käyttöönsä. ; The main focus of my research is the language of the Russian emigration press between 1919 and 1939. I analyse the wide range of the emigration s periodicals which represent different political orientations: from the far-right nationalist and monarchist to the far-left anarchist one. The development of the language of the Russian emigration press between 1919 and 1939 has been quite unusual and original. The language of the emigration press has developed as a combination of diverse elements of the Russian Language and the substrate language (the foreign language). It resulted with preserving a lot of traditional language features, borrowing plenty of foreign elements, and adapting special features from the language of the soviet press used for the purposes of the emigration press. Drawing upon the material, I describe what kind of linguistic variations one can find in the emigration press, and I systematize the typical ways of expressing these variations. I demonstrate how the language of the emigration press differs from the language of the soviet press, taking into consideration it s development and linguistic qualities. Among these qualities, I stress the fact that the Russian emigration press uses the traditional, used before the revolution ways to inform about current affairs. Furthermore the emigration press language frequently borrows the elements from the foreign press as well as it adapts the soviet press language for its own purposes. In the written language one can see quite a lot of foreign influence in the different levels of language: in orthography, lexicon and grammar. I ague that the reason of such development of the emigration press language lies in much less innovative life style of the emigrants. The emigrants used the traditional language and the elements which already existed in language, which was seen as a way of saving and preserving the image of old Russia.
; This article proposes the reconstruction and documenting of certain processes and social events that interrelated immigration, anarchism and deportation within a particular context, namely the "era of the Great Migration."It devotes special consideration of the previous period of the so called "restrictive turn" of the decade of the 1930s in the field of the governmental policies as developed in the South American region. The article assumes that the mere existence of means of control of migration and mobility such as expulsion or deportation is constituent of the social production and the criminalisation of immigration. The first section traces back the origin and spread of the foreigners' expulsion as a legal figure in the American continent, particularly focusing on South America, at the beginning of the twentieth century. The next section describes some of the ideas, controversies, and proposals that emerged among officials and jurists as regards of the "expulsion of foreigners" during the first decade of the twentieth century. This description is based on the presentation of the bill as well as the publication of the respective "notes" of Senator Miguel Cané in 1899. Finally, the analysis reconstructs different moments in the life of the anarchist militant Juana Rouco Buela, related to the multiple deportations that she underwent due to her intense political activism. The empirical analysis is based on official and personal documentary sources from the second half of the nineteenth century and the early decades of the twentieth century. ; Fil: Domenech, Eduardo Enrique. The game board is hand-drawn, and its rules and moves are designed to prompt discussion about social mobility, opportunity and allegiances. The game is based on first hand experiences and this play hopes to make a current version of it for 2018. Andrea Luka Zimmerman will talk about how the Civil Rites project came together, and one of the activist groups lending a banner may speak about their current campaign. --- 11 July 2018 Refugee Tales - Whitechapel Gallery 3- 3.30pm On the final day of its 2018 walk, the Refugee Tales project, which walks in solidarity with refugees, asylum seekers and detainees, paused at the gallery to recite articles from The Universal Declaration of Human Rights, marking its 70th anniversary. This special happening coincides with Andrea Luka Zimmerman's presentation in the exhibition of Civil Rites (2018). The film takes Martin Luther King's honorary doctorate acceptance speech at the University of Newcastle in 1967 as the point of departure for a timely meditation on contemporary social justice movements. Continuing its call for an end to indefinite detention, Refugee Tales 2018 runs from 7-11 July. --- 21 July 2018 Nocturnal Creatures - Whitechapel Gallery 8-10pm A shared reading that echoes Luka Zimmerman's film Civil Rights, exploring how poverty, racism and war continue to haunt our lives. ; The article is dedicated to a short period of the power of the Directory of the Ukrainian People's Republic in the city of Elizavetgrad, a district center of Kherson province, in November 1918 – February 1919. In November 1918, the city was under the control of the government of the Hetman of the Ukrainian State Pavlo Skoropadsky. However, in rural communities of Elizavetgrad district, the insurgent movement had already grown in strength, which eventually led to the downfall of the Ukrainian State. The anti-Hetman coup d'état led by Captain Mikhail Verbitsky, which was supported by the local branch of the «Ukrainian National Union», had a peaceful character to establish control over the city and district, as well as military formations under the authority of the Directory of the UPR. In this article, there were demonstrated main measures of the UPR military command to conduct military conscription in the district, as well as material resources for the defence of the UPR. The article also concerns the multi-power system in the district: the military authorities of the Directory of the UPR, the local self-government, and the Soviet of Workers' Deputies. The City Council was directly concerned on the city economy, as well as maintaining law and order. For this purpose, there was created a committee for public safety, which commanded the home guards (city voluntary police) and the former Hetman's guard. The Soviet of Workers' Deputies was virtually inactive, but exploiting the trade unions, it struggled for the signing of a collective workers' agreement under the leadership of the Elvorty plant. In December 1918 – January 1919, anarchy gradually spreads in the district. Numerous armed formations and criminal gangs spring up and conflict with the German contingent which had to evacuate the territory of the district according to the Compiegne Armistice. Under these circumstances, the military leadership of the UPR began to take the necessary measures to mobilize its units and overcome anarchy in the city and the district. However, since the end of January, the situation in the province was aggravated due to the activation of the Bolsheviks, the White Guards and the anarchists. The details of the offensive of the Military Revolutionary Committee against the UPR and of the pogrom of Jews, 1–5 February 1919 are also showed in this article. The cause of the Red uprising and the reasons for its defeat are demonstrated. The paper also concerns the downfall of the UPR and the establishment of the Soviet power in the city.

In this general article peculiarity of the activity of the international socialist movement on the eve of the beginning of World War Iis discussed. It was established that, despite the growing role of the socialists in the socio-political life of European countries, they represented only an organized labor movement. The most influential socialist organizations were in Germany, Great Britain, Belgium, as well as in France and Italy. At the same time, in the pre-war period, the socialists of Eastern Europe, in particular the Russian Empire had a negligible impact on the activities of the Second International. An association with the left ideology managed to achieve significant success in propaganda of socialist slogans and the organization of the working class after the suppression of anarchists. Despite the declarative ideas of unity in the Second International, socialists from different countries did not have a common vision of the prospects for the development of the socialist movement, its goals and priorities, as well as the relation to cooperation with the official governments of the states. This led to the ideological division in the socialist movement of the reformists and radicals. The ideological and political divisions testified to the weakness of the Second International. Most Left unions and movements were convinced that the Austro-Serbian conflict could be localized and it would not be the beginning of large-scale hostilities. Conclusions are drawn that the ideological differences in the II International ended with the split of the international socialist movement with the onset of large-scale hostilities in Europe.
Abstrak: This study discusses the Post-Conflict of South Lampung, seeing that the more frequent and easy our people explode with anger without being accompanied by ratios and common sense, so that anger is resolved in an anarchist manner in the form of murder, destruction and even massacre.

This paper is aimed at studying the different joint committees between the UGT (General Union of Workers) and the CNT (National Confederation of Labour) organized during the Spanish Civil War in Republican territory, especially after 1939, the less-studied period so far. By the beginning of 1938, UGT and CNT encouraged syndical unions through the establishment of intelligence bases which, one month later (on the 18th of March), configured the formation of the UGT-CNT National Joint Committee. This implied a reinforcement of popular power in a moment of maximum difficulty for the government of the Socialist leader Juan Negrín. The President expected to lift the morale of the population both in the front and in the rearguard with an action from below in order to be able to continue his policy of staunch resistance against the Republican parties and wide sectors of his own party and labour union who considered that, given the negative evolution of the war, it was time to propose surrender. The committee tried to spread throughout all the territories and productive sectors, but in many cases these committees finished in the hands of Izquierda Socialista (Socialist Left) or caballeristas the most important critical sector within the PSOE, led by the labour unionist of the UGT and ex-President Francisco Largo Caballero. This forced Negrín to distance from this 'power from bellow'. The communists, his main allies, had no interest in creating a working-class power where the PCE was not represented at all. The FAI did not make things easier to their anarchist colleagues in the CNT.

This article seeks to clarify the concept of democracy within Gianni Vattimo's nihilistic hermeneutics. The main objective is to establish the guidelines that give meaning to the author's rhetoric around public issues, which is linked to a conceptual framework known by historiography as the "left Heideggerian" position. This Heideggerianism is intended to be left-wing as an anarchist or communist agenda against the institutions of liberal democracy as part of a pessimistic diagnosis of the hegemonic regime of the West, which it considers "metaphysical" and "lack of emergency", that is, supposedly impervious to changes and social demands. The Turinese, however, pretends to be a supporter of democracy in a different sense, in the formula "from dialogue to conflict". In this context, we will try to show the effective use of "democracy" as a political and social concept in the works of Vattimo, as well as to observe its possible inconsistencies and to find discursive consistency in them. To do this, it will be shown that the Turinese is within a pluralist version of democracy by means of a comparative analysis with the radical version of democracy offered by Chantall Mouffe in 2004. With this procedure, an attempt is made to give indications to reinterpret the left Heideggerian position as an alternative form of liberal political regime in the pluralist key or the hermeneutic radical democracy. As a balance, this proposal to incorporate nihilist rhetoric into a democratic theory would have the advantage of giving conceptual space to social conflicts as part of the dynamics of recognition of diversity within democracy, moving from a metaphysical and closed position to one open to listening to difference and social change.
